Tennessee Standard Plumbing

Tn standard sold us a hot water heater and handled the installation for us earlier this year. At the time we were impressed with the company they were very courteous and have a good communication system. Recently we realized that the drain pipe from the pressure relief valve ran down the back of the tank against the wall and onto the floor. When released this caused several gallons of water to flood the floor and wall. We were very surprised that they would have installed the tank in this manner. Our previous tank released from the side. We called TS and asked them to move that pipe to the side of the tank where it would be accessible so any water could be released into a bucket. They informed us that they run the pipe to the back because it looks better and they don’t expect the homeowner to use the valve even though the manual says you should do this annually to test the system. It was a horrible experience to be told the whole issue was our problem and they were unwilling to fix it without charging us for it, because we didn’t tell them to install differently. We still don’t understand why they would do it that way as even a plumber would not be able to work with that setup.

Very knowable & professional service from Austin & Nicholas. Service was done the day I contacted them. They did a great job. Very expensive and premium parts. I would have preferred less and/or standard parts and less expense since my house is older, simple and of my finances. They were my 2nd bid & both were close in price. Inflation is real.

Outstanding service from scheduler Bobby to the super professional Austin and his crew. On time and super clean jobsite. A tad $$ but you will not be sorry. I can highly recommend TN Standard.

The owner (Kelton Balka) came with his appentice (both were very clean and used shoe protectors for my floors). It only took them about 10 minutes to figure out the problem and give me two recommendations. He recommended the cheaper one first and if that didn't work he said he'd be willing to try the more expensive solution. Fortunately the first solution worked. They were in and out in under an hour. They even gave me a discount for being a veteran. I would definitely hire them again.
