It was a nightmare. I thought when I called for service, I would see the father and namesake (Rudy). Instead Rusty (son) came to repair my heater. He replaced a thermostat and the bill was almost 400.00, which I thought was excessive for less than an hour's work. Then he informed me I needed a new heating unit very soon. After speaking with Rusty and telling him everything I was planning to do, Rusty said he could do everything I needed. I was very explicit in what I wanted to be done and he quoted me a price. It was higher than I had received from another company so I told him I would go with the other company quote. He asked how much it was and agreed to do it for less. Each time he started a job, (STARTED) being the keyword, Rusty asks for money upfront prior to any work. I never operate this. However, due to the fact that I am related to his family and his Dad is an extremely reputable and honest businessman as is his mother. I decided to proceed. Rusty replaced my heating unit in a reasonable time but was very slow in getting the plumbing started. He would say he would be her on a certain day and time and never followed thru. I spoke with him about his business practices and how it would affect his business negatively if he treated everyone as he did my job. He did not seem to care and just brushed me off. The heating unit leaked and flowed into 2 adjacent rooms and caused damaged to the baseboard and sheetrock which will have to be replaced. I paid upfront for the plumbing and electrical work. It was not completed. The plumbing work was to change out the copper pipe with PEX was not completed and my water heater is still sitting in a position that is not safely vented to the outside. This due to the copper pipes leaking and the sheetrock having to be replaced before the water heater could be returned to its original location. I paid Rusty extra for this service and for the removal of a master bath garden tub. Fast forward to today (2/16/20,) an inspection of the plumbing under my home, revealed a large gaping hole in the ductwork and other damage that was supposed to be fixed. This whole nightmare started on November 1, 2019. I tried to contact Rudy Hauther and had to leave a voicemail. Within minutes, Rusty Hauther called me spouting profanity and asking if I called his dad. I informed him yes I did and I did so because I needed help to get everything completed. Rusty Hauther said his Dad didn't have anything to do with the company. I advised him his Dad's name is on the business so yes he certainly has something to do with the business.I was disappointed that I did not hear from Rudy. However, after my dealings with Rusty, I felt he lied to his father and told him he completed everything. When Rusty did showup he usually had one helper would work an hour or so and then saying he would return later that day or the next day. He never show up. MY WORK I PAID RUSTY HAUTHER OF R & R HEATING AND AIR HAS NOT BEEN COMPLETED. Rusty is not trustworthy, lies excessively, and promises way more than he is capable of doing. IF you hire him, get a contract and do not pay upfront. He should stick to Heating and Air because he does not have the ability or knowledge to do any other jobs. I have hired other professionals to complete the work I paid Rusty Haugher to complete. I refuse to allow him back on my property

R&R was very professional explained to me the issue with HVAC unit and then fixed it. They got my HVAC unit working better then it has ever worked. If you are looking for a honest company that is going to find and fix your problem give them a call. They came the same day I called and had it fixed that day.
