My husband noticed our gas water heater in our garage was leaking. I immediately got on Angie's List to find a plumber. We chose Scott's Plumbing based on the Angie's List reviews. We were very pleased with Scott's Plumbing Co. They were prompt and courteous and did exactly what they said they were going to do, when they said they were going to do it. The 2-man crew worked efficiently and explained the new water heater to me before leaving. The only thing I found a little odd was that they didn't want payment after they finished. The crew said I would receive an invoice. Two months later I received an invoice for the work. I had almost forgotten about it!

The whole process was uneventful. The new kitchen sink sat lower than the old sink. So, the original drain access was sitting too high to drain properly. Jennifer was able to reroute line for proper grey water drainage and used the original drain connection for the reverse osmosis system.

Fast, professional, proficient, and polite. Our main water line to the house developed a leak; they pinpointed the problem, managed getting the folks in who survey for underground lines, and on the day of the job they arrived on time, charged what they promised, FINISHED THE JOB IN ~1/2 A DAY with no mess, no fuss,.... and the work has held SOLID for the last four years. They ran the line from the main valve at the street to the hookup at the house via boring machine, thus leaving the driveway and yard INTACT and pristine. Later, (Jan, 2011), I began an indoor project to replace a leaky shower valve. Due to years of corrosion, it turned out to be more than I could handle. Not only did they come out and finish the job I'd started, they didn't make me feel like a fool for trying! It wasn't just their proficiency at the repair that impressed me, it was the personal respect that they showed me.

Went great. They came over on short notice, and finished the job. No problems.

They were very good. They did a good job getting the clog cleared. They came out the same day.

When I called for service I was give a price per hour for each worker and that they work in 2 person teams. One person showed up and spent the 1st 2 hours just putting in the line for the ice maker. Works was done very slowly but I tried to be patient. When the bill was written up the labor was 150% of the quoted amount and when I questioned it the worker told me that it was because of their level of experience. That I was paying more for the better knowledge they had. I paid the bill but I feel like the work took way longer than someone with that level of experience should take. Update: Found the outside faucet is leaking or not functioning as It should. Called and they are promptly coming out to fix.

They were great. The biggest shock was that they actually came at the time they said. They were very punctual. Everything about them was good. They did a good job. They listened to the problem and were attentive. I had two or three other plumbers looking at it and had troubles. It was a lot less inexpensive than I thought. They quoted me a price and it didn't take as much as they thought, so they cut the price off and gave it to me cheaper. So that was really good. I think they thought it was going to be like $400 and they said it didn't take as much. So they're very honest.

The guys were great. They seemed to know what they were doing. The replaced the part relatively quickly. The problem I have is simple. They came to stop the vibration in the line to when the bathtub hot water was turned. The did this BUT it caused the water pressure to be so low that the water just trickled out of the pipe. They did not even take a moment to go upstairs and check this. They simple finished up, told me they were done and off they went. When I called back to say that the water pressure was all messed up they offered to charge me to come out to take a look again. When I went online and figured out how to get the water pressure up by adjusting the regular, the vibration came RIGHT back. I have now discovered the actual problem was that the pressure balancing valve in the shower had to be replaced. That took care of the problem and I could do it myself. Reason for update, the REAL reason the problem with the vibrating pipes existed had NOTHING to do with what they charged me for. I fixed it myself by replacing shower fixture and regulator. Don't use these guys unless you have hundreds to spend and don't want to get your hands dirty.

I called on a Saturday and they returned my call within a few minutes and had someone at the house very quickly. He arrived when he said he would and fixed the problem very quickly. Not only did he relight the hot water heater, but he showed me how to do it next time. He was very professional and personable.

Bob came on referral from a neighbor who was very satisfied with his work. He was prompt, courteous, and called ahead to notify of arrival time. He was very knowledgeable and courteous. He took the time to explain the problems and recommendations which is very unusual in my experience. He took off his shoes to avoid any soiling of our carpet and was careful about cleaning up after the work. His charge was very reasonable for the extended time spent on the job. This is the best experience I have ever had with a plumber and I recommend him and his company without reservation.

