Excellent job. Highest possible marks on workmanship, communication, organization, and staying within budget. Work was completed in a timely way, with little impact on the rest of the house. The crew was professional, highly-skilled, and paid close attention to all of the details of the job resulting in my complete satisfaction. I couldn't be more pleased.

I can't recommend these contractors. Their work ethic is poor, the quality is worse and the time to get the job almost (not complete) was 6 times what they had originally estimated. Communication was very poor and they got aggravated with me when I began to point out the poor quality work from the subcontractors. I have a long story that I will try to make short. We started this project with these guys in March of 2014. They estimated three months to complete, they said they were done in August of 2015. The original quote was just over $17,000.00, the final price for the work was over $44,000. They did not manage the project very well and used sub-contractors that did a very poor job in almost every aspect of the project, from walls, ceiling, paint, cabinet install, flooring, window frames, doors and most everything else, there are significant flaws. They always had and excuse and were quick to pass blame to someone else. They required us to purchase low quality cabinets and a kitchen counter top from Kitchen Sales of Knoxville. We could have purchased as good or better quality cabinets at Lowes or Home Depot for much less. The house was to be a rental home and we were promised the house would be "rent ready" when they were finished. I have lots of photographs and complete 3D laser scans of the project as well as every communication, email, text and recorded conversations to support my position and review. I now have to hire other contractors to fix the problems they failed to correct from their own work, not to mention the mess they left after telling my wife that they cleaned up after themselves, and that she would not even know they had been there. This is really simple, I explained to Ron and Jason when we first met that I travel a lot for my job and would need them to keep me informed, help me make critical decisions and watch over the project closely as if it belonged to them. Regardless of the problems they ran into, they are supposed to be professionals and should have evaluated the project closely, just as I had asked and they had agreed to. I expressed my disappointment some months ago and the owner promised he would personally look over the project himself and he would see to it things were done right and finished. He only came back once that I am aware of after that conversation. I feel as if I have been lied to, robbed and taken advantage of and I have the proof to backup every statement I have made. Good luck if you decide to use these guys, initially they will be likable and appear to treat you fair, but that may change in the end. I thought long and hard about not paying them, but I did anyway. If I had the time, I would have not paid them, filed a lawsuit and taken them through legal channels to make this right, unfortunately, it would require more time and money for me to pursue legal action, than I have. FYI, I am still paying others to fix the problems they left behind. You can see photos on the yelp review

Description of Work: Restoration 101 was hired to re mediate water and mold damage to a ground-floor apartment. Damage was extensive to bathroom and bedroom. Job was completed on time and within our budget. The bathroom looks like "nothing ever happened" and was updated to our specifications. Ron and Jason were very easy to work with. They do hire subs for some jobs but the subs are very professional and will provide an honest day's work. We are very pleased with the quality of work and would hire them again.

They gave me a very fair estimate. I am just waiting for the time when I can get started with the work. I was looking at tearing the carpets and the paneling off the walls and just going back to sheetrock and then I gave it a shot at just cleaning the paneling and painting the ceiling and refinishing the floor. They are good. They act like they know what they are doing. People at the other place recommended them very highly. The guy that came out and did the measurement and did the estimate worked with me as far as what I wanted done and he was easy to deal with as far as that goes. They are very responsive.
Description of Work: I got an estimate from Restoration 101 for tearing up the carpet that is in the house and refinish the hardwood floor that is underneath it. We are also going to replace the paneling, which was an option because my mother had passed away and she was a heavy smoker, and had been smoking in the house for along time.
