+ -1 moreAt first, I thought it would be great. A professional lady came to evaluate home and said she would email estimate. A month later, my service was scheduled. Never received estimate, One late. one a no-show. It just went downhill. Used twice. won't use again.

+ -1 moreWhen I started using 2 Chicks several years ago, the quality of the cleaning was always consistent. But over the years, the quality became so bad that many times, I had to spend an additional 2+ hours cleaning after the service had been there. The business has changed hands several times since I first hired them and the new owners do not seem to know what they are doing or who they are hiring. We terminated our relationship with them a couple of months ago and hired someone who used to work for them and did a good job. 2 Chicks sued her (and several other former employees who left the company) and now we have to find another service. I will not recommend this service to anyone going forward. What was a good company has gone bad.
Description of Work: General housekeeping. Scheduled once every 2 weeks.

+ -1 moreI feel that this bill is extremely too high. I requested whatever work done would be in the range of $130-----$150. I was charged $210.00 Both girls were polite and worked the entire time not taking phone calls etc.. Girl # 2 was very late. which ran the time of the work done at least an hour longer. I have Master's degree and have never made $70.00 and hour. I'm going to pay the bill but I am really annoyed having to pay that much.
Description of Work: Vacuumed the floors on the first story of our home. They Wiped down the 4 bathrooms. Mopped the wooden floors with Murphy soap. In the kitchen , one girl who was the one who showed up on time wiped down the stainless steel appliances and the granite counter tops. Actually she did all of this work except for the bath upstairs and staircase. The second girl who arrived 2 hours late cleaned the bath upstairs and vacuumed the stairs. Girl # 1 did 90% of the work. If both had arrived on time it would have taken a lot less time. In all they were at my house nearly 3 1/2 hours. My other house cleaners can do that amount of work in 2 hours.

+ -1 moreI got them a long time ago through Angie's list. Now I use them all the time because I found a wonderful cleaner through 2 Chicks And a Broom. I have had them ever since, so I would highly recommend them to anybody. I was paying $30 an hour but now it is $35 an hour. It is worth every penny because the people they send out are trustworthy and polite. The girl that comes is such a pleasure to have in the house. I let her come and go. I even go out when she is here and I leave her in the house alone. They do everything you ask them to. I am not very fit and healthy, so she does the bedroom first so that I can take a nap. She is just excellent! I cannot fault them. They have a number of girls, if you don't like the first one, they will send you another one next time. I am used to my own girl so they send the same one every two weeks. If she is going on holiday, they call and say "She can't some next week. Is there somebody else we can find for you?" I’d be devastated if they stopped coming.
Description of Work: I use 2 Chicks And a Broom for general house cleaning services. They vacuum, dust, change the bed and polish among other things. I have used them for sometime now and they come around every 2 weeks to clean.

+ -1 moreWe have used Two Chicks and a Broom for over two years and have become increasingly disappointed by their service. They are punctual, but otherwise we have not been happy. I don't feel that the quality of their cleaning is up to par for their prices... you pay a lot more for their organic cleaners but the house never actually seems that much cleaner than when we left it. They do not move the coffee table to vacuum underneath nor to they vacuum under the couch. Their motto is out of sight, out of mind. My biggest complaint is the revolving door of employees. I made a specific request to have the same "chick" for each cleaning, but we have had six different people of the last two years. They clean when I am not at home so we have strangers in our house. When I complained they promised a free cleaning but then billed us for it. We have had enough.

+ -1 moreI have a small house and I enjoy cleaning, but I also need help with the deeper cleaning every couple weeks. Shea vacuumed and mopped the entire house, dusted everything and cleaned the bathrooms. She finished everything and I was very satisfied. It is great to have someone who can do the more general cleaning so I can keep up with the day to day. Shea was very professional.

+ -1 moreBrilliant! Be sure to let your chick know if you would like her to use your favorite product on furniture etc. & they will be glad to! The office always calls to remind you of your appointment the day before.
Description of Work: I first contacted the chix when I was unwell & couldn't manage my own housecleaning. I called the & they sent someone out to assess the situation to determine how many hours of cleaning was required. In my case 3. Since then I have had a "chick" for 3hrs 1x 2 weeks ever since. they arrive with all their own equipment, use all natural products, are well trained, cheerful and unobtrusive. I cannot praise this service highly enough!

+ -1 moreI have used this company several times. Each time a different person provided the cleaning services. Each time the results varied. Due to being very pregnant, I relied on them to help with specific tasks. Overall, this is a good company to use for general, non deep cleanings such as vacuuming and mopping. I was always disappointed when I requested anything specific to be deep cleaned. For example, I was once asked for them to focus on floors and dusting. I found that nothing was moved when they dusted and the floors were mediocre. The staff is very professional and trustworthy, however the cost is a bit much for the results provided. The convenience is the reason I will keep using them until I find an alternative.

