Precision Door Service

These are super nice folks; from Jody who books your appointment to the service technician they send out. my husband and I both work, but Jody arranged to have the technician come out after 6:00. He called to let us know he was on his way so we knew when to expect him. He was courteous, professional, and very efficient. He serviced the door and went over, in detail, with my husband what we need to do going forward. No pressure, just suggestion to keep us out of trouble going forward. He explained how they could replace certain parts that would extend the life of our door and did not try to "sell" us a new door. I would recommend these folks highly.

My garage door would not close the service technician told me my warranty would cover the board that needed replaced if I spent a minimum of 400.00 to maintenance my garage door, that was his inexpensive fix called Rone garage doors for a second opinion for 200.00 dollars my garage door was serviced and the garage door opener replaced

He recommended that I change from a spring system to a torsion bar system. That cost me an additional $378,but added life to the motor of my garage door operner. My door is far more quiet now. BTW, it took the tech fewer than five minutes to change out the ten door rollers; he knew what he was doing.

The service man was very professional and informative.

We got the $89 deal from Angie's List for a tune-up on our garage door. We had noticed that it was kind of dropping the last foot on the way down. Precision Door Service called and they were able to come out very soon after calling them. They arrived on time and found that one of the springs was broken on the automatic garage door. They were able to completely fix the mechanism that day, which was very nice. The cost did go up to $500 but that was expected.

They called right away and came immediately. I was happy with the results and would recommend them to others.

I purchased a new garage door from Precision and their service technicians removed the old door and installed the new door. They were prompt, efficient, and professional. I believe they offer a trustworthy service available to all.

We purchased the $99 roller replacement service. The technician arrived on time (and on a Friday afternoon at that!) and was very courteous. My concern about the experience was that on arrival, he examined our doors, advised that the springs were bad and needed to be replaced. He disconnected each door from the overhead attachment that connects it to the garage door opener, and attempted to suspend the door half way up. The door on one side didn't hold, which he advised was evidence of failed springs, which he could replace. We went ahead and bought the springs, and also purchased an outside remote opener. | |Everything we acquired works well and as advertised, and I would use these folks again. I am a bit concerned though (in fact, fairly well convinced) that the $99 roller service product is a method to, in effect, make a sales call, and that all door springs are likely in the same shape as ours.

Service was excellent. Received my email confirmation of my scheduled appointment. Service Tech called ahead of time to tell me he was on his way. Service Tech (Patrick) was professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. Diagnosed my problem and fixed it. Made recommendations. Would highly recommend them. Don't waste your time calling anyone else.

I purchased the special from Angie's list to have the doors inspected as I was hearing a persistent clicking sound on one door and the doors were getting slower and slower to open and close. Patrick arrived promptly at 1:00 on Friday as scheduled and did a thorough inspection on both doors. As I suspected, the doors (which hadn't been inspected since the construction of the house 8 years ago), were beginning to show advanced wear and tear and the one door was just about ready to quit. Patrick offered several solutions to get the doors in operating order. I opted to have the doors completely overhauled -- knowing that I can either pay now or definitely pay more later! Patrick did a thorough job on the doors and upon completion of the work, he cleaned up after himself and even offered to sweep out my garage for me. He even programmed two new fobs for my doors at no extra charge.

It was a good experience and they did a really good job. They came out on the scheduled day on time. It took them about an hour. Everything is working very well. They did a good job, did what they said they were going to do and it was a good price. They came out a week after I ordered it. I had to buy a part. I would use them again.

But I was please.with the way they handled this problem.

The service was very good. The technician explained everything very clearly. He did try to encourage me to replace other parts, but once I told him I only wanted the service requested he did the job in a timely manner, and the door has operated very well since.

Technician showed up within the time period stated by the company. However, I was not happy about the lecture on how the sensor was supposed to be lined up, since we had just moved into the home. The technician also decided that he needed to hang off of the other (working) garage door rail - for some reason not stated. Even though the ratings on Angie's list were high, I will not use this company again AND I ended up having to call out another company two months later for the same sensors to be told that it wasn't me, it was the sensors that was the problem.

It was okay. There was a recommendation for additional improvements given by the technician who came out. We ended up going with the recommendations so there were additional costs with the Big Deal. It ended up being around $400.They replaced the main spring, the cables, and pulleys. I was a little bit surprised about the additional requirements. I felt obligated to get the suggested work done. I just felt that the door was working fine before, but the technician was able to convince me to do the preventative maintenance and replacement as opposed to waiting for them to go out (based on the age of the door) because replacing the whole door would have been more expensive. I would probably hire them again because they did good work and they were quick and efficient.

They came out shortly after I purchased the "Big Deal" and the service was fine. It was the first time that I used this company and the guy that came out was a very nice guy. He called to get permission to come out. I thought that it was nice of him to extend his data to accommodate us.

I was very pleased with them. I really like that when they made some mistake the first time when they came out and measure it and they actually came out again and do it again. I work at a small business and I thought that was really cool for them to do that.

They were an "A" experience. He also talked about other services they offer.

We asked the service provider one more time if he was interested in replacing the sproket... He again offered the the replacement of the entire unit. We thannked him and let him go. The following week, we had another local door company come by and replaced the sroket and service the door ($90) and it has worked perfectly for the past three months!. We intend to report the service change to the CC company as a disuted change and seek refund. and of course, do not recommend or plan to use the service provider. There are several other highly skilled garage door professionals in the Knoxville TN area.

They recognized the problem and told us what it was and corrected it, and suggested that we might have to get a new opener in the future, because it is an old one and it is one of the signs that comes up when they are starting to fail. That was something good to know so we can start looking around for a new garage door motor. They were prompt and corrected the problem. As far as the price, we had a discount from Angies List, but I think it was a free service call.
