The workman did a good job and was very pleasant. It kept raining and he had to keep painting. At the end, we had too leave the windows open to the rain and the paint got a little messed up. Great thing is, he took away the rotted wood and replaced it with vinyl so it will never rot again! All in All a good job.

Excellent experience. Prompt, courteous, excellent work at a reasonable price. Would 100% use them again.

Unfortunately, not well. It took 2 calls and appointments to get the fence and gate repair completed and it still is not exactly as we talked about, originally. The worker was unprofessional and was fine leaving the job 'completed' (there were several fence slats that he did not replace and he did not sand at all, and the gate was not completed)- he needed my help holding pieces of the wood in place, when he left to get materials he stopped to have lunch as well, told strange jokes, asked to use the bathroom several times, and we needed to call the company again to have him return the next day to complete the job. The receptionist was wonderful but the person who initially reviewed our needs was somewhat unprofessional, talking about 'getting some' from his wife and quoted us to replace the hardware when we didn't need to do that and the worker who came out was subpar. I would not use this company again which is shame as they are local and have great prices and the front office person was lovely.

the workers were on time and let me know when to expect them. they estimated one day to complete and they did finish in one day. they covered and moved any furniture and also covered all of the floors where they were working. when they were finished they picked up everything and I could hardly tell they were there. this is the second time I have used this company and I would use them again as they do excellent work.

I have no issue with the drywall workmanship. The contractor worked hard and even showed up on Saturday and Sunday!!! The electrical sub-contractor missed two scheduled dates to show up, but finally did, and got all of the light fixtures installed. The electrician had to to return to diagnose and repair a faulty light switch that somehow wasn't found when he initially installed the lights. The Project Manager, Casey, took the word of a drywall person as to the reason for the electrical issue - he said it was a faulty fuse panel - until I insisted the electrician return to diagnose.

From the beginning G&B were professional and prompt with great communication. We always knew when they would be at our house and what would be the project of the day. We agreed about the quote and set up a time for the repairs. They were done by some of the hardest working and talented carpenters. Then they caulked and painted! Wow what a difference a professional job makes! The caulking made all the difference! My house is sealed up like a drum! It will keep out the weather and pesky pests! They replaced all of the rotting wood and it is seamless. Not one bump or blemish! So HAPPY! The gutters were done by Bobby's Gutters. Wow. Great work by great people. They were very efficient and our downspouts really do look good now! Bobby made sure they faced the right way to drain the water and not stick out like a sore thumb! My next projects will be done by these wonderful people! No worries, they work to please you and do the best that anyone could possibly do! I am a HUGE FAN OF G&B!!

Was not confident in their quality and completion of work, based on the lack of customer service and attitude from the Project Manager who came out to our house. He had a little bit of an attitude, and not one of those I felt really wanted to help us and give us what we need. When requested to schedule services, it was too far out and we expressed concern about getting it done sooner and asked them to work with us, and they only adjusted their schedule by one day and did not even acknowledge when we requested they call us back- Continued to contact via email. vs calling back as requested. Because of all of this, we were not confident that their work would be completed to the the level of quality or on time.

Lamar and his guys were awesome. All really professional. They were always on time. Seemed to really care about the quality of their work. Even came on short notice. I thought the price was very reasonable. I was very happy with the work. Great company.

First time with this company. I purchased a coupon deal that provided 2 hours of drywall and plaster repair. It was easy to schedule, worker was on time and courteous and best of all I went from having 6 holes in my walls to patched and totally sanded and finished walls done within the 2 hr. period. He even cleaned up any mess. I am using this company again for another carpentry job.

My issue was really not a big issue but I was expecting a bigger project with them. They put the drywall up but they didn't do any sanding. Other should make sure what all they are going to do. The mirror hanging worked out great.

I bought their special of $99 for 2 hours of labor. I was told the worker would work for 2 hours and then let me know that I would be charged more for additional hours. He never stopped and, in fact, came back on the second day with an additional person. They did an excellent job and I would have told him to keep going, so it wasn't a big issue. He replaced 30 boards and a hinge in 6 hours, so that seems like a fair amount of labor. Originally they charged me for 8 hours of labor, but the worker came to my house without the boards and then spent 2 hours going to Lowe's to buy them. I said I didn't think I should have to pay for the two hours as he should have brought the boards with him. They removed the charge for those two hours. I was a little uncomfortable that 3 times he knocked on the door and asked to use my bathroom. I've never had a worker do that. That's why I didn't give an A for professionalism. I didn't give an A in punctuality because he didn't come with the supplies to do the job. However, he seemed to be skilled at installing fencing, so I am happy with the end result. I did get a quote on power washing and staining the fence since the existing fence was stained, but probably won't use them as their quote was over $3,000.

