Our house was built in the mid 1990's. Original siding was installed improperly (no water/vapor barrier and misaligned pieces). I got quotes from three companies and Magnolia was very competitive. The owner came out and was very thorough in explaining what was needed to complete the job. Install crew was very professional. I have three daughters who are home during the day and I would have no problem letting these guys work around them. After job was completed everything was cleaned up very well.

First thing we noticed was how quiet it is inside the house after the install. Wish we would have done this a few years ago. New windows look great. We almost didn't know the install crew was here doing the work. They were in and out. Would highly recommend Magnolia if you need new windows.

I got three quotes for replacement windows before selecting Magnolia for the work. They weren't the cheapest but I liked the product and quality of construction. Plus, the owner John King was very nice to deal with, being patient and helpful in answering all of our questions. He was the only salesperson from the companies we spoke to who showed a genuine willingness to work with us. He also informed us of the TVA EnergyRight program to make sure we applied for the $500 rebate which we did. This definitely helps towards the overall cost. We were also impressed with Magnolia Window & Door's excellent warranty program. Once we decided to use Magnolia we met him at his showroom on a Saturday morning to write up our contract. We were contacted later that afternoon by an employee, Gary, to set up an appointment to measure all of the windows. It worked out that he was able to come out the very next day to do this so our order was placed on Monday. The installation date was estimated to be 4 to 6 weeks out and it took all of that for our windows to be delivered. Apparently there was a backlog at the factory. We had the windows installed 2 weeks later but mostly due to my work schedule. The installation took 4 days, longer than I expected, but all windows and doors were sealed very well inside and out so I didn't mind. The Magnolia Window & Door installation crew were very professional, thorough, and did a great job. They too answered any questions I had about the installation and were very knowledgeable. They cleaned up every day before leaving as well as after all the work was done. We like the look of the new windows as it updates the look of our house inside and out. This was a good home improvement experience.

Customer service was excellent. Installation of high quality windows went exactly as planned. I would definitely recommend this company and use them again for any future renovations.

Magnolia Window and Door replaced an old inefficient aluminum frame 5' wide sliding glass door with one of their doors that is made by Alside. The owner, John King, responded by phone on the same day that I called his company. We talked approximately four or five times prior to the installation of the door, which involved him calling me to inform me of the status of the order. The door was estimated to be installed 3 to 5 weeks from the time his service manager came to measure the door. The door was installed during the 6th week from when the door measurements were taken. Part of the delay in getting the door was due to Alside closing for two weeks in the summer. John called me to inform me of the delay and reduced the cost of the door by $50. The door appears to be of good quality. What impressed me the most was how meticulous the Magnolia Window & Door installation crew (Brian & Dylan) were. The old frame was removed without any damage to the inside or outside of the house, and they cleaned up well after the work was done. Again, I was impressed with how well the replacement door fit, even though they did admit that my door frame was more square than most. As a bonus, Brian and Dylan were very friendly and respectful. Good experience overall.

John and his team are incredibly professional and fast. My wife and I interviewed 4 total companies for our window install, all of them found on Angie's list. We knew it was going to be a big job. We needed a company that had a great product, communicated well, we could trust in our home with our dog. John King took the time to meet with us at our house when we got off work and answered all our questions. I didn't get a "salesman" vibe from John. He just told us about his company and windows all straight talk, no BS. Our house was built in 1960 and still had all the original single pane aluminum frame windows. They weren't insulated at all and always seemed dirty. Now that everything is replaced our windows keep that horrible summer heat and humidity out of the house. They're also so much quieter than our old windows. With the prior single pane windows it sounded like we had no window. The nighttime bugs are crickets were loud, cars and planes sounded like they were traveling through the house, not anymore! The installation went smooth. The team had to do that delicate dance with mother nature. We had a rainy summer so that slowed down the outside work by a couple days. It's scary to see someone tear a window out of the wall of your house but after that window is installed and the edges are sealed and covered they look great. The only issue was that on the inside, the caulk was a bit too generously applied. We will have to repaint the inside sills next to the windows and scrape back the excess on our marble windowsills to make them look neat. Our favorite part of this job was the 2 windows in the front of our house. Instead of replacing them with 2 windows, John suggested we put one larger window in their place. This saved us money and gave us a gigantic window to enjoy. We plan on having some additional work in the coming years and we'll definitely reach out to John and team for a new door and new windows we want to cut into the house. We highly recommend Magnolia Window & Door Company.

