Description of Work: Mastercraft installed Bamboo in a rental house--approximately 1200 square feet. Hugh Meaney is very thorough walking me through the process to tear out current floor and install new floor. I appreciated his time in looking at every issue that needed to be addressed before writing an estimate. He is concerned about a quality product and is quite a craftsman in his approach. He is on the jobsite and uses a very small dependable crew to help him. We are planning to have Mastercraft Flooring replace the carpeting in the upstairs of own house this fall!

Description of Work: Sanded and refinished our 90-year old oak floors

Description of Work: Mastercraft Fine Wood Flooring did a flooring installation throughout the house for me in May.

Description of Work: Refinished our 18 year old hardwood floors and moved all necessary furniture. They are now bright and beautiful. The rest of the house was protected from the dust and the work was done very efficiently.

Description of Work: Refinished 690-square-feet of White Oak hardwood flooring in living room, 3 bedrooms, hallway, and 4 closets; that were badly scared, stained and carpet padding was stuck to.

Description of Work: We called Mr. Meany because he lives in Tellico Village where we were building our home. He came to our house ONLY ONCE to give us an estimate. At that time he did the moisture test, measured the floor, and gave us an estimate. We met with Mr. Meany just one time, only. He stated that he needed a $100 which was not a deposit (the Proposal given had no deposit required) to start the work. He stated the $100 was to put us on his 3 week out schedule. My husband was very reluctant to give anyone money upfront on fear of what took place. When we called after three weeks to have our floors installed, Mr. Meany said they were working on another job and it would be two more weeks. We were in no hurry, so waited, two weeks later Mr. Meany called and said it was going to be two more weeks. At that time my husband got tired of waiting, hired another flooring guy that also lives in Tellico Village area and does work for two other builders. He called Mr. Meany and said we could not wait two more weeks and asked that he mail the $100 to us. A few days later we received a letter from Mr. Meany explaining that the $100 was a charge for him to give us an estimate and the time to do this. My husband called to discuss and Mr. Meany cussed him out with words, no one can describe. The $100 was a small amount to argue about, but my husband felt he should have refunded it since he was too busy to do our job and felt we should not have been charged for a proposal.
