Repaired leaking roof and installed gutters. Saved meoney by repairing roof vent in lieu of replacing roof. Negative issues arose during gutter install...cut materials inside of my garage instead of in the yard leaving a mess with the saw dust that they didn't clean up and the next day I picked up no less than a dozen gutter screws from my driveway below from where they installed the new gutter. As with most LY based service providers, I had to call to remind them of the appointment later in the week. UPDATE: There were areas wherein I downgraded Whittemore's rating due to performance issues. On January 8, 2014, Tony at Whittemore called to apologize and advise he would have corrected these deficiencies on the spot had he been notified. While Neither Mr. Whittmore nor I can time travel to address these issues, the mere fact he called me with these concerns shows me two things: (1) Angie's List works as a mechanism for the consumer to address less than acceptable performance and (2) there are still service providers who are concerned about their reputations, will address these issues after the check is in the mail and Whittemore Roofing is one of these service providers! As the consumer, I have responsibility in ensuring the job is completed to my satisfaction at the time the work is being completed and not afterwards in Angie's List. I failed to do so. Taking the above in totality, I feel obligated to revise my previous ratings to an across the board and quot;Aand quot; in fairness to Whittemore Roofing.