John King, the owner of the business, came to our home to determine the scope of work and provide an estimate for the sunroom. He arrived on time and provided us with useful information about the options that were available. The sunroom was to be built under an existing two story deck which presented unique construction issues not associated with the building of a traditional sunroom on a slab or on top of a deck. We obtained 3 estimates and found that Magnolia's was slightly lower than one and significantly lower than the second. Additionally, the other proposals required a different contractor to complete an under-deck type of roof prior to construction of the sunroom or disassembly of the upper deck in order to complete the sunroom roof. Magnolia's proposal also included an HVAC system which made the sunroom a true 4 season structure. Magnolia finished the sunroom in two and one half weeks. Our total experience with John and his crew was outstanding. Gary, the construction supervisor, came to our home the first day and suggested a couple of design changes that created more space and made great use of the existing brick walls. Furthermore, these changes were completed without increasing the cost of the sunroom. Gary and Tracy, the second man on the construction crew, worked extremely hard each day, rarely taking breaks and even working on the Fourth of July to complete the sunroom. Wes, the electrician, worked tirelessly to make the electrical changes and run the conduit and line necessary to provide the 220v power to the HVAC system. He also installed two ceiling fans to make the sunroom more comfortable when the HVAC system was not needed. All in all, our experience with Magnolia was outstanding. John King and his crew were very professional in all of our dealings with them. I would not hesitate to recommend Magnolia to anyone. We feel that we received a high quality product at a very reasonable price. The sunroom is comfortable, quiet, and does not leak. It has definitely added to the ability to enjoy our home and is aesthetically a bonus.

Materials were dropped off at our home prior to construction & covered to protect from the elements. In a few days, the crew came to begin the removal of the screened porch (walls & door) and installation of the new sun room. The new sun room was approximately 7 feet longer than the existing screened porch - extending onto our deck. The Magnolia crew did a good job of fabricating the new structure to fit in the area provided. The installation was completed in a timely manner - just a few days. We were not required to be there except for the electrical installation (our distribution panel is inside the house). The electrician worked with us to get that portion just right. We had just a couple of small adjustments that needed to be made after completion, but Gary Miller came back to get those items addressed promptly. Our new sun room looks great.

First of all, John King is absolutely wonderful! We started our project last fall with new windows, with siding to be installed about a month later. Our house was a rental at the time and due to extremely uncooperative tenants, we had to put off the installation of the siding until we moved into the house in June. John helped us every step of the way during a frustrating time and provided solutions for us. Our siding was completed last week and it was definitely worth the wait! The installers were great - very professional and courteous. They arrived promptly each morning and they left everything neat and clean at the end of each day. My husband will drive contractors crazy. He is a perfectionist and is always checking on the quality of the work being done. A few hours into the first day, I was amazed that he happily went on about his own inside projects and left the installers alone. He was satisfied that they were experts. I though I would never see the day when he was 100% confident that the work was done correctly and confidently! I cannot recommend Magnolia highly enough. John King's word is as good as gold. He is completely trustworthy and puts his customers first. The new siding has already generated compliments from neighbors. With the quality windows and siding from Magnolia, we know we will love the look of our house for many years in the future.

I had my windows installed on June 5 & 6 and am really happy with the results. Throughout the process of getting the quote, the measuring for the windows and the installation of the windows, everyone I dealt with from Magnolia Windows and Doors knew what they were doing. I worked with John to get the quote, He listened to what I was wanting to do and gave me some tips on ways I could possibly save money. He did not try to pressure me into buying what I didn't ask for and gave me a straight quote. He gave me information about a way to get TVA to pick up some of the cost. Overall, the price was a good deal based on other quotes I obtained. Gary, who did the final measurements and scheduled the instation date, worked with me and was able to accomocate my work schedule and still get the windows installed as quickly as possible. The team who did the installation were curteous and polite. They cleaned as they went and did a great job on the windows. The windows look great. both inside and outside. I've had a number of neighbors, friends, and family comment on how good they look. And an added bonus is that they seemed to have helped sound proof my house. I no longer hear my neighbor's HVAC kick on and off. Overall, I'm happy I went with Magnolia Windows and Doors and would recommend them to anyone looking for replacement windows.

