The Premier Handyman

I have used Corey on 3 occasions over the last 4 months. In each case, he was professional and completed the job just as he promised. Price and craftsmanship are very, very good. I would not hesitate to use him again.

Corey came right out and gave me a quote within a few days of my phone call. He told me how he was going to fix the porch and gave me a few options to pick from. He was not the cheapest quote, but he was also not the most expensive. He and Charlie figured out the best approach to the problem and gave me an outstanding deck that was larger than the original porch, but still retained the original feel of the house. They used quality materials and quality workmanship. I had to work while they were building the deck, so they would keep me updated as to the progress with pictures and texts. They finished it in less than a week and it is very sturdy and handsome. I would and will definitely use Corey again. He is going to be my go to handyman in the future.

Corey answered his phone right away and set a time to come out and give me a quote on the work I needed. He showed up when he said he would and his quote was fare. The work was scheduled in a reasonable amount of time. He and his helper arrived at the time scheduled for the work. Corey stayed later than expected to make sure the job was completed correctly and came back out one evening to remove the frame. I would definately use Corey for other projects.

These gentlemen were awesome. They showed up on time and worked longer than they estimated for, but did not change the price. The repair was perfect and required no touchup or additional sanding before it was painted. They cleaned up and left the area cleaner then when they started. I will definitely use them again. The only complaint is because they are so good, they remain booked and have to schedule the work 2 months in advance.

We don't have a big house, but this was a big job! Bottom line is that Corey and his team (Charlie was the only other person at our house throughout the entire project, but Corey brought two other guys for a couple of days during the first week of work) are great to work with. And they do great work. It turned out that hanging the new room doors in our 1970's-built house was quite the challenge. Corey and Charlie worked together on most doors for several hours each. They didn't stop until they got them exactly right. And I mean EXACTLY right - all open and close easily and smoothly. I'd be willing to guess that there aren't many teams out there that would have been as persistent as they were. The closet doors (at least some of them) presented some challenges as well. And again, the finished product is done well. The baseboard and trim looks great. Corey missed a bit when estimating how long our job would take, so we ended up paying more than the original estimate. I was OK with this for a couple of reasons: i) I was home the entire time they were working, and I know they worked hard, very hard each day; and ii) the high quality of the finished product was worth the extra cost. We have already scheduled Corey for another small job and will definitely contact him when we get ready to tackle a couple of other bigger jobs on our list. He is booking several months out, I think. But if you aren't in a big hurry and can work with his schedule, think about doing that. You'll definitely be happy with his work.

Corey and Charlie showed up ready to go. They were very professional, attentive and quick. I had to have a free floating wall removed and a table that was a trip hazard fixed. They worked with such ease, I was able to keep my store open for most of the time frame and then re open quickly after they were done. They were able to carefully dismantle this wall and save it for future use. We have some additional projects and we can't wait to have them work with us again! F

There was a broken pipe. He fixed the broken pipe and also put in an exhaust fan. It took him about 12 hours to do it. There were two people working on it. They had to run electrical and had to repair the pipe and put a hole in the exterior wall for the vent. So they got quite a bit done. We already had the supplies purchased. They did have to go out for a couple of things we didn't know we needed. The area looked real good. They did a good job of cleaning up. We couldn't have asked for better. They vacuumed real well. We had covered the areas around there so that it didn't go anywhere because when they put up the new drywall they had to sand and everything. So we did that. But they mopped the floors. We were pleased. They responded right away. But they couldn't do the work for about two months. But that's because they do a lot of work for people, I guess. He told us right upfront that it was going to be that far out. We could have said, "No. We'll get somebody else." They were here exactly when they said they would be. We had a stopped up downspout. He just unplugged a downspout that was backed up. He just did it for free. He took care of it while he was down here giving us the quote on the bathroom. It was nice.

It went very well. All was done smoothly. Look up to "what did provider do" for the list of what they did. This is my 3rd time using their expertise. Really good, knowledgeable, innovative, nice....I will be using their services again soon. There is only positive things to say about them. Don't go with anyone else. This job went better than our original expectations. The job was done efficiently and right. I was asked specifically how I wanted the tile laid so they could be sure I was happy. I could not have been happier. We will definitely use Premier for other jobs in the future.

