Southern Grounds Lawn Care

Work was okay, but never sure when they'd show up (days changed). Additionally, they left my gate open multiple times after being told to close it, which ended up with my dog escaping and being hit by a car. They recently tried to collect payment for services that I had not approved 2.5 years after the fact. We were able to work it out, but it was an unnecessary stress and hassle to deal with.

This company bought out my previous lawn care provider. They then did not show up to mow the lawn for several weeks. I called the numbers of the previous provider and of the Southern Grounds and left voice mail messages telling them that I was replacing them since they had not showed up. Despite their recording's assurance that they woulds call back within 24 hours, I never heard from them. I hired another company, and the new supplier had mowed the law several times when a crew from Southern Grounds showed up and began mowing my lawn. I stopped them and, after checking with their office by phone they left. Eventually Southern Grounds sent me a bill for the crew's visit. Figuring that $50 was a small price to pay to be finished dealing with the monumentally unresponsive company, I paid it. Fortunately I have not heard from them again.

I have southern grounds mow my lawn weekly, they came around my neighborhood with a deal if a certain number of people signed up so they mow them all at the same time. It's a great price although they increased it significantly from the year prior. While its never fun to pay more for the same service it's still a much better deal than I have seen elsewhere. That said, I wish they would take a little better care of my lawn. They always mow in the same pattern, turning in the same spots and have put in bare-spots on the lawn and also they mow when it is really too wet out to be good for the lawn. I know it's a challenge, especially in east tennessee, to find enough time to mow lawns in between rains - my brother had lawn mowing business and I remember those challenges well but these guys I think could benefit from giving a bit more care to the lawns. I am debating about using their services again next year because while cheap my grass is suffering. I went back and forth on an A or a B rating but decided since I had not brought up this issue to them it's not really fair to penalize them for it in a rating. They do bill monthly which is nice, so I don't have to be home and they have been good about showing up every week, sometimes it's a few days off the regular scheduled day but I don't think they have ever forgotten it and it's never gotten so over-grown that I felt I needed to call them on that account.

Southern Grounds cleaned up my overgrown front yard; this involved the removal of out-of-control shrubs. The company also replanted the area with low-maintenance plants. Southern Grounds also mows my lawn and trims overgrowth when necessary. Service was and continues to be excellent.

The initial work of cleaning out the overgrown bed was completed in just a few hours. The crew returned on another day to remove any regrowth and mulch the bed. The work was completed and cleaned up neatly and thoroughly. Southern Grounds' mowing crew does a very good job of mowing and trimming my lawn biweekly. A big convenience is that I do not need to be at home when they are here since the S. G. office bills for services monthly.
