Description of Work: We purchased a storm door with a self-storing/hideaway screen in the top portion of the door. My husband decided it was too complicated for him and asked Paul Lovell (whom we have known for many years) to install it for us. On the day he FINALLY showed up to install it, it was late in the afternoon and he arrived with a "helper". He was in a VERY BIG HURRY and said they were tired from a previous job that day. When they were done, he was in an even bigger hurry to leave, telling me he'd get with my husband later on the amount owed. After he left, I went to look at the door and rearrange items nearby and noticed the door had been installed UPSIDE DOWN!! My husband called him that evening and he said "well, I didn't even read the directions" ...."I've installed thousands of doors and didn't need to".....with the holes drilled and the screen (more than likely) also drilled through, this door is now irreversibly damaged and unuseable. My husband waited almost two weeks for him to call us to offer resolution to this totally unacceptable installation. However, when he didn't call us, we called him last evening (5/15/13) and he told us there was no way he was going to buy us another door. All he was willing to do is to come and turn the door over (which will leave drilled holes in the side already installed) and that was that! My husband told him he didn't want to be forced into pursuing this legally and he advised him to "do whatever you have to do big boy!"....$300 may not be a lot to him, but to us it is and that is the reason we asked him to install it anyway. By the way, he told my husband he wasn't going to charge him for installation, however, that has never been the case with him in the past, we have always paid him for whatever work he did for us.

Description of Work: Paul Lovell replaced the roof on my home. They also replaced the sheeting.

Description of Work: Paul Lovell was hired to remodel my kitchen and do an addition.
