We put in a whole house air cleaner. It was not connected correctly. The timer wasn't connected correctly. The communication was connected incorrectly so that it couldn't let me know that the whole house air cleaner needed to be serviced. The manual says that it needed to be cleaned by a professional but they did not let me know. They seemed to not have the knowledge base correctly.
Description of Work: They put in my whole HVAC system.

Their price was one of the highest, even higher than some estimates for a comparable Trane brand AC system.
Description of Work: I was looking for an AC installation contractor for a residential split-system AC heat pump system. After talking with several contractors, I put together a specification sheet. I had difficulties e-mailing that to Ricky of Town and Country Heating because of email address problems. Ricky did provide an estimate, but never made the effort to come out in person to check out the existing system or to ask questions. The estimate from Town & Country was almost $1800 higher than the lowest ones I received from other contractors. Maybe they had a really busy week, but I did not get a callback when I mentioned that other contractors were much lower and if they wanted to rework their estimate.

Once they got here service was accomplished in a timely manor.
Description of Work: They did a summer check up on two heat pump/acs. August 17 is rather late for a "summer season" check up. They cleaned the condenser coils, checked out electrical system and checked freon levels.

Part of the reason I did not use them was because they wanted to charge me $1600 to move the air conditioning unit. I was buying a split unit, where I was going to put in an air conditioning system upstairs. The new air conditioning system wouldn’t fit where the other one was, so I had to move the old one out; I wanted both to be on the same side of the house. I probably would consider using them again in the future.
Description of Work: I got an estimate from Town & Country Heating & Air Conditioning Inc to move an air conditioning unit.

They were really nice people. The person who came out was also very efficient. They were expensive, but they were thorough and neat. They were more expensive than what we wanted to pay.
Description of Work: He did a diagnostic check on our heating and air units. He found a leak in both units.

They fixed the problem and my air conditioner is working now, but I was disgusted with the price. I looked into it and knew the motor itself was under $300. I would only hire them again if I had no choice and I wouldn t recommend them to others either.
Description of Work: I had the fan motor replaced on my air conditioner.
