First let me say that Paris Electric has been bought out by "Hiller Plumbing". The supposed happy plumber. I was not happy at all with these guys and their slogan if your not happy its free is bogus! They installed a septic tank and lines for my mobile home. They were supposed to show up two times before , they finally showed the day before it was delivered. Once the home was set up it took them three days just to hook up the water and sewer line to the house. It was comical to watch these guys. They had no clue what they were doing. By the second day I was wishing I never called them. I almost had a stroke when they handed me the bill. I complained to the company to no avail. I have no complaints about leaks or anything like that, everything works as it should. But the cost and the time they took was unexcusable! I will never recommend this company, and I will NEVER call them back!

This company gave an outrageous quote to repair less than six foot of waste drain pipe outside, (not underneath the house). All I asked for was the most simple then the guy started telling me the remainder of the drain pipe going to the street possibly needed to be dug up and replaced (extra forty one feet) which he gave a quote for that as well, and wow I definitely did not want gold lined drain pipe along with supporting their vacation plans (for either option). I was flabbergasted. Then when I declined the quote I had to listen to thirty minutes of his personal problems. He just kept talking, even his apprentice was bored as he was engaged with the company truck hub cap structure.
Description of Work: Tried to talk me into more services than I needed. He gave me the impression based on his quote price that he did not want the job.

They were called in to unstop a drain and they told us it was the pipes in under the house. We got them to fix it . The drain was still sopped up and they had to snake it out .All the work they done under the house was uncalled for. Then they tore up our hot water heater and made it leak and they would not fix it. We paid them $500.00 and still don't have any water.
Description of Work: Replaced a 2 inch drain pipe and1/2 inch water line.

I called Paris Plumbing and asked how much a service call would be. They told me $69.00 so I scheduled the call. The electrician came to my house, took a quick look around and then sat for around 2 hours doing an 'appraisal'. He told me that he would not do any work on the house because it would not pass the electrical inspection (it was in a 'pending' status at the time) and that they would probably have to do a 'demolition' of the walls, which would cost somewhere in the neighborhood of $5,000.00 to $10,000.00. At the end of this long, rambling appraisal, he presented me with a bill for approximately $380.00. That was bad enough to have to pay that for no work, but the most outrageous thing about it was that the appraisal was dead wrong. When I had the county electrical inspector out to my house a few days later, the house did pass the inspection (although the garage did not), so the Paris Plumbing electrician's diagnosis was totally wrong about the house. I kept looking until I found a reliable and trustworthy electrician to do the work on the garage to bring it up to code.
Description of Work: We wanted some electrical switches added to our new home, mostly just for the convenience factor.

On the afternoon of the 29th their employee arrived when he said he would. I am not going to name him. I had water backed up into my bathtub the night before while I was doing laundry and had problems with my pipes gurgling for a couple of weeks when the toiltet was flushed. I had this problem about 5 years ago and had the sewer snaked and it was full of roots. He snaked my sewer line from the cleanout and told me he got nothing out of it. I asked how far out he went and he said all the way into the street. He then mentioned that I needed a second cleanout to make doing this easier between the house and the original cleanout as the original runs parallel to the house. The first visit ran me $159. I asked how much it would cost me to have the extra work done and he said another $359. I live alone and money does not come any easier for me than it does others for unexpected repairs. I asked if they would hold a post dated check and he said he would get back with me. He called me in less than 15 minutes and told me they could do that. He said he would be here the following Monday morning to do the work. He didn't come or call Monday morning so I called him in the afternoon. He said he got hung up on another job but would be here later. He called later in the afternoon to tell me it would be the next day. The following moring he came and did the work and picked up the check I left for him as I was at work. I checked the area where he worked and he left pipe laying that he used on something not bothering to take it with him. I continued to have problems with my pipes gurgling. I called and talked with him and he came out and checked and said all was ok. I called again the end of August to tell them I had gray water on top of the ground and he came out. He checked the new cleanout and said water was running through easily but couldn't explain why my pipes were still grugling. He told me the water around it was from my AC. I am not going to dispute this because the water ws clear and there was no smell to it, however, I have lived here since 2006 and have never had that much water come from the AC unit before. He suggested I buy a product called Bio-Clean which they just happen to sell. I told him I could not afford it at this time but maybe later. Here it is 2 weeks since he was here and my toilet won't flush, my pipes continue to gurgle and I woke up this morning to the smell of sewer in my home. I went outside to find GRAY water standing al around my cleanout. I didn't even bother to call them back. I had them here 4 times last month, paid them $500 and for what. I called another company and spent another $221.00 and was told my line was full of roots as it was before in 2007 when I first had to have this done. I regret calling this company. I am not saying that all of their employees do the poor quality of work but the one sent to my home did me a great disservice. He appeared to be more concerned with getting dirty than he was making sure what I paid for was done and done correctly. I asked if he looked under my house to see if anything was leaking. He said he sent the young boy who appeared to be in his early teens to look and that he had seen nothing. Well, nothing is what I got from this company other than perhaps assisting them with making a house payment of their own. I called them today and spoke with the receptionist and told her what has occurred to date and that I was angry. She said she would let the owner know. I will post if I hear from the company. Personally, I think I am due a refund in full.
Description of Work: Snaked main sewer line from cleanout on July 29 then returned the next week to put in an additional cleanout between the house and the oiginal cleanout which is about 8 feet from the house. Returned 2 other times when I called with concerns about continued gurgling in pipes and slow flushing toilet only to tell me everything was ok it would eventually clear out. Also offered to sell me a product they carry called Bio Clean to eat away at build up in my sewer and plumbling lines.

Found water dripping near the water heater in my utility room on a Sat. morning before 8:00 A.M. After asking next door neighbor to shut off main supply to house for me to prevent damage, I learned the local handyman I use was out of town. Decided to call Paris since I had used them successfully several years ago for an electrical problem. I was told they could come within 3 hrs. ( Are based in a neighboring county, but serve surrounding counties). They also call you within 30 minutes of arrival time to let you know they are on their way. When they arrived they were professional in the way they did their job. It would have been less expensive not to have had to go into the crawl space to eliminate an overhead pipe as the problem, but I do not regret having done that. When I explained that I have a chemical sensitivity problem with strong petrochemical glues, they were able to quickly come up with a solution of replacing a part instead. From the time they arrived until leaving was approximately one hour. Left a very minimal mess to be cleaned up afterward.
Description of Work: Cause of dripping water near water heater in utility room was diagnosed by accessing a narrow crawl space in the ceiling to reach the pipes in the utility room. When source was traced to water heater cold water pipe itself rather than pipe in ceiling, it was repaired properly and quickly.
