They came out promptly, and they gave me an estimate which was more than reasonable. They came out and performed the repair. The whole experience took only a matter of days.

 + -1 moreI was fortunate enough to see Richard Cook's truck as I was driving down Northshore Drive. Called the number on the truck and made contact. How serendipitous for me. Richard went to both my home and business, assessed the situation, discussed his findings in great detail, gave an itemized cost estimate, told me when he could start the work, when he estimated finishing each project...and then he followed through with everything as promised. Not only did he do all this, but he was also just very NICE! Wow, he knows what he's doing, does a great job, and is an all-around nice guy. I wholeheartedly recommend Tennessee Building & Moisture Analysts.

Description of Work: They came out and inspected my stucco and showed me where there was moisture intrusion and damage. They gave me an estimate of what it would cost to repair the damage. This included replacing windows because there was moisture entering the walls through the wood frames of the windows. The estimate is what I ultimately ended up paying so there were no surprises. Richard, the owner, explained the problems and solutions very well and was very patient with my many questions. He also made a recommendation of what we should repair now and what could possibly wait a couple of years since the cost was high due to the many repairs needed. We chose to take care of the whole front of the house which is where the more serious damage was located and do the back of the house at a later date. Richard let me know when they were thinking of starting and called me a day before starting again. He showed up with Gianncarlo, his son-in-law, and the crew and introduced them. Gianncarlo and his crew started the work immediately and were punctual every day and worked hard the whole time they were here. They let me see and showed me the damage as they went and also showed me how they were fixing it. They would clean everything up at the end of the work day every day. They repaired the foam and wood under the stucco in damaged areas, re-stuccoed those areas, replaced all the windows in the front of the house, fixed some holes in the chimney and put on a new chimney cap, painted the house shutters to match the new front door, and caulked everything on the outside to prevent further moisture intrusion. Though the price was a little high it was well worth the expense because they took the time to explain my every question and they took care of everything. I could see the work they were doing and I feel confident it will last for a long, long time saving us money in the long run. They even took care of looking through my paint to find what they needed to patch around the replaced windows! Gianncarlo was very respectful, nice and easy to work with. I highly recommend TNBMA!!

 + 0 moreWe cannot say enough good things about Richard and his crew. We noticed a problem with our stucco and called Richard to inspect and provide an estimate for the repair of any damaged areas. He did a thorough inspection, provided a detailed written report, and gave us a reasonable quote. Once we decided to use TN Bldg and Moisture Analyst they provided us with a start date. When the work was underway, they were prompt, respectful of our needs, cleaned up any mess made during the process, etc. Since the stucco had not been painted since 2002, we were concerned about the colors matching. That should not have been a concern. Richard expected nothing less than perfection. Also, Richard's son, Daniel, completed all caulking and it was perfect as well. We later hired Daniel to caulk some other areas on our property and it was also excellent. We will contract with this company to provide periodic inspections of our stucco in the future. We highly recommend TN Building and Moisture Analysts and will use them in the future!!

 + 1 moreThe old deck was rotting and horrible. The foundation was all right but new supports had to be added for the TREX. They also extended the deck by 6 feet to the edge of my house, replaced an existing window with a glass door, and added to a small area at the head of the stairs to the lower level. They also completely rebuilt the stairs and railing. The new deck is absolutely beautiful! The old lattice railing completely obscured the view of the river; the new steel cable railing is almost invisible and makes the deck seem twice as big! The installation of the door is excellent; they painted the walls around it. I believe they also did a fair amount of stucco work, which is an ongoing process at my house. As always, I know they do the most professional stucco work in the area. I have worked with Tennessee Building and Moisture Analysts for some time now and trust them completely. I know Richard gives me the fairest price he can. All the guys who work for him are really nice and I will actually miss having them in my home! They are attentive to every little detail and careful to clean up everything! I cannot recommend this firm highly enough!

 + 0 moreI contacted Richard when I was considering purchasing a house with an artificial stucco exterior that had little to no care for it over the years. The report was thorough and completed in a timely manner, and Richard was able to give his best guess as to the extent of the repairs and work that would need to be done before purchasing the house. It turns out his estimate was accurate! In addition, Richard and his team provided many details about how the repairs would proceed, techniques they would be using so that trouble would not happen again, and about choosing colors. Richard's team started work on the day that was scheduled and worked nearly every day for about a month repairing damage to the exterior, putting a fresh coat of stucco along the exterior, and replacing seven windows. His crew were friendly and professional, and by the time the job was done I knew I was going to miss seeing them around! I could not be happier with the work. The company has taken a sad disintegrating exterior and changed to one that grabs attention and inspires awe to people who pass by. Over the course of the house's renovation I had no fewer than 10 different companies working on other projects inside and outside, and TNBMA was my favorite and the one in which I have the most confidence. The work was of course very expensive, but this is not something you try to skimp on. I get the feeling that Richard is well-above the curve when it comes to techniques to make your home beautiful and trouble-free, so I give him the highest recommendation.
