C & R ROOFING COMPANY

They inspected and measured the roof, got the estimate. I knew there was a leak around the chimney and I didn't know how old the roof was, but at least 16 yrs old. Not in good condition, but no other leaks. Very high pressure salesman, Mr. Hicks. I called a neighbor who had C & R put a new roof on, and he seemed satisfied. I checked BBB and noted there was a C& R Roofing listed, but from further south. Found out there was no connection. Quite prompt, but lousy weather, so they were delayed a day in the middle. Typical day labor, occasionally supervised by Mr. Hicks and foreman. 1/2 paid up front and rest at end of construction. Had me walk around from a distance to look at roof. Who can see what is not right from the ground? About 4 months later, during a rain storm, I discovered the chimney area was still leaking. Called week after week and Mr. Hicks would come out twice, but could never get them to fix the leak and he finally got nasty and hung up on me and my son calling from long distance. Never fixed the leak. Did not clean up the nails and scraps and the attic is a mess. I will never recommend C & R Roofing of Knoxville, Mr. Ray Hicks, owner. Doesn't back up work.

My wife usually finds all of the people we hire to come into our home but I am around to see what kind of work they do. I know that both she and I felt that this particular roofing company did a very thorough job on the work they did, we felt that they were friendly towards us and respectful of our home.

The roof was standing straight up in one spot so I called them to complain. They came out here one time and walked around like there was nothing wrong. They just grabbed and threw my new roof on and I was very upset about the finished production. I had to call another guy out here to repair my roof for $1100 more. I was devastated.
