+ 3 moreIt is always a pleasure having Dale do work for us. He shows up on time, has all the necessary items and works until the job is done. If something doesn't go as planned he can always figure out an alternative plan. He keeps the work area clean and stays in touch about the work progress.
Description of Work: Dale has been doing work for my husband and me for the past three or four years. We keep a running list of our to do items. Some of the items are pond maintenance and/or repair, interior painting (done while we were away), drywall repair, cleaning windows, replacing interior toilet mechanisms, repairing carpenter bee damage, finding & repairing roof leaks, reworking gates on closets at our boat house, putting up shelving in pantry, adding more shelving to master bedroom closet, etc. He can do anything and has a knack for figuring out difficult situations.

+ -1 moreI called 865-816-2187 on 7/13 at 5:39 PM, and again on 7/14 @ 11:21AM. I got a generic greeting each time that didn't even confirm the number I had called, much less the name of the business. I left my name & number. No response. I emailed him on 7/16, no response. I called again on Tues 7/19, 11:13 AM and again on 8/12, 12:10 PM, left message inviting him to bid on constructing a 10x6 shed, and I STILL have had no response to date! I am sure this guy is busy, but I cannot fathom why such a highly rated contractor would decide not to even take time to call with some kind of explanation. I will not ever do business with him, and will not hesitate to share this experience if I am asked.
Description of Work: No services whatsoever were performed.

+ 2 moreIt started out with two guys, but now it's down to one guy. He is very handy, he does a lot of things for me around the house. He's really reasonable and good. I originally hired him for remodeling in our bathroom. He took two open cubbies and put molding and doors on them to make them closets. I had the wood and he bought the hinges and put it all together. He doesn't do electric, but he has someone he can call in for electric.
Description of Work: I use Always Handy all the time. I've been using them for about 2 years.

+ -1 moreHandy Andy arrived when indicated, he was very knowledgable, and offered a solution to the problem with the steps I had no considered. The work was completed while I was away on business upon returning home it was great to be able to come in the front with out fear of breaking my neck. I will give Handy Andy a call whenever I am in need of repair work or upgrades in my home.
Description of Work: Replaced damaged vinyl siding and realigned a set of brick steps.

+ -1 moreThis year will be the third season he has worked for us. He is always prompt, congenial and honest. His wife Ann helps manage our house in Tellico Village and comes 3 days a week. She does cooking, cleaning, runs errands and helps when we entertain. We keep a running "honey do" list of items to be done, and then call Dale.
Description of Work: Dale does various duties at our home on Tellico Lake. He first started doing handyman services, re-caulking windows, checking window hardware, hanging fans, repairing decking, finding and repairing gutter leaks, cleaning leaves off roof, lawn work, koi pond cleaning, inspects sprinkler system for breaks and repairs, removes sediment from hot water heaters, cleans refrigerator coils, tests smoke detectors, etc. We have a deck off the upstairs kitchen and under that decking is a water collection system that keeps the rain water from falling through to the downstairs porches. Dale inspects this drainage system and keeps any debris from collecting that would dam up the system and cause it to leak.

Description of Work: Dale and Glen have come to my home several times to perform a long list of projects mostly involving house and yard maintenance. They come when they say they will come, work steadily, do good work and charge a fair price. One recent job particularly stands out - they pressure washed the deck surface on some decks and a dock at my house. The finished job looks great - much better than the job I previously got using someone else. They are willing to take on a wide variety of types of projects. I strongly recommend them.

Dale and Glen came out and measured, found a local supplier for quality hardwood (at much lower price than the big box stores) brought me wood samples to select from and arranged for the delivery of the wood. They tore out two floors of dirty old carpet and old uncared-for parquet tiles. They installed hardwood with great care and precision over a few days. The floors are beautiful and their attention to detail shows.
Description of Work: This big project was to install hardwood flooring on two levels of my home. But they did many more projects: Installed light fixtures, removed a wall and replaced with a half wall, fixed a mail box post, painted kitchen cabinets, assembled office furniture, etc.
