G&B Carpentry

My project pushed back several days due to other contractor commitments and then weather. Once on site they were punctual and completed the job in a reasonable amount of time.

.The provider arrived on time ready to go to work. He had all of the required materials including plastic to cover the floor. After performing all repairs, he did a good job of clean up prior to his departure.

Did excellent job and even found some cracks I hadn't noticed and repaired also. Very pleased.

Overall, the experience was great. Casey was the onsite supervisor and handled a few issues that came up. No jobsite is perfect, so I really don't want to nitpick on the things that were wrong. What I would rather emphasize is that Casey and the crew addressed the issues and resolved them in a timely manner. They were respectful and returned calls/texts in a timely manner as well. I would hire them again for future projects, and recommend them to anyone. As with any project, you need to have a clear vision of what you want to accomplish and be able to communicate it effectively to the crew if you want to get what you are expecting. The crew was easy to talk to and gave me options as we went through the project. The end result was an extremely impressive home theater room.

He was very professional, honest, and finished the work very quickly. He did a great job with my bed frame and was honest in how he fixed it. He hung the window curtain rods and swag backs very quickly. He was great and even helped me put my box spring and mattress back on my bed which had been in another room. I would definitely use this company again. They did not charge for travel time either-even coming from Gallatin out to Belleve!

To me the price is extremely high. The advertised hourly rate is deceitful. I found that $45.00 per hour is $45.00 per person. They sent 3 people to do the small job.

The carpenter (who I think was Larry, but not 100% sorry bad with names!) was very friendly and knowledgeable. For example, he installed new weatherstrip on my front door and then it wouldn't lock - he determined it was because the builder had put the wrong plate for the deadbolt. So he spent about 20 minutes adjusting and making sure it all worked and fit correctly. He also fixed two closets doors for me, since my Angie's Deal was for 3 hrs of service and he had enough time. I can definitely tell a difference (no drafts) after the repair. He was professional and personable, and he made sure everything was cleaned up before he left. Side note -- The "deal" nature of this work was a little weird to me (had not done one before) -- you buy 3 hrs and it includes time and all "normal" materials...but when they came too look, they said mine needed more than normal...so that was an small additional expense and the carpenter's trip to Lowe's was part of the 3 hrs. I don't know enough about these things to know what's "normal" and what's not. My sense with G&B was that this was a legitimate and fair expense --- but the ambiguity of the "deal" made me a little uncomfortable upfront, if that make sense.

Workers arrived on time and immediately started on the project. They did a beautiful job installing the crown molding. I originally purchased a special for one room but was able to have additional installed at a fair price, thanks to Lamar. The men completed the job in a timely manner and made sure everything was clean before they left. The only thing that remained was my new beautiful crown molding. I was amazed at the difference it made in the rooms. I had a very positive experience with this project, starting with the excellent communication with Brooke. She quickly responded to all of my questions and worked hard to accommodate my schedule. This is my second experience with the company, and I highly recommend them.

We paid for four hours of work and they were here about four hours. But they charged us over $500. There just wasn't something right about all of that. I was very disappointed about that. The worker kept having to use our bathroom and kept coming into the house for that, but that's okay. The quality of work was great, but they way overcharged us.

They sent someone first to determine the extent of the work needed and he was able to get 2 guys to come complete the work the same day.

The gentlemen that came did a fine job....stayed with it until all was finished and the office called to ensure I was satisfied before they left...very impressive. I would definitely use them again and would highly recommend this company.

I love Arturo... He was fantastic. He was on time, he kept the area clean. He worked and focused on the job. He removed 2 eye-sores that needed to be repaired. Would highly recommend him again.

I am very happy. Owner quoted and inspected. When some touch up work needed to be done before final payment, owner inspected again and had it fixed right away. Workers for efficient, on time, respectful and polite. The cost was a little higher than some other providers, but it got done quickly and correctly. It's worth it for the customer service the owner provided.

The carpender was professional, on time and did an excellent job including cleanup! He completed the job within the amount of time allotted and I would definitely use this service again!

He just took $89.00 off the costs of the job. When I questioned him he said Angie’s List came up with that. So he just priced the job and took $89.00 off it. So he didn’t price it out so I saw where I got 2 hours for $89.00. It wasn’t like I got a deal, I just prepaid $89.00. There were some details that he didn’t pay attention to.

The estimator arrived on time and was very gthorough and courteous and willing to work with me on details to come into my budget. The workers arrived when they said theyw ould, did an extrememly profession job and were very nice. The room looks excellent. I am very happy with the work and believe the price was fair

Showed up on time, performed all work, cleaned up afterwards. Everything went great!

2 guys came for a 4 hours of carpentry for $199. It was really one carpenter and his helper. The coop door is attached again, but within a week one of the screws had already popped out and it's not a tight fit anymore. The gate stayed fixed until it rained and hasn't shut right since. I called and was told it was probably the wood swelling with the rain but it's been 3 weeks now and it still isn't working. I was told they could do another service call but I'll spend my money elsewhere and hope for better results.

The work was assessed at 9:00, started at 11:00 and was finished around 4:00 on the same day.

He looked at my deck, said there was no wood rot and that the railings would need to be replacec which he could not do.

Amazing job! 2 workmen showed up on time (!), removed their shoes before coming in (!) and went to work. They completed the job in 1 hour and the repair is seamless. There was no mess to clean up, the guys left the area spotless, impressive. I have already contacted the company for another repair project because of the way they handled the first job. I think I've found my "go to" house repair company!!

It went very well! I would recommend them highly. He did an excellent job!