I was highly unsatisfied with the service call. My kitchen sink sprayer was leaking heavily from the base of the sprayer. The tech shows up and says they didn't see the (profuse) leak and didn't think it needed to be replaced at all but stated some other pipes under my sink were rusted so they knew something was leaking but it wasn't the sprayer. However I'm 100% certain and sure it is the sprayer because I see it with my own eyes, it's really hard to miss seeing the flowing water when you hold the sprayer in your hand without pressing the button. I was told that if I wanted a kitchen sprayer replaced it would take 2 hours (at $60.00 per hour). I could also hear pipes banging when the toilet was refilling after being flushed. The tech swears it was just that the toilet wasn't filling up all the way but they couldn't hear the 2-3 bangs (underneath the house) that I hear every single time after the toilet is flushed. I called the plumbing office to let them know I would pay the service charge but would not be utilizing their service. The woman on the phone originally asked me if I wanted a second opinion tech sent out and I told her "I don't want to pay for another service charge if it will cost me 2 services charges", so she placed me on hold, spoke with the manager and came back and said "I don't know what to do, do you want to just pay the service charge without any repairs?". I feel extremely unsatisfied and I ended up paying a service fee for the tech being there 7 minutes to tell me basically that I'm crazy and there is nothing wrong with my leaking sink and nothing wrong with my (loud banging) pipes. With the high A grade on Angie's list, I expected much better service than this and I'm extremely disappointed. They were not even willing to send another tech out free of charge for a second opinion. I cannot say I would recommend this place to anyone at this time.

Jeff was very professional and provided and outstanding experience for me. He took the time to answer my questions in detail and setup SAME DAY service in a manner of minutes. I have used several other companies before but now my search has come to and end! They do excellent work and are competitive in their pricing. Highly recommended!

He worked tirelessly for hours. Finally found very hard blockage and equipment chewed through it. He even dug up septic tank opening and worked from there back. He cleaned up all the mess, impressed. Would call them again.

Great. Bob did an excellent job, was efficient, explained what he had to do and why, and was a true professional.

The team quickly located the break, replaced the damaged section and got me back in service. Total time was less than hour.

The receptionist who took my information was very polite and explained the fee schedule up front. We were able to get someone to come out the next day and the service was done in about half an hour. The repair person was professional and didn't leave a mess for us to clean up. I would definitely call them again for any other plumbing or repair needs.

REPAIR WENT VERY WELL. SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT. KNEW EXACTLY WHAT THE PLUMBING PROBLEM WAS AND REPAIRED IT APPROPRIATELY. WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEIR SERVICES AND WOULD NOT HESITATE TO CALL THEM AGAIN.

The crew came, and dug up the under-concrete pipe, removed it, installed gravel, installed a new pipe PVC with a new cleanout just outside the house, then replaced the concrete. Did great work.

We did a DIY kitchen remodel, but wanted the plumbing done by a pro, since we didn't have any experience with that. We chose Scott's because of the good reviews here and because they could get our job done the soonest of all the companies we called. The first time a plumber came out from Scott's it seemed to go great. The man was pleasant, quick, and seemed professional. The dishwasher and sink were already in place, and we re-used our original garbage disposal since it wasn't that old. We just needed someone to install the disposal and connect all the pipes. He charged $130 total to hook everything up, and went on his way. I would have rated them an 'A' at that time. Fast forward six weeks, and it's a typical morning where we're trying to get out of the house to go to work. I turn on the water and run the disposal in the sink and we hear a noise and all of a sudden the water just starts pouring out from under the sink! I turned off the faucet quickly, but there was still water everywhere - under our NEW cabinets, all over our NEW floor, even dripping down into the floor air vent. And it wasn't just water, there was also bits of decomposing food. It was disgusting and smelly. My husband looked at it and said it looked like at least two connections had popped loose, and it seemed to him that they hadn't been secured very well. So we got to clean up a nasty mess and be late to work. Not to mention worrying about damage done to our new kitchen. We called Scott's to come and fix their mistake, but they couldn't fit us in til the next morning. The plumber that came out claimed that everything had been installed correctly the first time, and that we "must have bumped it or knocked it loose", and that "these things just happen sometimes". This is ridiculous! We only store cleaning products under the sink and didn't do anything to the pipes. I have had garbage disposals all my life, and this has never ever "just happened". He generously (I say that with sarcasm) offered to waive the service fee, but we were still charged $50 for parts and labor to repair it. I am really angry with how they handled this - no apology, instead blaming it on us. Maybe we should have done the plumbing ourselves, after all. We couldn't have done much worse, and at least it wouldn't have cost us almost $200.

We have used Scott's Plumbing twice. They are very trustworthy and honest. They did not bill for any more than necessary. They were quick to respond to our service call. I highly recommend them!

Great! Women and senior citizens can been seen as easy marks, but Bob Dreier had a pleasant personality and did exactly what was asked without suggesting extra, unnecessary repairs. He explained everything he was going to do before he did it and even told us what to expect the first few times we use the new showerhead. Very pleased.

The guy was greta. On time, professional, and didn't laugh at me because I couldn't instal the faucet myself.

The technician called me and explained by phone what I needed to do to fix the problem. Therefore, the technician didn't even need to make a service call. I was very impressed!

They came, they saw, they fixed what we asked them to fix.

The repairman (Anthony) was great. He showed up on-time and was very polite and professional. He knew what he was doing. He called ahead of time to give me a heads-up he was on his way (I like that). He did not leave me a mess to clean up afterwards.
