Deserves negative stars. Incompetent. Price gouging. Terrible customer service.

When I first started using A&L in our new home 3 years ago. Customer service, experience, and knowledge were top-notch. I gave them many 5-star reviews after a service call or a cleaning. I have not had the same experience since they branched out into plumbing. several months ago I had A&L out to look at a noise my plumbing was making. They were not able to reproduce the sound. After my water softener cycled, I was told they would be back later that day to see if that may be the cause. After no one showed, I called. I was told that they could not find the problem and were not coming back. I received a bill a few days later. As cold weather is coming, I wanted my HVAC cleaned and inspected. When making the appointment, I was pressured into a maintenance agreement. I declined and said all I needed was an inspection and cleaning. I was quoted a price and scheduled the appointment. When the technical arrived he proceed to ask me what I wanted to be done. Explained to him I wanted cleaning and inspection. I was told that they only inspected and then made recommendations. He also tried to sell me on a maintenance plan. After telling him I was not interested in a maintenance plan, he became rude. in the end, I told him that I would find another company if A&L no longer provided seasonal inspections and cleaning without a maintenance plan or up charging after the inspection. One system is less than two years old (A&L instilled it) the other has been serviced by them every 6 to 8 months for the last 3 years. It is not like I am asking for a cleaning on a system that has been negated for several years.

I got five estimates, as I was considering 3 different brands. A&L did have the lowest price (none of the brands I was considering were low-cost builder-grade brands, though). This is probably partly because they were the only one out of 5 contractors who did a full load analysis. Full load analysis is supposed to be industry standard but DOE estimates 80% of heat pumps are oversized. A&L recommended a half ton smaller unit than what we had before. None of the other contractors did this analysis (I know because they didn't measure or look at all the rooms), even when I specifically asked about sizing. The employees, from the sales rep to the technicians and the owner were all punctual, professional, and able to answer lots of questions. I would definitely recommend them and will be hiring them again when the other unit needs to be replaced.

They are very good. It's pretty routine stuff. They came out and got it resolved. They did fine. Nobody said anything about paying them. They are really great. We know them well. We have already recommended them to a number of our neighbors. Several of them have called and they are happy with them.

This company was recommended by our home inspector. The entire process was handled in a professional manner. Sherrie, their salesperson listened to our needs and recommended a unit to do the job. The installation was completed on a timely basis. The owner Aaron reviewed the technicians work to insure it met their standards. The trim work they did on the outside looks great. I would recommend you consider this company for your HVCA needs.

Capacitor was just worn out and when I isolated the condensing unit it shot a voltage spike into t-stat. The price was extremely high. what I was charged for the capacitor and t-stat was at 300% mark up. I am an electrical contractor and feel I was ripped on the price. This is the second time I have used this company. But being ripped off that high on the parts will probably be the last. I am planning on completely changing out this system in 2 years while I am remodeling the house. I am going to get prices somewhere else do to the inflated price I had to pay for that night. I have been in this business for 35yrs and know what things cost.

EXCELLENT !!! explained each step of work to all concerned SO glad my son knew to contact them. This is rental property that realtor had mismanaged and it was such a relief to have this ac/heat problem fixed so quickly. really appreciated the way they coordinated work between rentor, my son who is taking over managing and myself before my husband and I signed over power of atty to our son on this property

Overall they did a really good job, Aaron and Amos were the installers of both units. Very thorough in their initial needs assessment for our home and made recommendations based upon our needs. Really like these professionals and would recommend them to anyone looking for a cost effective solution for HVAC systems or service. They're very responsive and reliable. Aaron always gets back with me promptly and tries to troubleshoot prior to coming out. We've had some issues with the dual fuel system but it's a manufacturing problem. They have followed up in resolving the current issue with the dual fuel system and it's working fine for now. I would certainly recommend A&L Heating to my friends/family as they do good work.

My experience was excellent! They arrived on time for the appointment. They answered my call in the middle of the night and fixed the unit the next morning when I had an issue.

