The designer, Grant Smith, came to the house and we discussed the job. A week or so later he called and I went to his office to review his design; everything was set up with cost information so it was easy to change the design and see the cost difference. A very polite and professional crew showed up on time and with the right equipment. I wanted some changes to the work and they were happy to do it and still got the job done in two days. We are very pleased with their work and have had positive comments from the neighbors too. Happy to recommend them and would use them again.

My husband and I knew that this would be a major project and interviewed 3 companies. We were so impressed with Grant Smith and his design that we decided on Wildwood Land Design and we are so glad that we did! This was a 3 week project and picking the right company was very important. The crews that work for Wildwood are hard working and very good at their jobs. They clean up every day before leaving, work well together with no bickering, and were very proactive when running into problems. We ran into a couple of problems (main power line not being marked) during the excavating and Wildwood handled the issue and kept right on working. I was very impressed with the hands on approach of the owner Doug. He was here almost everyday and was not afraid to get his hands dirty! I would highly recommend Wildwood Land Design. They were fair in their prices and a great company to work with.

They arrived on time the next day after the estimate was givien and did all the work in one day. When I got home from work the job was all done perfectly.

Great from beginning to end. I called Grant's cell phone and asked for a scope change after business hours the day before work was to start. When the crew came the next morning they cam prepared to implement the change order as well as the original design. This group of people would be awfully hard to beat!

It went great...absolutely no complaints! They showed up when they said they would (Doug called first just to give us a heads up), and they did what they said they would do. The guys did a good job of cleaning up after themselves, and the plantings they put in look great. It's a huge improvement for our back yard.

It went great. Doug Lieb met with me to talk about what we needed to have done, wrote up a plan, and then came back to review it and show us some sample materials. He explained what they would be doing and described the techniques and materials that they would be using. The wall looks great and the pathway is excellent. The only hiccup came when they had a bunch of extra dirt left over. Rather than hauling it off they spread it over portions of the back yard in order to smooth out the yard a bit. And while the idea of doing that is helpful, the dirt they used had LOTS of rocks in it. Not little, gravel-sized rocks, but big-as-your-fist sized rocks. So I've got a lot of time ahead of me to pick rocks out of the yard to get grass to grow in it. But in the grand scheme of things, they did a great job and I plan to use them again.

The shrub trimming and mulching were excellent. The edging was satisfactory but not great. The weeding was not up to my standards.

Prior to contacting Wildwood Land Design I had removed a huge magnolia tree and a maple tree from my back lawn. These trees had huge root systems during their 20 year life that took over my back lawn (whereby I could not have grass). I needed a landscape architect to help me with a plan for my lawn. I inquired of the person who maintains my lawn the name of a landscape architect. He referred me to Grant Smith of Wildwood Land Design. Meeting Grant and doing business with him (and his company, Wildwood Land Design) was a very pleasant experience for me.

Grant, one of owners and the landscape designer, came to my home to review the scope of work and provide the subsequent estimate. He came at the appointed time and was very professional, providing suggestions on how to best layout the new rock beds, He also committed to having the installers wheel-barrow the rocks to the beds rather than using a Bobcat which could have damaged the existing lawn. He sent the estimate via email and offered to come to my home to answer any questions that I may have had. The estimate was very close to the other two estimates that I had received. I choose Wildwood because I knew the quality of their work after seeing other jobs that they had completed in my neighborhood and because of their competitive price, even though they were going to use the slower method of wheel-barrowing the rock into my rock beds. Wildwood had the rock delivered to my home the day prior to starting the job. Grant was there when the large truck arrived to insure that the rock was properly placed on my drive without causing any damage to my property. A large work crew arrived at my home the next day. The supervisor introduced himself and the other members of the crew, and then they promptly went to work. The crew worked all day removing the hedges and wheel borrowing the rocks into the marked beds, finishing late in the afternoon. However, before they left for the day, the crew cleaned up the yard and raked the grass to insure that it was not damaged by their moving the rocks across the yard. The crew arrived early the next day and completed the irrigation system work. All the crew members were very professional, hardworking, and friendly. I can definitely state that Wildwood completed the job to my total satisfaction, and I would definitely use them for any future landscaping jobs. Wildwood also quickly returned to my home after completing the job to adjust the height of some of the metal edging which was preventing rain runoff from properly draining into the lawn, further demonstrating their commitment to customer satisfaction.

