David (the owner) came out promptly for a look-see and estmate. An opening came up in their calendar, was offered to me, and work was completed a couple of weeks before original scheduled. Crew showed up at the appointed time, assessed the situation, formulated a plan and went at it. They were gone by the time I got back home in a few hours. The only sign they were there were the holes drilled in the concrete. The holes were patched in such a way that they are barely perceptible!!! Cost was as-estimated. No drama whatsoever. I would highly reccomend this company.
Description of Work: Project was re-establishing original level of patio slab that had settled several inches on two sides.

This procedure was done quickly, professionally and it looks great. We will probably need them again for other problem areas, and we won't hesitate to call them.
Description of Work: The sidewalk below our front porch had sunken whereas it was a problem for anyone walking up to our home. We called slabjackers and were immediately visited for an estimate and date to repair. All was done on time, satisfactorily, and with two workmen who were courteous and knowledgeable about this situation.

Professional service at a reasonable price. Came out and provied an estimate/price. Came when they said they would. Very pleased with the result.
Description of Work: Concrete slab porch setting on brick foundation had begun to sag and crack. I suspect the fill dirt inside the brick foundation had settled. By drilling some holes in the deck and injecting "mud," the porch was raised to its original height.

I saw the name Slab Jackers and the description in the Angie's list booklet several years ago. It sounded like exactly what I needed to have done. After the expensive and ineffective work previously done, I was reluctant to spend more with no guarantee of success, so waited until the situation was much worse. Since I began to fear that the whole porch would collapse, I called Slab Jackers for an estimate. I was impressed with David Cox as much by the fact that he did not make extravagant claims about what they could do as by his prompt arrival. I have already described the actual repair work. It was that simple. However, as I had been told, the concrete slab underlying the stone was barely supported at this point. Shortly after the repair began there was a great thump! The concrete slab had fallen into the empty space below the porch! The process of lifting the porch was promptly amended to include providing support at 3 places rather than only 1, to avoid the risk of cracking the stone floor. There is no claim that future drought or water issues may not present problems in future and that is a risk that I understand and accept. The work that was done was excellent.
Description of Work: Stone porch sinking at side nearest house, continued to sink after very expensive drainage project that had NO EFFECT on sinking of porch. Slab Jackers neatly lifted the porch back into level by injecting concrete mixture through discreet holes drilled in mortar between stones. Their equipment was obviously well maintained, which is one way of showing competence by professionals. Arrived just before 9 a.m., job complete by 11:30. No mess whatsoever, no trampling plants! Additionally, the estimator called 2 days after visit to let me know that there was a cancellation and I could have the work done immediately rather than waiting 2 weeks. The crew were efficient, polite, and friendly. It was evident that they take pride in their work. I sincerely wish I had known about Slab Jackers 6 years ago when the previous work was done. I could not be more pleased!

Great! Came and gave an estimate, put us on their schedule. Came the date and time agreed on. They were prompt, courteous and professional. Did the work and then cleaned up. Gave us the Angie's list discount. No problems!
Description of Work: dirt washed away from underneath sections of front and side walks. They injected cement under the affected areas. There is no longer a bounce when you walk, and now prevents any dropping/cracking of the walks, which would be costly to repair.

The work was performed as described, for the exact price quoted and on the exact date they promised. I couldn't believe they could lift the sidewalk without damaging it but they did just that, not one crack and the step was right back in place.... amazing

My concrete patio behind my house had been settling for years until is was 2" below original elevation. One side was lower than the other. They raised it back to the original elevation and leveled it in approximately half a day. It is still in place after 4 months.

Overall, everything went quite well. The company returned calls and emails promptly. The work was completed in a timely fashion. The price was reasonable. We're HAPPY!
Description of Work: Our house is about twelve years old. The stairs (brick, 5-6 steps, quite wide) leading to our porch/front door had settled (slanted/crooked) and left large gaps between the porch and sidewalk. Also, the porch had settled a bit. SlabJacker brought the stairs back up and leveled them! They also brought up the walkway and porch. We are THRILLED! Our money was well spent. The "first impression" of the house is no longer crooked! We will finish out the project with a bit of concrete caulk after giving the work time to "cure". I didn't actually watch but the process involves drilling small holes to pump concrete under the problem... The remaining holes are insignificant and easily blended with existing concrete/brick. The staff was professional, kind, and skilled. I'll post pictures soon... A GREAT company! BTW, I chose them because of the comments I saw on Angie's List!