My experience was wonderful. They came out right away and gave me a quote right away. They had the AC unit fixed immediately. I liked them so much that I used them again.

My experience was perfect. Our utility bill dropped quite a bit. They were in and out. I have recommended their services to others. They take pride in their work and it shows.

They are great to work with. Aaron, the owner, is very responsive. Aaron walked me through steps over the phone to warm things up until someone could make it out. We had a technician out within a couple hours later. He was able to resolve the problem.

They were able to come out on a weekend once when our heat was out. I thought that was really nice. I like their responsiveness, promptness. and professionalism. They are able to get out really quickly. They are not cheapest but you get what you pay for.

I was happy with what they did. There were two guys here doing the work and they were on time. The system worked well the entire year. I had no issues with scheduling. He was extremelly fair. They are my go to guys now.

They were wonderful. They are polite and always on time for the appointments. They have reasonable prices and they do good work.

Ihave had the opportunity to use many HVAC companies for residential and commercial applications. I highly recommend A&L for installs and maintenance. When recommending them. I always praise their trouble shooting abilities. I?ve had multiple problems with my residential system since it was installed. 3 companies tried to correct the problem- including replacing the condenser coil, thermostats, etc. . None resolved the efficiency and humidity problems. A&L corrected the problem at my home just as they did at an office building when had multiple mechanical failures plus air circulation problems. A&L is a relatively small and privately owned. Although they serve several neighboring counties, I can attest to their quick response times even during peak seasons. Their technicians are very knowledgeable, and they spend all the time needed to explain (in non-technical) terms what we should know. Also, I am continually amazed at their thoroughness and quality of work. When they clean electronic air filters and dehumidifiers, they are cleaned thoroughly- no shortcuts. These are tedious, time consuming tasks that some other technicians do half way. A&L is thorough. When they leave, everything is clean and returned to its proper place.

Their attention to detail was over the top. It was very nicely done. He took a picture of the logs to make sure they could re-install them the right way. They expanded the ducting and it is very quite. He made sure that it was done perfectly. They did the whole HVAC systems. It humidifies and the temperature always stays the same. If I got another unit I would go to them without hesitation.

Our house has some heating and cooling challenges because several rooms have huge amounts of window are exposed to the afternoon sun. We received proposals from several HVAC contractors, but the proposal from Aaron Sweetwood at A&L was by far the best. Aaron was the only contractor to propose a zoned system, which allowed the rooms with the biggest need to heating or cooling to get what was needed without multiple units. The Bryant system had superior ratings, is very advanced technologically, MUCH quieter than the prior system, and it has worked very well. The system was priced very well in comparison to the other proposals. Aaron was also the only contractor to bring up the TVA rebate program, which meant more paperwork for him but is saving us $350. A&L also lined up very favorable financing. Aaron and his team were extremely professional, knowledgeable, and helpful. They straightened out some wiring problems in the attic without charging more, and Aaron even helped me install my new over the range microwave when he saw that I was about to install it. Issues were few and resolved quickly. We are entirely pleased with Aaron and his team and with the system they installed.

I own an office building and a house and have had 10 ac units replaced over the years. This is the second time that A&L has done work for me and they are the best AC guys I've ever had do work. I would like to give them an A+. They do great work, show great attention to detail, and clean up their own mess leaving everything spotless. I will always call them in the future if I need any repairs done or if I need another new unit. PLUS I signed up for their maintenance service and I am having them install new computerized thermostats in all of our additional offices.

Aaron has worked on our units for about ten years now.aaron and his staff are always neat prompt helpful.i would recommend his company to anyone he is always fair with the prices he has quoted

The work was very professional and I feel I can contact them if need be. I gave the price a "c" because within the last 2 years I owned a home in Ohio and had the furnace and A/C replaced to include duct work and I paid half of what I paid here for a similar sized home.

They were great to work with. On time, professional, and did what they said they would do with out cutting corners. I would use them again.
