Very well! We had Larry come out to the house. He was so nice, friendly with dogs and very open and communicative. He worked very hard and fast and I had time to get him to look at a couple other things before he left that I did not have planned. I will use again!

Great, crew is always friendly and always clean up after everyday. communication was always good. They are there when they say they are going to be there.

Work was completed professionally. G&B carpentry accomplished what other handyman services couldn't. What a waste of money with those other services. If realignment is what you need,go straight to G&B carpentry.

Took a bit longer than anticipated, but the crew worked diligently. They work well as a team and Arturo did a fine job with the finishing touches.

Lemar returned my call immediately on a Sunday afternoon and had a repairman at the house mid-morning on Monday. Extremely professional!! Have been using them for remodeling projects now for a couple of months. I highly recommend. Very trustworthy!

Larry was on time and friendly. We enjoyed conversation and he did a great job! I've hired them again to do more exterior wood repair.

After 5 times of rescheduling, I realize they are never going to come out. I have taken work off in preparation for them to come and they always make excuses not to come. They just haven't been thoughtful of time, and they overlooked my response when I originally purchased the deal.

It took longer than I thought it would , but, it didn't help that I kept changing my mind about things. It takes nerves of steel to face a remodeling job. Lamar, the owner, Brooke the secretary, and Casey, the foreman were so helpful in getting me through this. I finally relied on Casey's judgement in deciding the most effective and necessary projects of the job. Do not hesitate to use this company. If they told you something, they delivered. They never made any false promises. I found them to be a bit expensive, but, I have been through the using a carpenter who "a friend of a friend used and said was really cheap". G and B stand behind everything they do and their work is of a high quality. I recommend them whole heartily. I will definitely use them again. When you have G and B Carpentry work on your home you know you have just made a quality investment.

Extremely professional and very helpful in explaining what the problem was and the work needed to fix it. They are very friendly and will be my go to carpentry company from now on.

Ordered this for two separate jobs. The first order was just fine and I was very pleased however the second order was on a remodel and was just short of a disaster. There was no care taken when providing services and virtually every door/trim that was "worked" on now has to be spackled and/or repainted. Painter had already finished the house. Costly to be sure only due to lack of care taken.

After several cancelations we decided to find another company. They would cancel appointments and also move the times of existing appointments with little or no warning.

The carpenter, Larry, fixed the alignment on the front door and it closes with a touch and the lock works easily now. He realigned both sides of the french doors and they now close easily and stay closed. Larry was friendly and efficient and obviously knew his craft.

I received three estimates for the job: one for $250, one for $300 and one from G&B for $872.39. I paid $179 for his deal on Angie's List which still brought the job to almost $700! He is trying to pull the ultimate bait & switch and all Angie's List customers should beware!

I could not be happier with the work that was performed and my interactions with the company and work crew. The work started a week later than originally scheduled, but they contacted me several days before the original date to let me know. Once they started, the work was completed on time. We communicated primarily through email. Their office manager, Brooke, always responded to my questions within an hour or two. In my experience with contractors, this is rare. My job took about a week, and I received a call from Lamar (the project manager) near the end of the week to make sure I was satisfied with everything. The workers were all friendly and professional. I could hardly tell that they had been there at the end of each day after they finished -- they were very good about cleaning up after themselves. My only complaint would be that they are a little pricey. However, considering the positive experience I had, and the fact that they cover their work with a five year labor warranty, I feel satisfied with what I spent.

I feel the vendor deliberately prolonged the work effort to get paid more. I was invoiced for excessive work hours beyond the purchase amount with the cabinetry work being sub-par and cabinet painting not what was promised. Work effort took over 10 weeks. The staff performing the work was kind, professional, and timely. The quality of wall painting great. The quality of organizational leadership and supervisory team sub par. Scope of work assessed by vendor - agreed work could be completed based on scope/complexity. Timing was off by the vendor, Multiple reschedules. Crew unavailability. Reschedule by me due to work. Cabinetry work and painting was to be completed in one day. Only one cabinetry person showed. He took over 8 hours with a one hour lunch to complete the install of 7 doors, 9 drawer fronts and 2 "false door" fronts, along with hardware in the kitchen. Cabinetry was damaged as part of the process. Holes drilled where they were not needed. Staples punctured the drawer fronts. All requiring repair before painting could even start. The vendor took 10 hours from the services purchased and did not inform me until I asked. I pulled the scope of work of bathroom cabinets and hardware due to delay in work and quality of kitchen cabinetry work. I pulled the painting of 1 bath off due to the work delays. New crew leader came was placed on the job. He was not the individual who performed the original scope effort. Painting of baths was completed. It was determined door drawer fronts and doors needed to be spray painted. They were to be picked up the next week and removed from the cabinets. All work was to be completed prior to thanksgiving. Cabinet doors and drawer fronts were gone for two weeks for work. They were to be installed the week before thanksgiving but I was informed of a delay when I asked. The were to be installed 11/21 but only painters showed to paint the bases with an initial coat. One painter stayed on site and work complete in less than 2 hours. The doors and drawer fronts were delayed last minute. 11/23 they were to be installed. An over-sized crew (5) based on scope of works showed late on 11/23. The bases were not completely painted. 2 drawer fronts and 2 doors were painted the incorrect color. None of the items were spray painted they were all hand painted. The work was not complete prior to thanksgiving. The cabinetry had to be completed the Friday after thanksgiving 11/24 due to errors and delays. The crew (2) showed up without a paint additive on 11/25. One person left for well over an hour to get the additive. There are 2 home improvement stores less than 4 miles away. Again, I feel the vendor prolonged all of the work for increased payment and the quality of work was not what was promised. The secondary invoice was nearly $1,900.00. This is unreasonable. I feel what I experienced is not the quality of vendor of those represented by Angies List. The vendor is not BBB rated and I am left with sub-quality work for an extremely over-inflated price and am completely dissatisfied.

Well, overall I would definitely use them again and would highly recommend them. AND, this is why....the first time they came out the painter got stain all over the screen and ruined it. There were no excuses, no arguing and no negativity. In fact, they were eager to come back and completely repair the damage without my having to get upset with them at all. This type of project "ownership" and ethical standards are very hard to find in the construction industry. So I definitely appreciate them. Lamar is the owner and he takes this business seriously. BUT the best person they employ???? Well, it has to be Brooke! She is the "point" person and you know when speaking with her to set up appointments, etc. that she will do everything in her power to make it a good and positive experience....:) I definitely recommend them....

We ended up canceling the offer. The offer was confusing.

Didn't know this would be a 2 step process. Service provider tried to do all in one go and some areas were a bit sloppy. He agreed to come back to rework patched areas but never called back when I tried to take him up on that offer.

Great job and they went above and beyond in working around my busy work schedule. I will be using them again and I highly recommend them! Bill L.

Well his first words was Piece of Cake. And it was. Made short work out it and was done prefect.

They did a great job. Very efficient and at a fair price. I highly recommend them.

Lamar and Brooke were very timely and efficient in our communication and everything was done on schedule and as expected! Will be hiring again.

The carpentry was solid. The workers did not repair a small broken section of siding or caulk several joints. I sent photos to the job manager, who sent the workers back the following Monday. They completed the job in good order. There might have been some miscommunication between the two workers on the first day, leading to the incomplete repairs. I would probably hire G&B again, although if I hadn't checked the work, I wouldn't have known about the open joints and seams, all of which would have allowed rain water to penetrate the window frame and wall. The workers were punctual, polite, and understood the problems.
