Working with John King and the Magnolia Window crew could not have been a better experience. John came to my home for the initial visit; making the decision to go with his company was a no-brainer. Without any pressure to buy, he gave me a great price for a great product. My windows were installed on December 12 and I love them! They have improved the appearance of my home tremendously and have cut out the cold drafts and outside noise. The installation process was extremely efficient as were the workers. I couldn't be happier with this purchase.

It went well. John came out and explained the process and it happened as he said. The actual work took a day and the installers were friendly and professional.

Mr. King, and all the workers involved were very professional, and very adept. We live in a home built in 1950 that was in need of some slight exterior repair around one of the eave vents, and we were having to scrape and repair some area of our exterior siding every year or so. It did not make any difference how expensive the paint, or what brand, the result was the same. The job was completed on 11/20/2013, and we are so pleased with the new overall aesthetics of our home. Perfect! It was a large job and took an entire week. The workmanship is flawless. Everything looks amazing, and this gets our house to almost maintenance free on the exterior. The cost of material is what the cost of material is. What should guide your choice of provider is customer service and workmanship. You can't go wrong with this company!

The owner was professional, very accessible, friendly, patient and came on time - every time! He accommodated our every need. The install went very smoothly and the installers were kind and courteous. They were meticulous with the detail work - which I'm thankful for. They worked in the house on day one and remained outside the house to finish up on day two. After researching and getting quotes from others, we are so pleased with the value and quality of our windows!

From the first sales meeting to the final follow up meeting with the owner, John King, everything was accomplished in a very professional manner. The sales meeting was conducted with expertise and no pressure to buy. The measuring was done twice by two different individuals prior to ordering and all of the windows fit like a glove and look great. The installation team was very professional and knowledgeable as well as being respectful, courteous, and diligent. They did great work. All in all, I would absolutely recommend Magnolia Window and Door to anyone needing windows or siding or whatever service that they offer. We were more than satisfied with the performance of this company.

Excellent service from initial contact with John King to the installation of the windows. We replaced several wood windows that had been severely damaged by hail. John was able to exactly match the new windows to our existing windows. Installation went smoothly.

Our windows and doors have been installed, and they are wonderful! The installers exceeded our expectation. They arrived on the days/times they said they would, worked hard hard hard, cleaned up after themselves (what?!!?), and didn?t ever leave early. Ours was the only job they were working (that?s their policy). The only hiccup was that the opening for our front door had issues (it?s a 30+ year old home ? we could barely open and shut the original front door). So, they saved it for the last day, and about 3 of them spent all day (all day!) making it totally correct (and there was no extra charge for this additional effort). We?ve asked Mr. King to come back and quote additional projects at our home. You really need to call this company for your project(s). If they don?t answer, it?s because they are at my house!

EXCEEDED MY EXPECTATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Starting off with meeting John King all the way through to the work foreman Bob, the team at Magnolia did an outstanding job! I couldn't ask for a more honest and trusty worthy team of really good people that I could trust with the safety of my home and family. They scored a touchdown by doing quality deck work at a fair and reasonable price. I called around other companies and Magnolia was the most competitive, and I like competition. What did they do to win my Outstanding rating? Well they tore down my old deck which was an eyesore, and a safety hazard and handcrafted a beautiful quality deck that is like an Oasis in our back yard. The staircase looks phenomenal like something you would see Scarlet O'Hara from Gone with the Wind walking down. Truly elegant!!!! As for being rugged, safe, and sturdy they hit the target with a deck so strong you could play basketball on it. STRENGTH and BEAUTY at a price we could afford!! If you are in Knoxville look no further than Magnolia..... they will do you right! T

The siding crew came on time and did the job perfectly. The window replacement crew also came on exact scheduled time. We had to get 35 windows to be replaced and a big crew came so that they were able to do most of the inside work the very first day itself. They were very careful not bring dirt inside and also to make sure nothing falls on to the floor. They installed the windows very professionally . They also went out of their way to add some extra protection as per my suggestion at the base of the arch windows. This was was not in the contract. They finished the whole job in 4 days and cleaned up after the work.

From the first meeting with owner John King to the official "turning over of the keys," I have experienced truly outstanding service and professionalism. The weather was not on our side, but on the good days craftsmen started early and worked late to get the job completed. I love my beautiful room as do my 2 cats. I am so glad I chose Magnolia Window and Door to create my sunroom.

I decided not to have any work done with their company or another company, but I really like the owner, who was the one who did the estimate. He was very helpful. The quality of the estimate I feel was good.

