I was very pleased with the work. It was not the cheapest estimate that I got, but Mike is very professional, as well as extremely responsive. He answered all my questions in a very timely manner. His crew showed up when they were supposed to, and they are very, very good at what they do- my walls and popcorn ceiling look almost perfect.

It took two months, but the guys were always on time. Mike kept us well informed of all the work issues and was helpful and pleasant at all times. Very professional outfit with perfectionist craftsmen who were eager to work with us, even when we asked to make some late changes.

Whether big or small jobs, Mike Yovino and his crew at HomeTek have been excellent and delivered high quality work on schedule. He is personable and very responsive to my requests and needs. I would highly recommend him -- he was recommended to me initially by a neighbor who was also pleased with his work.

We had previously gotten a couple estimates from HomeTek but went with other providers due to their high quotes compared to others, but decided to use them to paint our home, because "Mike", (the owner) told us how much experience he and his workers had. Reasons for our Review: 1st: We provided the paint so in his quote Mike told us to get 10 gals of paint - we thought it was too much so only got 6 gals and we still had 2 1/2 gals left over! A company who does painting should be able to accurately estimate the amount of paint needed and he should have reimbursed us. 2nd: his workers came Thurs am and started the prep work (scraping and pressure wash). Two guys worked 4 hrs that day, and 8 hrs the next day completing the painting, so approx 12 hrs (less breaks) to prep and paint - $2600 = $200/ hr! 3rd: We weren't happy with the color, (which in no way was his fault) but when we asked how much to repaint just the siding (no prep) he quoted $1700! (I had watched the worker spray paint one whole side of the house giving it two coats (without waiting until dry) and it only took him 20 mins). 2 1/2 sides at 20 mins per side? 1 - 2 hours - $1700? Needless to say, we will have someone else repaint it. 4th: When my husband got home several days later he saw more than a few spots that were missed; the lines where two colors meet (near the trim) are not straight in several areas and there is brown (trim paint) all over the inside on the white window sills. All things you wouldn't expect from professional painters! 5th: When the workers left after completing the job they left several things in the yard that they had moved before painting, not bothering to put them back. Our birdhouse, our hose they used, several other items and a wooden plank that was up to the window for my cats to go in and out into their kennel. I attempted to put it back in place and it hit the window and broke. When Mike got here to collect the balance of the payment (which I gave him) I was upset and told him if the workers had done their job it wouldn't have happened. He refused to take any responsibility. 6th: When I paid him the balance that he asked for, I told him I didn't think the amount was correct, but he insisted it WAS correct and acted like I just didn't want to pay him. After he left with the check my husband had to call and show him it was NOT correct and I then had to meet him at my bank where he was cashing the check. I got the check back and wrote it for the correct amount. I felt his attitude was very arrogant! (After all of the above things happened, he didn't understand why my husband was so upset with him; and finally 7th: We had him repair our gate before the painting which was another disappointment. When his workers left after supposedly fixing the gate and (without saying anything to me), I went and looked at it and found that the latch didn't work. When Mike came to collect his money that same day- $295 (which I gave him) I showed him the latch didn't work. He had to go and buy a new latch and fixed it himself. I'll never understand WHY his workers just left with it not working and didn't say anything! This should have been an indication as to future events. In short: We feel like his workers just didn't care and besides not putting things back when they finished, they also threw 7-10 cig butts in our yard, We feel he is way overpriced and the quality of the work was not what we expected and we would not recommend him to anyone. In response to HomeTek's response he says everything was fine until I broke the window which is NOT the case. It STARTED with the gate repair and continued with all of the above events. We tried to be understanding so we were not complaining to Mike until the window incident. Yes, it wasn't until after that happened that everything else came to light. My husband was not home for several days after the painting was done so could not inspect the work and alot of items in this review weren't known until after the window incident! Further, In the Company's Response Mike does not address anything, other than the broken window which is just one of many of our complaints! I would guess that's because there is no justification.

I was very happy with them. They did a very good job. They cleaned up after themselves. They were very upscaled people. They were very nice and very knowledgeable. They were very clean cut and professional looking all around. Their prices are competitive. They are a little bit pricey, but I did not mind paying it. I am planning on using them again.

Mike's crew showed up on time and were very professional. There were no hidden charges, everything was written in a contract and done in a timely manner. Home Tek made a terrible cleanup go smoothly. We wouldn't hesitate to call Home Tek if we ever need additional repairs.

Their price was right, very personal service and they do a very good quality job. They are punctual and I will use them in the future.

Great experience

They pretty much do everything on the inside. So far, we are very happy with everything they have done for us. We found about them through a referral from a neighbor. We would give them an A rating for everything. We would use them again in the future if we need to.

We have nothing, but good things to say about them. The owner is Michael Yovino. The price was a lot for the roof. The insurance paid for a lot of it. They did such a good job. We asked them not to damage the new bushes, and they didn't. They cleaned up after themselves. They fixed something that they felt needed to be fixed up there. The vent was out of the place and some other things like that. We just trust them with the things that they are doing. We were glad to pay them because we know they are honest. Our insurance company is great. The adjusters came out and said that we need a new roof and we also need a new gutter. The HomeTek guys were personable. They were very honest. They were very hard working. They were very prompt.
