Description of Work: We called Precision as they advertised new rollers for $99.00. They came the day after we called and installed the rollers. We asked for a complete checkup of the garage doors. He gave us a list of items that probably should be replaced - our decision. We decided to go ahead and have everything on list done except one. Although the additional work was not scheduled, he went ahead and finished the same day. Also, our neighbors decided to have the roller special done also. Now, our doors open and close quietly; before it sounded like the doors could fall off of the tracks at any time.

Description of Work: Inspection revealed cracked or broken components. Replaced entire springe mechanism, lift cables and rollers, track rollers, several missing bolts, adjusted tracks, tuned opener settings and chain tension, and lubricated everything. Explained each step and showed me what the defect or problem was as he worked. Very professional and thorough. Although I had not set out to spend this much, I did not know the problems at hand; not to mention mistakes in the original installation, I am pleased with the work done and the cost.

Description of Work: REPLACED ALL ROLLERS ON THE DOOR AND RELUBED THE HINGES TO MAKE THE DOOR QUIETER.HE INSPECTED THE DOOR AND GAVE SOME IDEAS FOR FUTURE NEEDED WORK BUT SAID THEY DIDN'T NEED TO BE DONE NOW.. ONLY PROB WAS THAT HE THOUGHT THE ANGIES LIST COUPON DIDN'T INCLUDE THE 65 SERVICE CALL.. ONE CALL TO HIS OFFICE AND THIS WAS RESOLVED THE 99 ANGIES COUPON WAS ALL I PAID AND THE SERVICE CALL WAS TAKEN OFF THE BILL GREAT SERVICE TO THE CO AND ANGIE ARTHUR

Description of Work: One of the springs broke and needed to be replaced. The technician suggested not only replacing the broken spring but to also perform preventative maintenance on the door by replacing most all of the wear parts. The 2 springs were replaced along with the bearing supports and the rollers. he also replaced a worn weather seal on the bottom of the door. Tried to sell me on a $15 spray can of synthetic lubricant. I declined. The work came with a 5 year warranty. 100% covered the first year, then in years 2 thru 5 there is a $65 service call but all other parts and labor are included in the warranty. I am glad that he was able to make the required repairs on a Sunday. The work was completed in about an hour. I don't know how competitive this merchant is as I did not get quotes from any other gargae door repair company. But $700 seems somewhat expensive for an hour's work. I would be surprised if the cost for all parts replaced totalled more than about $300, if that. I like the piece of mind that it is warranted for 5 years.
