MDM construction repaired a leak to my chimney both at the roof and on the top masonry cap. Mike McClain (owner) is the best of the best. Highly recommend.

Prior to any work being done I received a written estimate (detailed) outlining the scope of the project and cost. It also included a second option (less expensive) of installing vinyl in lieu of Hardie Plank. The communication between Mike MCClain (owner) and the crew made the job appear seamless and when they ran into problems I was always kept in the loop and assured that it could/ would be handled. In addition, Mike was very visible during the entire project and made sure he answered any questions or concerns I may have had. The crew was prompt, professional, courteous and extremely knowledgable regarding the product and installation of the product. At the end of each day all debris was cleared and it was apparent that all parties involved took pride in their work. I will definitely use them again.

Our roof was damaged in the severe weather that hit Knox County in April, 2010. We were unaware of the damage until we actually began to see leaks. We filed the claim with our homeowner's insurance and then we experienced major delays because of paper work and roofing companies who turned out to be storm chasers and a great deal of difficulty in finding a reasonable estimate for the work to be done. Finally we were able to get a list of qualified roofers and called many of them to get an estimate. Mike from MDM was quick to return our call and responded to us quickly through the rest of the process. After all the problems we had encountered, his responsiveness was enough for us to decide that MDM was the roofing company we would use. He followed through at once in getting all the needed information to our insurers and the work was scheduled very shortly after our first call. Most of our neighbors had needed roof repairs and so we had watched....sometimes in distress...their work being done. We saw roofs that took weeks to complete, roofs that had to be re-done and huge messes left in the neighbors yards. We were hoping for a better experience with MDM and they did not disappoint us. Mike was helpful and professional in every step of the process, even when we had trouble settling on a final color for the shingles. The crew arrived exactly when they were supposed to and went right to work. All during the installation process, they were polite and professional and focused on the work. But we were still AMAZED when Mike rang the doorbell that same afternoon to let us know the work was complete. And it was complete and beautifully done and our yard looked better than when they started the new roof! I would recommend MDM Construction to anyone in need of roofing repair or replacement! GREAT JOB!!!!!!

He had a different person come out to do the job. I didn?t pay him anything. He actually paid a part of my bill.

It was a large project. . .so there were a few problems as you would expect. In spite of that, Mike was always courteous, professional, and worked through any issues in a very positive manner. Although the weather didn't cooperate with us, I was happy with the pace of construction overall. The end result was excellent. . .and gave our steep, previously unusable back yard a point of interest that I believe really adds value to the home.

The job went well. The guys showed up on time and worked hard the whole time they were on the job. There was a supervisor there at all times and considering that all materials, old and new, had to be hand carried around my house due to the steepness of my yard, the work went amazingly fast. Mike and Brett made suggestions about the construction of the deck and how to make it as stable as possible. With a deck this high off the ground, we wanted as little sway as possible and we got a rock solid deck. Our old joists were about 24" apart. MDM ran them at 16" on center in addition to adding an enormous center beam to hang everything off of. Every care was taken to make sure we were happy with the deck.They were a little late on the final clean up of materials in the yard, but nothing was in the way and it was not an issue for us. This company was on the upper end of the 4 estimates we got, but we definitely got our money's worth.

No problems! Wonderful attention to detail. Would highly recommend to anyone.

The deck was pretty much built in one day. (The neighbors were amazed). The screened porch took about a week. (This was back in January '07). These are very trustworthy professionals. I had no problem going to work and allowing them access to my home to connect to power source. My cats made a couple of new buddies.

Due to the fact that he is an independent contractor, his prices were cheaper then all the other quotes that I received. He did a great job and it didn't take him very long to get the work done. The only thing with Mike is he has a lot of clients so you need to book him in advance.
