My term for contractors who have no interest in the job, but wont tell you is: "drive by estimate". The guy pulls up looks it over and keeps on going. The overall body language the minute he walked in was seriously negative. Took measurements too quickly, and had nonsense answers to some questions. BUT, did the contractor have the nerve to just advise us he was not interested? No. So we wait for days and get no response back before we realize he did a 'drive by'.
