Mr. Handyman of West Knoxville

I have called on Mr. Handyman services now four (4) times. The technician I always request is Craig. I can't say enough good things about him. I feel safe around him and trust him. He shows up on time and can hang a ceiling fan in what seems like no time. He does a great job and knows what to do when he runs into problems that might not be expected. Craig has changed ((all the lights)) in this house, hung pictures, installed the base board. Craig is fast so if your not sure you have an hour worth of work you should wait till you do. Each time he came I thought I had a days worth of work and he has never been here more than four hours each time. I highly recommend Mr. Handyman. There are coupons you can find in various places that save you about 40 or 50 dollars. The mint magazine that comes in your mailbox, internet etc.

They were punctual, professional, and timely. I would definitely use them again.

They were very prompt and communicated with us for each step of the process. We often dealt directly with the owner and then with his referral sources at times. When you have an odd job or need a quick response they are the ones to call. Everyone else I got voicemail or an answering service stating they would call back in 24 hours.

They have a chain, and there isn't much they can do with their prices, because they have more overhead than your local handyman. They do good work, and in total, it is probably okay, and you don't need to get people back. We have used them several times and they have always done good work. They have coupons too, if you are a repeat customer. They are professional, wear uniforms, and have nice vehicles too.

Handyman of knoxville sent a person out to fix some exterior doors that were sticking. The person they sent out called me on his way to get some additional details about the issue. After I provided him with what details I had about the sticking doors, he proceeded to assure me that he was a "door specialist" and would be able to promptly resolve my issues. He arrived onsite, looked at one of the doors for literally 45 seconds , then proceeded to tell me that he couldn't fix it, and that I should call the manufacturer and ask for their assistance. He followed that up by telling me that I would have to pay a 50.00 service charge, which directly contradicts what I was told by the main office. The main office stated very clearly before they sent someone that there would be no charge if they couldn't fix the issue.

The double door in my basement was out of alignment and would no longer latch. I called Mr. Handyman and they sent Jack who arrived promptly at 8 a.m. the following day. I think he was expecting a smaller job but he stayed most of the day, went out for supplies, took the door out of the frame and replaced the rotten wood so that now the door works great. He was very professional, pleasant and efficient. I will definitely be calling on Mr. Handyman again.

The work appears to be high quality. The color matches and you cannot tell that the vinyl siding ever blew off. However, the quality better be good for $700. It burns me up when these handymen take advantage of unknowledgable individuals. I had a conversation with my neighbor and was given permission to post this on Angies.

Everything went very smoothly. I called 11/13 at 8am, described what had happened with the door. I was told someone would be here around 10. I received a call at 9:30 and tech showed up at 9:45. Very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. I will be using them again. What a great service and business.

He arrived on time and was very professional. Answered all my questions. Gave a quote for labor rate and service charge. He replaced the kitchen faucet and waterline to the ice maker. Would definitely hire them again.

They were prompt, on time, they were in uniform, they were very helpful, and they did a great job. They were a little pricey. I am satisfied with the work.

You can find someone to do the work cheaper, but I have always been totally satisfied with everything about the work. Very professional, on time, no surprises. This was the third time I've used them.

Made appointment on Friday 10-7-13. Got estimate a basis of charges at that time. Appointment scheduled for 10-7-13 for 1:00 pm. About 12:30 provider called and said he would be here within the hour, and 20 minutes later he was. Went to work right away on replacing toilet tank innards. Had to purchase some parts on two occasions for unexpected circumstances. Worked pleasantly and quickly. Very focused. Very skillful. Very communicative about what problems were and options and recommended solutions. Cleaned up after project. Also replaced three peices of siding quickly and apparently well, and anchored a small window. Smooth operation all the way, even after encountering unexpected problems with floor pipe on toilet issue. Provider very courteous and knowledgeable. May be the first time in 71 years I have had as pleasant a "repair" experience.

Jack of Mr. Handyman was punctual, meticulous in his work area and when he left there was no evidence that he had been in our home. To top it off, he was pleasant to be around. We are already working on the next project he will tackle for us!

Mr. Handyman of West Knoxville is a superior business. We have had many people work on our house over the last 30 years, but they are the very best. Their office responded immediately to our non-emergency call, & scheduled an appointment to give an estimate. The technician, Mike McIntosh, arrived on-time (after calling to confirm). His estimate was fair--not inexpensive, but fair--& he explained what he would be doing. Two days later, he was back to do the work--he worked very hard, carefully, & neatly. When he was finished, he cleaned up very thoroughly. We will call on this company anytime in the future.

Allen was a great source of information and compassion at a time when everything was chaotic. He took the lead and referred us to a restoration company that could help us with the water damage to our home. He followed up with us to make sure things were going okay and provided more referrals to businesses that would be able to help us fix our home. We truly appreciated him going that extra mile.

I thought that the man they sent did a good job.

The workers were timely. They were respectful and honest. The work they did is beautiful and quality.

The work was done quickly and professionally. Two men arrived promptly, did the work and cleaned up after themselves. Since then, no leaks when it rains (and we've had a lot since then!) and the air leaks where the room meets the brick exterior are gone. It's wonderful

I called and set the appointment 10 days in advance. Hourly rate and service charge information was provided. The serviceman arrived promptly on the scheduled day and called approximately 15 minutes before his arrival to let me know he was on his way. He was professional and arrived ready to work. After showing him the work to be done, he gave me an estimate of the amount of time it would take to complete the tasks and again confirmed the hourly rates. His estimate was reasonable and he completed the work on time.

I got a quote from them in January. It was for a small project. It was for fixing a door. They were very nice and my husband ended up fixing it. I would have used them if my husband had not fixed it. They were very professional and prompt, they were friendly. I would use them again in the future.

They had Bo come in and estimate the 3 bedrooms first. We hired him. He did the first room in a timely, efficient and great manner. He was on time, he did great work and the room looks great. He was supposed to do the second room, but was unexpectedly called away to another job. The owner tried to make it better with a "team" to get it done faster, but the team messed up the doors and it cost more. We were not told it would cost more to have a team. The job ran over time and cost more than it should have. We had to "negotiate" a new price because it was so poorly handled. After that job, the owner wouldn't communicate with us. I had to always call him back to find out when we could get Bo again for the other jobs. Bo did the third bedroom, the indoor work and the outdoor work. He was always punctual, communicated better than the owner and was great at his work. If it hadn't been for Bo we would have found someone else to do the third bedroom, the interior work and the exterior work. If you use this company for any remodeling, request Bo and only Bo. The other team he has is not as good and messed up quite a bit of their job that they had to fix.
