Overall a good experience. I would recommend them to friends.

I signed a contract with Roofing by RLI Jun 18,2011 to replace my hail damaged roof.. RLI has performed no work in the last 75 days. RLI will not answer or return phone calls to this date (Sep 4) I have canceled the contract.

They used the cheapest shingles possible. Clean up was terrible. They left multiple tools in the yard. Nails everywhere. Counted 8 in the driveway and that's not counting the three in our tires. Appeared to be a complete rush job with out of town contractors. Then they hounded me everyday for payment even though the work wasn't complete or completed to my satisfaction. In addition, they completely misrepresented and fabricated the warranty. I still have concerns about my roof as it looks warped in a couple of places which they attributed to the substructure - even though there had never been any prior evidence of any abnormality. I am yet to hear from the owner or any sort of upper management. They appear interested in one thing - gettting done as quickly and cheaply as possible and moving on. Buyer beware.

Their office staff, project management, and people that did the installation were very professional. Everything was done in a courteous manner. The follow-up work with the insurance very good. There is a significant number of roofing companies in this area that have done poor work, but these people were outstanding. I would recommend them.

The person who represented them was professional, he knew his stuff pretty well, he was very polite, and he was responsive. We almost gave them the contract but their price was a little high.

We just loved the manager Mr. Moore. He is just on top of everything. He has been with us for the long process and he is very professional. They have been on time when they said they can do something. They are doing a lot so they had to schedule different times so they are doing pretty good on that. They are really great.

They will not respond to my calls. I have been trying to reach them for 2 months.

RLI was very professional. They did an excellent job. They were able to complete our house in less than 2 days and were able to start on our house 3 days after signing a contract! The clean-up was fantastic. I feel very confident about RLI being a local company.

Despite repeated calls---all of which were answered by an answering service---and assurances that someone from this company would call us back to make arrangements to come by to give us an estimate, no one ever called us or visited. It appears that this company isn't intersted in new business and doesn't have the decency to call to tell a prospective customer to look elsewhere for assistance.

Steve Holley covered all the options and gave quote promptly. Repaired damaged underlayment as he said he would and finished when he said he would. At the quoted price.

After hearing RLI on Newstalk 98.7 after the recent storms, my husband and I decided to give the company a call to have them look at our roof to see if there was damage after the storm. I called and spoke to a very friendly lady who said that someone would call us back, which they did, early last week. We understood that we would not be a priority, since we didn't have an active leak, and we were fine with that. When the weekend came, and we hadn't gotten any type of communication, I called back again and spoke to a very pleasant voice, who assured me that they were very busy and that someone would give me a call soon. I related that I understood that since I didn't have an active leak, I would not be a priority, but that I was concerned that there hadn't been any type of follow up communication from them. It is now almost 2 weeks since my first call and I still have had no follow up from anyone at RLI. This is very disappointing, since my husband and I were so impressed with the owner when he appeared on Newstalk. I understand that our local contractors are overwhelmed with call right now, however, I do feel that there should have been some type of follow-up call, even if it was just to assure us we hadn't been forgotten and ask us to please be patient. That would have made a huge difference in how we feel about this company.

It went very well. They did a good job putting the roof on. It looks very good and the shingles are in place. The materials that they used were of top of the line. We had some trouble with the scheduling. They ordered more material than that was needed and had my husband not caught it, we would have paid for more material that they would have kept because in the contract, it did say that they would take back any materials. They said they would order ten percent more material than needed, to make sure that they had enough. But, they ordered much more than ten percent. We kept some materials and we were credited for some. I think we would use them again because they did a good job, but we would watch them much more closely.

Overall I had a very pleasant experience. I have had one issue that in order to position the shingles in a particular area. They remounted it and it had been popping least, until I had been trying to get them to do the follow up. They came out and looked at it. They supposedly fixed it; but by the time I have got home and it popped back out again. The sidings had been aged and I'm not sure that particular thing did any lack of supporting. The sidings might have reached the end of its life and needs to be replaced. They worked with the price, they told they would. They gave an excellent value and they were very competitive. The workmanship has been good or bad; but I have been very happy with them. I will recommend them to somebody else. The workers were courteous and they were on time. They stayed with the job. They told they will get it done in one day; but it took them little bit longer because we had an issue with roof. They worked with me and one of the thrusts had to be patched. There was an issue and it got broken. They did that and they didn't charge me extra to do that. I appreciated that.

Steve and his crew are top notch. Very professional and completed work as scheduled and as estimated. They showed up at my house on one day and the job was finished the next. Uncommon for a roofing contractor.

I chose them because I liked the guy that came to talk to me. I think they did a good job. He was very professional, and the crew worked hard and fast.

It seemed to work just fine. They seemed to know what they were doing and did a good job with it although it was just done recently so we don't know about the quality. They were professional. We didn’t compare the price. They came out quick and did what they said they were going to do.

What a nice surprise. They did exactly what they said they would.

After i called them to do the work they showed up and the job manager had a sample of the gutter caps. They looked nice so we added them to the job. The work was completed they had good follow up to ask if we had any questions. Bottom line they did a Great job! The owner steve and the job manager rick were great.

They have done what they said they would. The only thing is that there was a long lead time to get the roofing materials from the plant (it seems to be a popular material) and their guys couldn't work full days because it was too hot in the middle of the day, so it took longer than they said initially. Other than that I am happy with their work.

Materials arrived two days before the job was scheduled to start. Crew arrived on time, spread tarps to catch most of the shingles and nails and they worked diligently. They found a couple of areas of rotten sheathing and replaced those. Afterwards they cleaned up as well as could be. I picked up nails for a couple of months after the job, but I guess they can't catch all of them in their tarps, pick them up with their magnets, or find them all by hand. I don't really have a problem with the nails just letting you folks know what to expect. The only minor problem I had was I chose a tan color flashing for my chimney and allowed them to install it 'straight' (not stepped). After they installed it, I really didn't like the color. I called and said I wanted it changed to a brown color to better match the shingles and wanted it stepped and would pay for the extra labor and material as one would expect - it wasn't their fault. The repair guys showed up promptly to change the chimney flashing but they didn't have a good attitude. They made the repair well, but I didn't appreciate the bad vibes even though I let them know it was a change in my preference for the flashing, not any fault of their work. Good bunch of guys. I would definetly work with Roofing by RLI again.

Great experience, Owner of the company worked our quote from start to finish. Even delivered shingle samples by our house, twice. He and his crew arrived at our house and started the job on time. The crew worked professionally and quickly. They picked up the parts and pieces from the yard every day. During the job the owner dropped by several times during the day to check on the progress. He was able to include additional changes on the fly.

They gave me an excellent price. They were very professional and they came back to complete all the small details that I wanted to get rectified. It was overall a good professional service and I wrote them a reference letter.

A professional company who dealt with a change in weather decently (it caused less work completed at the end of the 1st day), but they did not start the job until late on the day they selected. After it was started, it only took two consecutive days to complete.

The project went very well given that it was a very complicated job. The work crew was excellent. They worked hard and sometimes long hours. There were a couple of short delays because of shipping issues that essentially were the manufacturer's problem, not Roofing by RLI. We are very pleased with the new roof. It adds both aesthetic, environmental, and financial value to our house.