John King is professional in conducting work in a reasonably timely manner. The work was performed by his team led by Rick and I have no doubt to say they are very well qualified and trustworthy (don't have to stay with time). The whole job was professionally completed including cleanup, which they did everyday end of the day. They also accommodate any request I had and went out of the way in helping little things not strictly related to the sunroom. The room was completed on time. I had a plumbing line that came into the room and later realized it is too expensive to move. Upon discussions with John on possible solutions he listened and worked with two plumbers to get it done in the right way with no extra cost! I really appreciated that quality to keep the customer happy, that even after the work was done and all payments are made :-). We have enjoyed the room for the last month and I find it structurally strong (touch, feel, look, and regular use-level), it had rained hard several times since and i spotted a very minor non-threatening small leak in a corner and Rick came down to reseal the whole area and no problems after that (it rained several times after resealing). Rick is like Superman or Macgyver, he can do everything and gave me several suggestions on the flooring (i did a laminate flooring myself after they are done) and blinds. John used an industrial quality heat pump-based HVAC that keeps the room cool to the correct temperature (i checked with an external sensor) and energy efficient. Given the whole thing is assembled by hand with so many windows and inserts it is amazing how air tight the whole room turned out to be. The inert gas filled window glass cuts the glare and keeps the room efficient. All in all I wished I called John a couple of years ago to do this room. Sunroom is a great addition to the house and definitely refreshed our house. John made sure he got all the city approvals for electricals etc. We have shopped around a bit for sunroom quotes but I think John is the best in price, quality, workmanship, and professionalism without a doubt for sunroom building in Knoxville as far as I'm concerned. I would recommend him and his team to anybody in a heartbeat. Update after six months: Just want to update the review after months of using the sunroom. The room holds perfect for all weather so far including some extreme rain in early summer. The AC John provided keeps perfect temperature even during hot summers and freezing weather so far. Months later one of the gardening folks shattered my glass door and John helped me immediately same day to find people to fix it (although he does not have to under warranty terms). Also my bank wanted a piece of letter from the contractor and John went out of the way to provide it although it is a redundant piece of document. The reason I mention these is to acknowledge that he still follows through after the build to iron out the details if needed. Now that is a contractor in my book considered rare.

We were very happy with Magnolia Windows & Doors/Farragut Sunrooms. We felt comfortable with John King, the owner, from the first time he called and came to give an estimate. We were pleasantly surprised with the cost for the sunroom. The crews (we had 2 separate crews -- one for the sunroom and one for the doors) were both excellent. They were punctual, professional and cleaned up at the end of the day. We were also impressed with the quality of the materials. The worker's attention to detail was what I admired most. They took pride in their work. I would highly recommend Magnolia Windows & Doors.

The job started when John said it was going to. The crew were very professional when they installed the windows. The crew cleaned up after the job was completed. John was very pleasant to work with.

John King, owner of Magnolia Window and Door was most responsive; he arrived on time for our intial appointment and provided a written quote later that evening. We toured the perimeter of the house and I discussed that nature of the repairs sought; John offerred suggestions and gave all appearances of being knowledgable in this business. I had previously visited Magnolia's website and read every review offered on Angie's List; I came away impressed with the company and the services provided. At the same time I solicited a quote from Magnolia, I had also contacted another contractor (also found via Angie's List). This company also had experience in the line of work I sought to have done on my house and their quote was competitive. In the end my decision was based on years of experience in the siding/gutter business: Magnolia had less than five, while the contractor chosen had 30+ years and was co-owned by a "second generation" family member (thus providing a sense of continuity in this business). I was also impressed with the thoroughness of this contractor's review; he was able to provide the exact services I requested (including the siding of the three gables at the peak of the roofs). I was conscious of the challenge faced by any contractor reagrding these gables; Magnolia suggested these simply be painted, but I was more interested in a truly "maintenance-free" option. Though John and I didn't discuss payment terms of the estimate, the contractor I chose stated I could make payment upon job completion and complete satisfaction with the work performed. A third contractor I had contacted required 50% down before beginning the work; also a lack of responsiveness led me to believe I might have communication issues while the work was being performed. As a final comment, I wasn't completely comfortable with comments made by Magnolia regarding their company in relation to other contractors. In their website videos, one may come away with the impression that many contractors have questionable business practices whereas Magnolia could be trusted. While I would agree that some contractors are less than trustworthy in products and practices, I would have preferred doing business with a company that could sell me on the quality of workmanship based on a history of actual work performed apart from comments made about other contrators. I would have rather viewed work completed by Magnolia than to hear about poor workmanship by nameless competitors. While Angie's List is helpful, I've already experienced some disappointments in providers recommended by its members. While viable, I'd suggest that Angie's List is one of several options one should consider in having service provided/work performed.

John was very professional and explained everything. Gary his installer did a great job. It was a 2 day project and the initial day 2 workers came and installed some of the windows. They did a fairly good job but the next day Gary and his other crew came and finished up the other crew's work and did the large windows. They were excellent and very professional. Would recommend them

This went extremely well!! Unfortunately, some other issues came up and we had to put our windows on hold for a while but, without a doubt, we will use Magnolia when the time comes!!! I was very happy with his professionalism and price!!

They did a good job. They are a very good company.

The process went well. This is our second time working with Magnolia Windows and we are again very pleased with the results. The new windows seem to clean up the look of the house and reduce energy costs. The installers were quick (installing 12 or so windows in 1 day) and they cleaned up after themselves.

Overall everything went according to plan. No issues with ordering windows or installation. Actually, it went surprisingly well. Usually in any type home project you are subject to problems. In this case we did not have any. John and I communicated very well as to what was expected and Gary, the installer, did a great job of installing the windows. John also worked with us to take advantage of the TVA energy savings program, that allowed us to receive $500 for installing the windows. I would recommend Magnolia Window and Door Co. and also use them again.
