The overall experience with Cotese was good. They did the work professionally and I am pleased with the overall experience.

They came out and actually saved the tree. They were great.

Things went just as expected. The job was completed when they said it would be and completely cleaned up by them.

Our neighbor's tree had fallen in the yard and we had Cortese pick it up.

Cortese is a well known name in tree service in the area. I looked at others in the yellow pages and all the others seemed to just be involved in cutting down trees rather than trying to save them. David Dunn, an arborist from Cortese, evaluated two trees that were in distress - a willow and a Virginia pine. He indicated that both suffered from types of fungus. He said that the pine could not be treated or saved but that the willow could be treated and potentially healed. He gave estimates to treat the willow and trim its dead branches, to remove the diseased pine, and to remove another healthy tree that has grown too large and too close to the house. Due to the cost of dealing with all three, I decided to just handle the willow at this time. It was worth it to spend the money to try to save this tree as it is prominent in my front yard. The crew arrived on time and were courteous and careful with the trimming. They did a good job and cleaned up well. The injections were performed by a separate individual. We'll just have to wait and see if this does the trick.

They did a good job and my trees are looking good now. I would recommend them highly; I have in fact recommended them to several people.

Very quick to respond and provide an estimate for a non-emergency trimming of an oak tree. Crew showed up on time and were very careful to not damage our yard. Clean-up after the tree trimming was very good. Price may be a little on the high side, but I would recommend them.

He didn't charge me anything. He was extremely knowledgeable about trees. He gave recommendations but wasn't pushy. I have been to home shows and seen arborists, but he seemed more knowledgeable. I was very happy with them.

Mr. Dunn came on time. After showing him the work scope, he asked me to leave him some time, he would ring my door bell when he finished. When he showed up my front door again, he give me a report with work to be done and a price, a ridiculous price. His price is 4 times as much as the other two quotes I got.

I felt that their price was reasonable. They trimmed the limbs and carried everything away and cleaned up everything. The clean up was excellent and they didn't leave any limbs behind or anything. I didn't have any problems with it. They were very nice and very professional when they came out to do the estimate, and we didn't have to wait very long for them to do the job. They were timely and real efficient.

They are the best tree people I have ever run into. Overall, they are excellent. I did not do any price shopping, but as far as I know, their price was all right. I would use them again in the future if necessary.

They were supposed to do it in December 2010 but they did not get it done until summer time. Price wise it was not cheap but I was willing to pay that. I will use them again.

They were the only ones I could find that specialized in the preservation of trees. I was caught off guard by how much it cost and I originally contacted them in May and they did not show up until August with no explanation. But I was pleased to get the trees taken care of by professionals. I will not use them again in the future.

Overall, my experience with them was excellent, and I was happy with their service. They did what they said they would do for the price they quoted. They did the work well without damaging anything. Their price was good. I would use them again in the future if necessary.

The gentleman that first came out to work with me was very polite and very knowledgeable. He listened, which with me is sometimes rather interesting. I didn't feel like someone was looking at me as if I didn't know what I was talking about. He talked to me like I was an equal in the tree business. He was very friendly. I got these trees about 10 years ago and he has not always been the one to come out and literally work on them but he is the one that comes out and looks over them with me and makes decisions on what needs to be done. The crew that comes out basically knows what they are doing and they get the work done and clean it up and take off with it. I have not compared prices.

They were very thorough with their work. I liked that they showed up when they said they would. I would use them again in the future; in fact, I am going to call them in the next couple of weeks.

Cortese gives you a solution to your problem and helps you remedy it.

They came out and gave us an estimate but their price was exsorbident. Although they are well respected here and they do marvelous work. I am sure they are very skilled and they had wonderful equipment. They are professional and everything about them was first class and I feel confident they would have done a wonderful job but the price was just way over the top. The gentlemen flagged every tree that needs to be worked on with an orange swatch of paint and that even helped the next people who came.

It took a little while for them to come out, but it was around the holidays so we understood. Removed the stumps. Advised of new trees that we could plant in their place. An arborist came out and didn?t charge us for the consultation. No pushy sales, just a great experience overall! I would definitely recommend them.

They provided a quote for removing a tree in my front yard. They came out promptly and were completely professional! However, their quote was extremely high--$1600 for a small pine. I had it taken down by another service that did a fabulous job, were equally prompt, and charged $400. In general, you should get multiple quotes for tree removal.

The arborist came out and did an estimate. A week or so later, the 3-man crew came out and performed the service. I received a bill in the mail and paid the next day. My only regret is not negotiating a better price. I feel a bit taken to be honest. If i'd realized it was just 4 hrs work, I would have negotiated a lot more forcefully.

It went very well overall. Estimator came out when he said... gave us quote. Call back that afternoon to arrange time. They did not come on day we scheduled but called to explain...we had snow and they must do emergency work first. Called to reschedule. Came on that day at correct time. Got right to it....trimming and climbing. Ask our opinion of each tree and what we wanted done. Did great job. Trees are happy now. They will grow better. Cleaned up the branches and chewed them up. We asked them to leave mulch and they did. Everyone concerned pleased with the job. I admit that I already knew they were good and experts, but delighted with their work and professionalism. Recommend them highly.

Due to the high priority a crew came out two days later on 11/25/09 and completed the removal. One of the crew asked me to review the work after completion. A few days later the company representative called to see if the work had been completed satisfactorily. I told him it had. He said he wanted to check before authorizing the bill to be sent. The bill was the same amount as the estimate. The company representative and the members of the crew were courteous. I would use the company again.
