Description of Work: They are the only people we talked to from Angie's list that agreed to do our small job. They were always on time,very good at the job and cleaned up before they left. The price was reasonable and the job was completed on time. We would certainly use them again or recommend them to friends. use them again

Description of Work: The Premier Handyman added a skim coat to a portion of a smooth ceiling which I had hastily repaired after a leak. The space was a soffit adjacent to cabinets with three recessed lights, making it difficult for a novice to repair. | |Two handymen came by on time. One was very skilled with drywall work, the other was an assistant who mixed paste and assisted with sanding. | |The work completed looks very good, but not perfect. I would give it a 9 out of 10. The price I paid included an Angie's List coupon for 3 hours of repair for $99. | |They calculated the total time at 3 hours for two men which they would normally charge $270. | |I consider this a fair price for the quality of service provided, however it was a bit frustrating to pay for 45 minutes of time while they waited for the quick-drying compound to dry. It would have taken another 1.5 hours of their time to get it perfect. | |A+ for professionalism, communication and estimates provided for other future home repairs. I would recommend this company.

Description of Work: The original deal was for 6 hours of Handyman service for $219.00. I had a list of things that I wanted done which included some caulking in my master bath, painting an attic ventilation cover which was up high in the eaves in the front of my house, a standing water problem in my back screened in porch which was starting to cause mildew on the indoor/outdoor carpet and finally, fixing my front door which was sticking and leaking air and also a little water if heavy rain was blowing hard directly at the door or if a garden hose was used in washing the door. | Both of the handymen were very personable and friendly and seemed very knowledgeable and they did an excellent job on all of the first items on my list. They did have to borrow my extension ladder to get up to the vent cover because they did not have one on their truck. They got mine down and when they finished with it they replaced it back where I had it stored. This was not a problem as far as I was concerned except I don't know what they would have done had I not had one. They fixed the drainage problem in the corner of my screened in back porch which was being caused by a low spot in the concrete slab on the porch by pulling back the corner of the carpet and drilling a couple of drain holes through the concrete slab and then replacing the carpet. | The only problem (which turned out to be a major problem) was with the seemingly easy job of fixing my sticking and leaking front door. In order to take care of the problem they had to remove some of the molding around the top of the door. When they got that off it was discovered that I had some termite damage above the door which not only involved the top sill of the door but extended a couple of feet up the plywood of the exterior wall of the house which would have to be replaced. The problem with that was that my home has a stucco exterior and to get to the plywood they needed to remove the stucco panel which sat directly above the door. I asked them if that job would be too much for them but they assured me they could handle it but of course it would be beyond the scope of the original Angie's List deal which I completely understood. They said it would take at least another day to complete the job and gave me a quote of just over $900 to do the repairs. We saw no active termites and no evidence of any other damage but I contacted an exterminator and he arranged to come out when the handymen had removed the panel from the top frame of the door and spray the area and check for any further infestation which he did. When he came he found no termites and no further damage or infestation anywhere else and he sprayed the area thoroughly. | |When the handymen originally found the damage they were thinking that the whole front door would have to be replaced but I took some pictures of the damage and went to Lowe's where the door had been purchased only a couple of years earlier and was told that the top sill or jamb of the door could be replaced since that was the only part of the door that was really damaged. The door itself and the side frames were fine so I purchased the parts needed and took them back to the handymen who by this time had the door removed and they were able to replace the damaged part. The problem came after they got the door and the damaged plywood replaced. They ran into some kind of problem when trying to replace the top stucco panel. With the new plywood installed for some reason the stucco panel would not fit back in place exactly right so they needed to call a stucco contractor out to show them how to fit it back into place. They called All American Plastering who came out very quickly to look it over and showed them what needed to be done. His charge was an additional $150 which I'm not sure exactly why but I ended up having to pay that myself in addition to the bill from Premier Handymen which was $910.73. | Sometime after they had finished and cleaned up the area and left, I went outside and was looking at the finished job again. I happened to notice that the stucco panel was not sitting on top of the vertical panels along side of the door in the same manner as it was before. It looked okay from the ground but when I got out a stepladder and got up above the top of the door I could see that they had not sealed the top of the two vertical panels where the top stucco panel had been previously resting and the inside foam of the vertical panels was left completely exposed to the elements and if it rained, water could and would go directly down inside the two side panels. Fortunately the stucco guy from All American Plastering had left me his card so I called him and he agreed to come right back. When he did he said yes indeed that would have been a major problem when it rained. He fortunately had some stucco of the correct color with him and he repaired both panels which took him only about a half hour and he did not charge me any extra. | Even after the problems they caused themselves and left me with, I think I would still use them again, because as I said before they were both very hard working and quite good at the minor problems. If not for the problem with the stucco I would have given them a straight A rating. However for anything really major or anything stucco related I would recommend hiring a specialist.

Description of Work: Used Angie's List coupon to have some damaged places repaired in bedroom sheetrock. They did a nice job and were very professional. When we had questions later about some places that didn't look right, Corey came over in a few days and smoothed it right up. We appreciated his attention to customer satisfaction!

Description of Work: Removed remnants of old linoleum tile in hallway and bathroom. Removed old fixtures from bathroom, repaired walls and floor, installed new floor vinyl in bathroom and hallway. Installed shower board on walls. Installed new fixtures. Installed two door knobs and locks. Mike and Josh were hard workers, spending about 35 hours each on this project, including one night until at least 8 PM. The lady for whom this work was done is quite well pleased with the results.