I've used Wildwood a number of times. They're not the cheapest landscapers out there but they are reliable, professional and stand behind their work and whatever they plant. This year's job was tough because several of the shrubs I lost were large ruby pendulums around my pool area. Just getting the dead wood out was a major job. Between the pool area and my front landscape, they dug out and replaced approximately 15 shrubs in addition to pulling out a rose bush, jasmine vine and hummingbird bush, all killed by the winter freeze.

Bed Prep - completely removed all existing plants discussed and hauled away. All cleanup was included. Replaced sod on areas that was damaged. Gutter Drains - gutters were trenched underground. Boulders - one ton of accent boulders dug in and planted to give a more natural feel. Planting Beds - planted different varieties of hardy, low maintenance and drought resistant plants. All bed areas had a hand dug bed edge. Beds had a soil conditioner added before planting. Pre-emergent was put down to prevent existing weeds from germinating. All beds were mulched with brown hardwood mulch. River Rock - five inches of river rock was installed along the back patio to fence 2' wide with a landscape fabric underneath. Note: Also had front and back porch pavers sealed. They had installed these pavers approximately four years ago. Workers - Matt and crew did excellent work; were polite and very accommodating when asked questions; always cleaned up every evening before leaving.

The team came to the home as scheduled and completed the work in two days. At one point they labored away to uproot a tree in the path of the new wall and could not remove the root. Unfortunately, the stump had not been grinded completely when we had the tree removed a year ago. Doug called in a team to handle this and assumed full responsibility for resolving the issue. It was a very stress free process. We never saw the team nor any signs of their coming and going (no trash, or work debris). We would not hesitate to refer Doug. He has helped us appreciate the difference between a professional landscaper and a lawn maintenance company.

Wildwood's owner Doug was very professional. Wildwood designed and installed a new mulch bed that included trees and bushes. The job also included fixing a run-off area on our property line and then installing river rocks that gave a really nice touch. I will use Wildwood again and would highly recommend them for landscape design and installations.

Wildwood is very reliable and professional. We have used them at least four times. Each time they have done man excellent job. They have done great work and anytime there was a problem they fixed it. They have built two retaining walls with stairs and patio. They also built a firepit and landscaped our front yard. I am very picky and have been very satisfied with their work

I talked to them on the 13th and they came out on the 16th. Provided rough estimate and a few ideas of what he would do. I did not use him because another person I did end up going with provided a little more drawn out detail as to the work they would be doing.

I can't say enough good things about Bob Graves and his team at Wildwood. I saw their installation at West Town Mall and checked out their web site. At the time they had a quirky Q and A with their staff on the site and I liked their sense of humor. We hired them to build a large paver patio. We collaborated a lot during the design process and they were very open to my input. Any thought I had that I could have done it myself went out the window when I saw how painstaking they were in site prep and water management. The actually cutting and laying of the pavers was a breeze compared to the foundation work they did. We decided to splurge late in the project and add in automated lights built into the wall (a great decision). We were so pleased with their work, we had them back out to do two subsequent projects (paver borders in the front yard and a vegetable garden border in the back yard). I contacted Doug at Wildwood Land Design, who was very professional and prompted in answering questions both by phone and email. Three very professional men arrived on the day we discussed and took extra care not to get any of the black mulch on my driveway. They worked out the their truck with a tarp on the road in front of my house using wheelbarrows to transport the much to all the beds. They were very careful when putting the mulch by hand around bushes and flowers. I would highly recommend Wildwood Land Design for landscaping and mulching.

The landscaping plan developed was precisely what we had asked for, but moreover, incorporated suggestions based on the wealth of experience and knowledge of the architect. The work performed by the Wildwood crew was exceptional. They sent the right number of people based on the task(s) of the day and were very professional and hardworking. The crew foreman kept us appraised of the work status and what to expect during the next work day. Overall, a very satisfying experience. We will certainly call upon Wildwood for any future landscaping needs.

We used them twice and I would use them again in the future if needed.
