The job overall went fine. They had to take the compressor out and replace it. I had a problem in my electric box and the circuit kept going out. He came out and replaced something on the air conditioner not knowing it was the circuit breaker. He came out again and again. There was a lot of tenacity in fixing the problem. Their service was good because they came back 3 or 4 times until it was fixed, one night until 10pm. They also came out on a Saturday.
Description of Work: They fixed my air conditioning for me by replacing the compressor.

After our first winter in our house, we noticed that the HVAC unit could no longer heat our house. We'd have the thermostat set for 70 and the unit struggled to get it up to 58 degrees. Any time the heat came on, the thermostat displayed "aux heat". Looking at the unit, we saw Roger's information and called him. After talking to him we found out he installed the unit in 2007 for the previous owners. He came to take a look at it in March 2009 and diagnosed the problem as it being low on R-22 and he put in 3 pounds. He said there was a possible slow leak but did not recommend a leak check at this time. The system seemed to work fine for the next few months but then we had trouble again in November 2009. We called Roger again and set up an appointment for the first week of December. He was over four hours late for the appointment and again diagnosed the problem as the unit being low on R-22. This time he recommended a leak check as he explained that R-22 should never have to be refilled (would have been nice to know this the first time he checked the system). He asked that I call to set up an appointment for the leak check. After calling for over two weeks (he does not have voice mail either at his office or on his cell phone) we finially got in touch with him and set up an appointment for a leak check on Dec. 28. Again he was late, this time by a couple of hours. He said he found two leaks in the indoor coil and it would have to be replaced. He said he'd have to check to see if the unit was under warranty and he'd call me later in the day. Never heard from him. We continued to call him and in January he confirmed that it was under warranty and that he'd order the part and as soon as it came in he'd call and set up a time. Never called. Again, we continued to call until we got an appointment for Febuary 11th. At noon he was one hour lat and called to say that he had to pick up his kids from school and he would call when he was on his way over. At 5:30, he just showed up saying that he brought a helper and would have it finished in one hour. At 8:30, they left but had to come by the next day to give us the invoice because he didn't have it invoice pad with him. Febuary 12th, he stopped by almost on time and gave me the bill. He had to put in more R-22. He said to call if we had any problems. Later that day, our "aux heat" was still on and we couldn't get our house to warm up to what the thermostat is set to. We've called numerous times and cannot get in touch with him. So, after paying $777 (for four visits total) and getting a new coil installed our system (which is now only 3 years old) is not working. Roger Ogle was unprofessional and consistantly late. The only reason we were using him was because he had installed the unit but now I am strongly regretting that decision. I would not recommend Ogle's Mechanical to anyone. I am a first time home owner and have learned a huge lesson from this mistake.

I had originally called the local utility company to do the repair, but they balked because my condenser line was cracked. They refused to do any work on my furnace whatsoever. I called Ogles and Roger was really nice and professional. He came to my house within the hour and diagnosed the problem. He didn't have the part on hand, but promised to return later that evening when I got home from work and put the part in. He came by later as promised and within 10 minutes I had heat. I'll definitely call him again when I need to have work done on my furnace.
Description of Work: Roger replaced a "safety" on my furnace.