Great responsiveness by the office, kept their commitments, reasonable price, great work - very happy with the results.

It went excellent. Very prompt, efficient, professional service. The worker cleaned up after himself very well.

G & B Carpentry did a great job. They came to do an assesment of the job first. Gave us two options on how to fix the door long term (replacements) and a less costly temporary fix we could do. Big fix was out of price range but did not pressure us. The temp fix was completed in under ten minutes and door closing problem is completely resolved. Very friendly as well.

Everything went as promised. From the estimate to the actual work done. Brooke in the office made sure I was informed even when the carpenter was stuck in traffic on his way to our home. All repairs were made and it looks great. I would recommend G & B to anyone. Nice to know they are there should I need them again.

EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE! I was contacted immediately after purchasing the AL deal to schedule a project manager to come out and review the work. The PM determined that the work could be done in the time allowed for the deal. I also had him give me a quote on some other work. I received the quote the following day. I ended up not doing the other work, but scheduled the door repair. The first time they had available was a couple of weeks out, but that was okay. I received a call 4 days before my appointment to say that some time had opened up that afternoon, if I was available. I was, and Larry showed up right on time. Larry was super friendly and eager to help. He evaluated the door for a few minutes and was able to fix it in record time. Now, here's the best part - since it took no time at all for the repair HE OFFERED TO FIX SOMETHING ELSE! I was blown away. Most people would have taken the money and ran. But, as a matter of fact, I had a storm door that had been giving me problems for years. I told him I didn't think to ask the project manager about it, but he said no problem since I paid for a block of time and I had plenty of time left. Larry proceeded to work on the storm door, and it turned out to be a little more tricky than he first envisioned. I felt guilty, but he didn't mind at all! He stuck to it, and got the door working, and closing, right for the first time in the 9 years we've been in this house! I couldn't be more pleased at the communication, the professionalism, and the work ethic. Fantastic job all around. Will definitely call again.

It went well. They did a good job on all tasks and the room looks great. Larry, the carpenter, is very knowledgeable and friendly. Brooke in the office is very nice and helpful. The price seemed a little high for the job but I Iiked the owner so much when he came to give the quote I didn't comparison shop.

.Bought deal through Angie's list on 3/2. Initial contact was quick but worked could not be completed until 3/28. They repaired drywall from where I had light fixture removed and two new ones installed over a kitchen island. They painted the kitchen ceiling. Also, repaired large hole in wall of remodeled bath along with several small repairs to bath (from removal of vanity and mirror). Painted bath. Work was great! Workers were friendly and cleaned up after themselves. Very pleased with the job they did just wish it wasn't so far out from when I had purchased. Now I know and would plan accordingly but would definitely use again for future projects!

We were preparing our home to be rented and had called several carpenters, flooring companies, plumbers, and painters to compare quotes. When the G&B guy showed up he was very professional, prompt, accommodating, and seemed trustworthy. Apparently those are qualities that his crew must have because every one he sent over to fix something had those same qualities. We thought we were calling someone to just work on some problems with the cabinets. But we mentioned a few of the other problems we needed addressed and they had someone on the crew to do 90% of our needs and were able to get started very quickly. They communicated well, showed up when they said they would, answered the phone when we called, called us to ask if we were happy after a repair was completed, gave accurate estimates on the schedule, and did it all with a smile on their face. All of this and they were also the lowest cost for most things individually, but the discount provided for them being our one stop shop made them the lowest cost option for everything. After the lease ends and we walk through the home they will be the first phone call we make to address everything. I wish every business was like these guys.

The job was very well done. The repair guys was a little talkative, but he did a great job. Would definitely hire G&B again.

I bought an interior trim painting deal for $199 for 5 hours. After being unable to schedule when convenient, it was scheduled on a Friday AM. They called that am to see if they could come at 1pm instead. I said ok. What I got was 1 worker who could barely speak English arrive an hour earlier at noon. He didn't know what he was painting, so after I explained it to him, he went outside and ate lunch on my front porch for an hour. Then he painted for 4 hours. I paid for 5 hours. At $45 an hour, I actually would have come out better if I hadn't bought the deal. I would not use again.

Job well done. Took about 3 hours.

Showed up on time and reviewed all work with PM prior to start. Crew was fast and professional. Work was very good.

The repair man arrived right on time, covered anything that might be hit by falling debris and quickly stripped the damaged areas. He patched then sanded and made the damage disappear. It was work done well and done quickly. He cleaned up everything before he left. I highly recommend G&B.
