At first Jerry came out and looked at my door It was in bad shape He told me it was rebuildable but I opted for the new door with insulation. They had one in Knoxville and said it would be down on Thursday Jerry offered to make the old garage door up to get our car out But I told him not to worry about it we had another car outside. The installers showed up at 2pm and were gone at 4 pm. They were professional and very helpful in explaining what they here to do. I will call these guys for my tune ups from now on. I'm very pleased with my new door. It's 16x 7 foot door. Precision beat a quote I had from Home Depot buy a hundred dollars

It was fine. The door works. They were completely responsive. The technician was knowledgeable. He took care of the business. He showed us what he did and was on his way.

They came two hours earlier than they were supposed to, so I was impressed with that. I will probably use them again within the next two months or so. They were prompt, polite, quick to respond and schedule me, so I was totally impressed. They came to Chattanooga from Knoxville to do the work, too.

The technician was courteous and capable, the door is fixed, but I still feel scammed. This is because I spent way more money on this repair than I had expected, and the technician was obviously much more interested in selling me new equipment than in fixing what I had. There was no concern for saving me money--the tone was aggressive sales, and if I was not eager to buy, then I might just end up with a system even more destroyed--through my penny-pinching-- than it already was. When the technician arrived, I told him what I had learned from the diagnostics and asked if he could replace the logic board. He replied that he did not have that part on his truck and would have to come back. I told him the dispatcher had assured me he would have all parts, but he said the dispatchers aren't fully informed. He also said there was no guarantee that replacing the logic board would fix the problem. What he suggested was buying a whole new motor and, because of the frequent power surges in my neighborhood, he also recommended a battery backup and a surge protector. This was more than I had bargained for, but I agreed to these new items and a universal transmitter for the other door for a price of $629. The technician went on to talk about rollers and bearing plates and how all that was looking like it would fall apart soon, and how he could fix these additional things (options presented in "Good," "Better," "Best" format) for $1,079. I said no thanks--that I would settle for "Good." I asked if he had another surge protector that I could put on the opener system for my other garage door, and he said he didn't, but that I could pick one up at the office and these were priced at $65. At this point, I searched for this item on Amazon and found it for around $11, which truly gave me pause regarding the whole deal. However, I went through with it; the door is fixed; and I must say the new motor is quieter and the door works better. Still, I had tried Precision because my usual company could not come as soon. It is hard not to wonder if my usual garage door company would have been able to fix my existing motor and if my bill might well have been less.

The serviceman was very professional, helpful and efficient. The door is at least 20 years old and now it works like new. Compared to purchasing a new door, $408.00 is a good price. I will definitely use this provider again.

The technician was a nice guy. He tightened and lubricated the door. The service went well.

My husband was very please. He has been wanting to replace the door. The recommended door provides better insulation and is quieter for some reason.

Tommy gave me an estimate to just repair the broken spring and cables and the price for a complete overhaul that included a new drum and rollers. I opted to spend the additional $200 + for the complete overhaul. Tommy replaced drum, spring, cables and rollers. The overhaul came with a 5 year warranty. Prompt, courteous and professional.

repairman came out to fix door that was off the track - he was very professional, but ended up upselling us new wheels for our door that really weren't necessary. Shortly after our opener went out, so I called them & told them I felt ripped off by the expensive wheels we were sold, and they reduced the price of the new opener. I probably wouldn't call them again because of the first experience.

I'm not sure we really needed to replace all that we did. The job ended up being much more extensive and expensive than we thought it should have been.

It was a garage door tune up

They came out right away. They were running a few hours behind but he called to inform me of this. The work they did was fine. They wanted to do more work which I didn’t think was necessary but he was ok with that.

One of the torsion springs on our 16'x7' garage door bit the dust on Saturday morning. By Sunday afternoon it was fixed. The technician seemed very polite, knowledgeable, and experienced. There are multiple reviews online noting the up-sale pressure from this company, and they are not wrong. They will ALWAYS try to get you to opt for their top level service which replaces most everything except the door itself...all bearings, springs, etc. In order to get full use of their warranty you will have to pay for this top-level service. Although, they do pressure for the up-sale, and it is not cheap, I wouldn't say it is TOO expensive for what you get, especially considering the timely service. That being said, if you can afford to wait a few days to a week, you can likely get similar service a bit cheaper.

They did diagnose & fix the door and got the job done but it was more money than I thought it would be.

Following the retrofit, the door is Much smoother operating, and I am confident that it will last many more years. If I do have issues, or decide to replace the door itself in the future, I will definitely contact Precision Door Service to complete the work.

The technician arrived on time and immediately began work.He discovered that I had left off the wiring connection for a safety device and wired it in. He then checked out all of my wiring and adjusted the remote openers to the door opener and serviced the old parts of the door and coded the openers to the door. He was cheerful and explained what I had done wrong in my initial installation.
