Response from Summit Painting and Remodeling LLC
Everything described is true, except for the part that says I did not respond to his text. He texted on a Sunday describing his situation with relatives coming in town for his child's graduation. He asked me to call him. I called the next day leaving him a voicemail clearly explaining when we could do the work, accommodating his situation. I asked him to let me know if the schedule I described would work for him. He finally emailed me a week later saying he was using a different company because I never responded to his text. I then emailed him letting him know that I had in fact called him, the very next day after he asked me to. I apologized even though I had done what he asked. I wished him luck with the project and his child's upcoming graduation. Maybe I should have responded via text message instead of calling and the breakdown in communication would have been avoided, but he specifically asked me to call in his text message, which I did, the next day. Unfortunately, for whatever reason, he did not receive the voicemail. He assumed I hadn't responded and made other arrangements without checking back with me, which I believe is unfair and unreasonable. Every other part of what he describes is in line with all other reviews on Angies List, which I believe attests to the inaccuracy of his review.
