Staff at 'store' were helpful and friendly. Installers did not confirm start time for first day and came earlier and earlier each morning. They were friendly and professional.
Description of Work: We had all of the wood and linoleum flooring in the first floor of our house removed and replaced.

Ordered hardwood flooring through Lumber Liquidators at their Laverne store after meeting with one of their recommended installers at their store. After viewing their sample to match existing hardwood in other parts of the house it seemed the quality of the wood and color would be optimum. The hardwood was delivered to my father's house and upon closer inspection with the installers we found the quality of the wood was very poor. Very high number of knots and imperfections were on just about every board we inspected. Clearly this was not the select grade flooring they showed us in the show room. We could not accept the wood as delivered and Lumber Liquidators picked the wood up to return to their store. My father had paid for the wood and install in full. After repeated attempts we received a refund from their installers, but as of this writing my father has not received a refund from Lumber liquidators. In speaking with one of their customer service reps she was quick to point out that a restocking fee would be assessed and that if we had read the the fine print in the purchase order we would have known it would take several weeks to get a refund. We have since had a hardwood floor installed by RS Flooring and found the quality of the wood to be far superior to the Lumber Liquidators flooring and the cost was over $1000 cheaper than the what was paid to Lumber Liquidators and their installers.
Description of Work: Ordered hardwood flooring and scheduled for install through one of their recommended installers.

I called to discuss this wood with your sales rep in the corporate office via phone BEFORE I purchased this wood. I am well aware of what 'utilityand quot; grade lumber is and what that implies. We have rehabed houses before. We have a seasoned hardwood floor installer that installs utility grade wood frequently and knows how to work with this product. What I purchased, and what the blog and website describe, along with their sales rep described is a product with approxiamtely 20% waste factor with SOME short pieces mixed in. I agree that that description of utility grade wood and purchased additional wood. What we received (after two trips to your LaVergne store) was bundles of wood that were almost ALL 6-12 inches long. The few pieces that had any length to them at all were cracked, split and broken beyond being usable. What they sold me WAS TRASH. I called the LaVergne store and informed them that there was a huge problem with the item we received. I expected them to work with us to have utility grade wood sent to us and this and quot;mistakeand quot; corrected. What I received was a very rude and unhelpful response from the manager who even laughed as part of his response as he would say no refunds. He refused to offer ANY type of compensation, let me exchange the wood, or give me some additional wood to offset the extreme waste factor that was in the wood he sold us. I called the company multiple times trying to resolve this matter which was costing me a LOT of money! I told everyone I could speak with that I was in the middle of a rehab project that was already PAST DUE because the LaVergne store MISHANDLED this order and did NOT have the wood in stock after calling us for pick up. After a week delay, the LaVergne manager called in his usual rude manner and stated that if I wanted to pay to have the wood all loaded up and delivered back to him at my cost and then pay him additional money for a and quot;better grade woodand quot; that he would be willing to sell me a higher quality product. By that point, we had paid for a dumpster to be delivered to the home and the Lumber Liqudiator wood we purchased was in the dumpster, with the exception of about 30% poor quality but usuable wood that we had installed. They offered no compensation for my multiple trips, nothing to accomodate for me having to pay labor to load the wood and return it, nothing for the dumpster, nothing for the time delay in stopping a rehab project AND had the audacity to ask me to pay me additional money. We purchased new wood from a local competitor store that was also and quot;utility gradeand quot; but amazingly enough was usable. I wouldn't give Lumber Liquidators another DIME of my money. The wood was unusable, purchasing it cost me money in hiring someone to make multiple trips to their loctiaon to pick up the wood which was NOT ready for pick up despite their phone call to me, cost me money in delaying a rehab project, cost me money in having to have a dumpster brought to the home, AND cost me money by having to repurchase the wood AGAIN from another lumber store. I would never recommend Lumber Liquidators to anyone and strongly advise anyone even thinking about purchasing their hardwood flooring to RUN!
Description of Work: Sold "utility grade" hardwood floor through the corporate office to be picked up in the local LaVergne store that was nothing ore than trash or fire wood. The wood as not delivered by the date promised. When they finally called that it was ready for pickup, I hired someone to go pick up the wood. When they arrived at the store there was only a partial shipment there and they tried to say that the partial shipment was the full amount of wood ordered. We waited another week for the second portion to arrive. This caused us to miss out on having the flooring installed and had to reschedule with the installer three weeks later. The wood wasn't even usable when we finally were able to start installation.

The purchase process and ordering process was decent. We purchases maple flooring. Although the quality of the wood was fine, we were somewhat misled by the color of the flooring (this was the first time we purchased natural hardwood). The maple sample board in the store was of pretty consistent light coloring, but when we received the actual flooring, there were too many dark streaks in the flooring. We were hoping for a more consistent coloring throughout, but there was not much the installer or the store could do about it. The only issues we had were about the notification process of when product was received, etc. There were some parts of the original order that did not come at the same time, and we also ordered additional wood from the website to be delivered at a later date, and we had to call regularly to check whether product was in. We would not have received notification had we not called. Although we are now happy with the floor, the expectations early on were not exactly met, and left us a little wanting.
Description of Work: Purchased hardwood from their store. They recommended several contractors to do the work, but we did not use their contractor recommendations. However, we did use a contractor that had worked with the store previously.

Great experience. we new the material we needed called for an estimate, they provided the estimate and we went over to pick it up. Material requested was ready for pick up, no hassles, the order was correct.

We were very pleased overall. The flooring was actually on sale when we came in to buy it so it cost even less than we expected. They told us it would take a week or so to come in and it was in on time. I cannot comment about installation as they didn't install. We called them about an hour before our contractor was coming in and they had the flooring ready for pick up. The only slightly negative things are that I had to call them to ask if the floor had arrived, they didn't call me; and the place is really busy and if you get there during a busy time, be prepared to wait for quite a while before someone can help you. They give you all the time you need, it just may take time for them to get to you.
Description of Work: Purchased good quality laminate flooring. The sales person spent quite a bit of time with us, answered all our questions, and ordered the flooring for us. They did not have the flooring in stock but were able to order it quickly. We did not hire them to install the floor as we had a contractor doing several things for us, including installing the floor.