+ -1 moreThis was my third experience with 2 Chicks & A Broom. The cleaners are courteous and punctual, but their performance has been below expectations each time. The first two times I had a four-hour service, the cleaners did not get to everything on the list I made, so the third time - I shortened the list to only dusting and floors. No bathrooms, no kitchens, and I closed off two rooms that didn't need cleaning. The cleaner was still unable to get through the list. It is important to be very clear about your expectations with the cleaning person - do a walk-through and make a list of everything you want done to include what 'level of clean' you expect for each task. Be realistic about what can be done in the amount of time the cleaner will be on site, especially if you are having a seasonal cleaning. If in doubt, have a manager from 2 Chicks come to your house and do an assessment before the service.
Description of Work: General housecleaning; dusting blinds and surfaces; dust ceiling fan blades; wipe baseboards; clean floors.

+ -1 moreI called this company one week ago for a consultation but is still waiting until 9:30 a.m. for them to show up for the appointment. Yes, I am very upset because it is the fourth company, who hasn't shown up to see place.
Description of Work: I had an appointment for consultation but nobody called or came by apartment. I left a message around 9:05 a.m. but still nobody came now. I told woman on the telephone that I worked so needed somebody on the weekend to come look at place.

Description of Work: Used company for three years at a cost of $240/month for bi-weekly cleaning., Over that time period I had recurring issues with attention to details and the completion of cleaning to do list. Overall fine for everyday cleaning, but not up to my personal expectations for detailed work for a cost of $30/hr.

+ -1 moreThey perform general housecleaning, pretty much anything you ask for they'll do. I found them very friendly and easy to work with, they charge $35/hour with a two-hour minimum. Nobody will clean as thoroughly as you do, but they try to do exactly what you ask for. They've come twice and and I'm satisfied with the job they're doing so far.

+ -1 moreOverall my daughter and I are very unhappy. They work by the hour and never finsh cleaning the house completely. Something is always left undone. They should work by the job, not by the hour. Normally they work 3 hours ($35 hr). Today was the last straw. The girl worked less than 2-1/2 hours an d I had to ask her to redo the kitchen floor. They never remember to vacuum the stairs and the furniture is never polished, merely dusted with a feather duster.
Description of Work: I have been using this company since December and they keep getting worse every time. They work by the hour instead of by the job and they never finish, Last time they missed one bath room completely. I have to remind them to vaccuum the stairs. The glass never looks clean, always cloudy. If there is a towel on the floor they leave it there. Trash baskets in bath and BR are never emptied unless I call it to their attention. They always miss something. I would not recommend this outfit. I am dismissing them tomorrow and will try another cleaning service.

+ -1 moreSomebody came in late in each of the three times. The last time the one girl came in 10 minutes late. O.K. 10 minutes is not too bad, but the then she just left without a word to me. She was doing the bedrooms and bathrooms. The bedrooms are carpeted. She might have dragged her vacuum over parts of the carpet but certainly not long enough to pick stuff up. The base of the toilets was not done and the mirrors aquired fuzzy spots. I just cannot believe she up and left like that and left the other girl to deal with it. The other girl came about 25 minutes late, At least she had notified that she was late because she could not find her way. This one is pleasant and tried to do her best. She did the extra stuff like dusting the ceiling fans in the bedrooms and sweeping in front of the front door among other things. However, even she forgot the area -rug in the keeping -room. The young man did the same on the previous cleaning day. I do not feel like going on and on. I am surprised, however, with the fact that this company has such good reports on Angie's list. Anyway, I called them and told them I do not want their services anymore
Description of Work: They cleaned the ground floor of my house. 2 bedroms, 2 baths,dining, living, kitchen and keeping room. (Three times) First one person came and gave me an estimate. I was promised thorough ,professional cleaning. Among other things I was told they would vacuum under the edges of area rugs, dust hanging plates on the walls etc.etc. I do not think the girl who did the estimate knew exactly what she was promising. Also there was no card left with me. I had to call to verify her name. The first time two chicks came and did a generally decent job, but not all that was promised. (I had been told that the first time it would be 3 chicks. ) The second time, I was called with the information that the chick scheduled had car troube and they would get somebody else within the hour. A young man came in about an hour, he did not have the customary work order but they emailed notes from the estimate. After that I called them and told them that I expect they schedule two people as they had told me when I started the service. I also went over the notes in the email taking out things I did not want done and emphasizing cleaning that I was expecting be done and emailed it back to them.