I had hired a construction company through friends to repair my deck, but it turned out that the company I had hired didn't really know what they were doing. So I hired Premier Handyman to fix all of their mistakes--there were many, and they were serious. Premier Handyman figured out how to salvage a major part of the deck that had been badly out of square. They reconstructed and rejoined all of the deck handrails so that they looked wonderful. Premier Handyman did a huge amount of work in just a few days and they did it well. Thanks to them, I have a safe, sturdy, beautiful new deck.

Corey and his crew have helped us with many jobs around the house before and have always done a great job. Corey and his crew are happy to do jobs that other companies have not done because Corey and crew are willing to do the dirty jobs. This time they worked for us at short notice for an hour of small jobs! Thanks for the help.

The Best ! Highly Recommend ! The owner, Corey Monarch, is knowledgeable about all aspects of home repair and maintenance. As a property manager in Knoxville TN I have used his services numerous times with excellent results. He is quick to respond to my calls, discusses the issues, gives accurate estimates of time and costs. Corey's crew members are skillful, show up on time, reliable, provide good communication throughout the project, and in most cases finished the work in less time than projected. Absolutely outstanding. The pipe was replaced by another plumber following a drain line collapse under the concrete slab, and the only way of routing it had the pipe exposed on a section of the wall near a basement den. It was not a pretty sight. Corey and his associate carefully evaluated the different options to "disguise" the pipe and selected the option that not only looked the best but also ensured no unnecessary obstruction of space. He maintained excellent follow-up between the time I scheduled the service call and the date of the service call (which were about 3 weeks apart), and he received rave reviews from my tenant. He is going back in a few weeks to complete some additional work that he didn't have time to complete on the first service visit, and I know he'll do the same great job on that. He will now be my #1 go-to handyman for any and all maintenance or repair issues I have at this home (rental house that I own). What a relief to FINALLY find a handyman who knows what he's doing, keeps his commitments, and exceeds all my expectations.

Corey THE PREMIER HANDYMAN is WONDERFUL! Unlike so many other service providers I've contacted in the past, he was punctual (early even), worked quickly and efficiently, was clear in what I wanted and what he would be doing. Because this job had to be done when the weather was warm enough and no rain predicated for two days it took a while for us to get together. He always kept in contact with me - I never had to call him. All service providers should be as professional as Corey is. I want to stress that he returns calls promptly and keeps in contact. This is very important to me as so many others don't call you back or wait days to do so. He shows up when he is supposed to with no worry that he won't. I didn't even have to call him to confirm. They did a good job. It was fine and I was happy with it. I am always happy with their service that is why I keep calling them. The employees were fine- no problems. It was satisfactory. Their price is very competitive- they are not the cheapest in town but do good work.

The guys were very professional, experienced, and knowledgeable! Everything went very smoothly and some of the doors were fixed in no time. They listened to what I wanted and did exactly as I envisioned! They worked very efficiently and didn't waste any time, and when they were done, they gave me a fair and honest deal! Very nice !

They were able to design safe steps. Previous steps were a safety hazard. Excellent job. I am so glad we used Premier Handyman for this job.

Cory came out today(Saturday) to finish fixing the shed. New trusses had to be put in as the limb had destroyed the top of the shed along with the roofing punching holes in it and caving in the top. Although misting rain, they fixed the trusses, put tar paper on and added a new roof. It looked superb. They even hauled off some old things taken out of the shed I didn't need along with all the debris. It just doesn't get any better than Premier Handyman. Always excellent, professional work you can count on to look it's best and no recalls necessary. Cory comes out when needed, does an excellent job and always professional and courteous. I wouldn't' consider anyone else to help in time of need/desire when things go awry other than Premier Handyman-simply the best there is.

Corey and his team were very professional, efficient and on time. Corey was organized and communicated to me very well every day about the project. He finished a day early and came in under budget. I have never had that happen to me before. And he even fixed a double patio door that another contractor sloppily installed. I did not expect him to fix it, but he happily corrected the door for me at no extra charge! I have used this company a few times since moving back to Knoxville last spring. Every time I have scheduled them for something they have responded promptly and been on time for appointments. Corey came by last week to fix a problem i had with a floor drain in my laundry room that caused some water to leak downstairs. Corey moved the washer and after offering to go get a new drainpan and supplies to correct a issue the builder of the home should have done when it was built, ended up fixing everything without having to go to the hardware store to purchase anything. The drainpan was sealed and the floor drain was corrected to stop any further water issues from the washer. We will be calling Corey back when we purchase a new washer and dryer to put the drain trap in as it should have been by the builder. I will also be scheduling them to install a new sink for me in the near future.
