I went with MIG based on recommendation from real estate agent. The same agent recommended I go VA, so relying on his expertise, I made this request to MIG. The advantages of a VA loan were nullified by my putting down a very large down payment (VA not requiring mortgage insurance and also providing loans to people with poor credit scores-mine is very good). In retrospect, I would have been better served with a conventional loan, but I didn't know enough to pursue this option and the MIG loan officer didn't enlighten me either. From the time I locked with MIG, rates fell, so after the loan closed, I refinanced with an online bank at a lower rate. When I emailed the MIG loan officer as to why my payoff was different than what I was expecting, I received a VERY unprofessional email from the MIG loan officer about loss of commission, etc. I am not in the real estate industry and rarely change homes, so this was all new to me. I was quite insulted by the lack of professionalism. I asked the online loan officer (who was exceptional) I was using for the refinance about this and she said that in her organization, the MIG loan officer would have been fired.

They laid out all our options and explained the process we would have to go through. They advised us of the best option for us even though they could not provide the service themselves. We would highly recommend them and will use them in the future.

Not great!

Our experience was good with some learning curves along the way. John was available for questions and information at every turn. We were able to get a good mortgage at a great rate with no last minute surprises - something I insist on for my own clients. I certainly recommend them.

Andy Munsey was so helpful and honest. This was a local company and they were all extrenely helpful and nice. They offered me a discount the first time I walked in and then when I returned to sign paperwork they tripled the original discount. This experience was very painless and pleasant. Andy still keeps in contact with me through email regarding the housing market and how things are looking.

Recommendation from someone made me choose them over competition. They took care of all our needs and they were reasonably priced. I would absolutely use them again in the future if need be.

Initially, my questions weren't answered promptly. The first agent I worked with left the company, and the next agent was not really eager to help me to much. My realtor arranged for another agent, Patty Francisco, who was great. From then on the service was first-rate. They were fair and gave me an deal on a mortgage that other mortgage brokers couldn't beat.

Very well. We wound up with a great interest rate, and spent less getting it than anticipated.