How refreshing to have a punctual, responsive tradesman give advice without expecting a cent for it. I felt bad he came out "for nothing", but he assured me that it was his pleasure.
Description of Work: We had cracks on archways below our main deck. I assumed it was foundation structural issues. Mr. David Cox examined the cracks and the deck above and honestly gave us his opinion. His belief was that the cracks in our masonry was not a foundational issue but caused by cracks in our tile on the deck, allowing water to expand with temperature changes to cause cracks in our brick masonry,

Called by getting a referral from Angie's list, and he was very courteous and professional, just a nice man. Came when he said he would, hey that is a BiG thing with me, and I've noticed its such a small thing to do, but alot of contractors have a problem with that. Actually returning a call seems to be hard for some. So i appreciate the man who showed up when he said he would. He gave us his opinion, said he did not do this type of work, but gave us some tips on how to do it ourselves.

We were provided a quote, we approved the work, the crew showed up on time and on the scheduled day. They did the work completely, filled and finished the drill holes neatly and left the driveway clean and edges finished. We had a pallet of tile, purchased as part of our interior remodel, on the driveway slab, obviously in the crew's way, which we could not move due to the weight and lack of equipment. The Slabjackers Rep. said it was not a problem and that they could work around it, which they did. My husband and I were both more than pleasantly surprised and delighted by the outcome of the work and the cleanliness of our property upon completion. The price was exactly as quoted and the Slabjackers sales representative, David Cox, also followed up on the work a few days later to make sure that we were happy with the result and we assured him that we were. One of our other options for repair was to tear out the driveway and re-pour it, which would have cost us thousands more so this option and the result proved to be a no-brainer for us. David Cox and his crew did an outstanding and professional job on our driveway and not only would we recommend Slabjackers for similar work to anyone on Angie's List but we have already recommended them to several of our friends and some other contractors who have visited our property and have been impressed with what they saw as the finished product..
Description of Work: Our home sits on an inclined lot so there is considerable drainage under our poured concrete driveway causing erosion. Over the years, our driveway had cracked and dropped up to four inches on the downhill side creating a step up into our garage and man-door off the garage. Slabjackers provided a quote, set up a schedule, came to our home, drilled holes in our current concrete slab and pumped concrete grout under the slab in increments which raised our concrete slab back up to it's original elevation which is even with our garage floor and man-door. They also planned the slope down across the slab and away from the house which provides proper drainage off the slab during rain or snow conditions.

I had an estimate last fall to repair my front patio. I'd waited on getting it fixed for a while and when I call them back about 6 months later they told me the original estimate would stand. The came out a day or two later and were don just a little after lunch. The crew consisted of three very professional men and it seemed to be a family owned and operated business.
Description of Work: I had a concrete front patio which had a large cavity underneath from the settling of dirt since my home was built about 14 years ago. The cavity was large enough for small animals to get into and use as a burrow, so I need to get it fixed but didn't know how without completely tearing down the patio. I found these guys through Angie's list and luckily they were able to drill holes and use a mud pump of some sort to jack the patio up. They brought it back to what appears to be it's original level and I couldn't be more satisfied. If I had not have had the repair done the patio could have caved in or started to crack and separate and probably would have cost about 2-3 times a much to fix.

Able to provide free estimate within days of the initial phone call. Despite us calling beyond the original agreed upon date, they completed the work for same as estimate. Arrived when stated they arrived, tried multiple approaches until one worked. No mess to clean up afterwards and our garage is now level again.
Description of Work: Concrete in garage had shifted. Cracks ran across the garage in multiple directions. Some areas had created as much as a 1.5" difference in height in the concrete. Leveled the garage floor by drilling holes and filling in.

David Cox and his crew were very professional and also easy to work with. They came highly recommended, and lived up to their reputation. The patio area was large, and had a complex drainage pattern. They worked meticulously to get all the slopes correct. They were twice as expensive as the other bids we got, but the price was very fair for the effort they expended and the results we got. I recommend them to anyone.

They drilled holes into the concrete slab on the front porch where it had begun settling up against the house. They inserted a hose into it and pumped concrete in under the slab, causing the slab to rise back to its normal position. Then they sealed the holes up with concrete. They were very prompt and very neat. They didn't make a big mess. The job was done at least to my satisfaction.

The concrete at the top of the driveway had sunk as a result of settling around the house. David from Slab Jackers came and looked at the situation, explained how the slab jacking worked and what it would do. He was very nice and took the time to answer all my questions. He gave me an estimate for the work. He told me depending on weather it might be a few weeks before the work could be done. About 4 days later he called and said the could do the work if it was convenient for me. Two men came and performed the work. They were very nice and did a good job. The concrete is now back to it's original level.