We were extremely pleased with Magnolia's service. John was very prompt and pleasant at the time of our estimate, and even followed up with a handwritten thank-you note. The note was a small gesture, but it showed an attention to detail that impressed us. This attention to detail was carried through to the very end of the project. Everything from the soffit, to the gutters, to the caulking around the windows were done with care and precision. We also appreciated the professionalism of Magnolia's workers. These poor men spent many hours with two chihuahuas barking at them through the glass...all without complaining. They also cleaned up after themselves very well, and even took an old awning of ours to dispose of. They tried to interfere as little as possible with our comings and goings, and were very accommodating. We would definitely recommend Magnolia. We met with several companies before making our decision on who to use for our replacement window project. John was great to work with from the beginning. He gave us an estimate during our first meeting, not making us wait days as other companies did. Also, made time to meet with us during our work day at the showroom to show us examples of the sliding doors. After discussing with him different configurations of replacement windows, he made suggestions we hadn't thought of. So glad we went with his suggestions on our front window and sliding door. They look great! The windows updated the look of our home as well as being more efficient than old windows. Installers were great to work with and easily accessible by phone to set up installation. After small unexpected delay for special order door, work was done quickly and professionally. We were especially pleased with the work they did on installing sliding door where there used to be only a double window. We would definitely use this company again.

from beginning to end an ideal process... john is informative but not pushy. we were able to place complex order with zero issues. installers were kind and kept work space neat. they left nothing undone. their work with the exterior flashing was excellent. this is the second time i have used this company to replace windows in my home and again it was fantastic. we plan on utilizing thier services to finish the rest of the windows in our home.

After having several in home consultations that left us feeling more and more uneasy about our window project, we finally had Magnolia Window come by. John, the owner, came out and did our estimate. He has a great product at a great price with the best warranty we saw, and we felt comfortable having him in our home. We were also happy to go with a local business. Magnolia Window may be a relatively young company, but they have made it through some tough times for the construction and renovation industries, and now we know why. Windows came in quickly and exactly as ordered. We went with a different (perimeter) grid pattern in our double hung windows and had trouble finding a half round grid pattern to match. However, the manufacturer, when they received our order, took the extra step of calling us to say they had a grid pattern which wasn't in the catalog that would match and would we like to change our order. Would have been easier for him to just fulfill the order as it was, but he got us exactly what we were looking for instead. The installers were great as well. Scheduling was easy, they were on time, friendly, and installation went quickly. The windows and house were clean when they left. One screen was torn during shipping or installation and it was already replaced before they left. We couldn't be happier with the look and operation of our windows, as well as the service we received from initial consultation to ordering, manufacture, and installation. This project replaced all of our main floor windows and we will definitely have Magnolia back to replace our remaining basement windows and sliding glass door in the future. We highly recommend Magnolia Window and Door.

Installation was incredibly fast and everyone in the crew courteous and professional. The installation was flawless and the clean up meticulous. If I hadn't seen them - I would never have know they were there except for the amazing transformation to my home.

We contacted them on Feb 23, 2014 via Angie's List to inquire about having our existing deck rebuilt and also wanted to inquire about screening in our patio. Have not received any response to date, as of March 8, 2014. We have hired another company. Disappointed as their reviews are great.

Good quality install, crew very knowledgeable and professional. Good follow up from business owner as well, before, during, and after purchase and install. I was having trouble with my garage door. The sales rep came out the next day and when I said I wasn't interested in an upgrade he barely tried to pressure me. The installers were very professional and easy to work with.

onWe had a unique situation in that our house that needed windows was in Kingston and we live in Colorado. I contacted Magnolia's office and within the hour, John King, the owner, returned my call. We discussed what was needed and the options available. Shortly after our initial contact, we were able to visit relatives during a vacation and went to Knoxville to meet with John. We were immediately impressed with his friendly professionalism and his thorough knowledge of his products. Weasked for him to prepare several different estimates with different options and he did with no complaint. After we returned to Colorado andwere ready to decide on a contractor, Magnolia was clearly the best choice for quality, price, and warranty. Even though we knew we were selecting Magnolia based on our impression of John, my husband is quite a perfectionist and has to have lots of details before he lays down a substantial amount of money. There were many more phone calls to John, who always made us feel comfortable, even though I knew it was a hardship for him to spend literally hours all tolled on the phone with my husband. He was always patient and helpful. We finally agreed on everything and signed the contract. The windows were installed on the scheduled days and the work was outstanding! We had ordered two custom designed windows and when installed they were stunning! The crew was great and meticulous about cleaning up afterwards. The work was done as promised, when promised, and we are extremely pleased with the results. We are also using Magnolia for our siding and will be reviewing that project. I am sure it will be as amazing as our windows since John has already helped us with many hurdles getting ready for the siding. If you are considering windows, siding, or a sunroom for your house, I highly recommend John King and Magnolia. You will not find anyone more willing to work to your specifications and provide the best quality productions. We will never use anyone else!

They did great work. They were friendly and clean.

.The initial contact with the company was very positive. We had other bids given to us by other companies, but we liked the professionalism of this contractor. Even though his price wasn't the lowest, we felt he would do what he said. The gutters and siding were completed very quickly. I should add here that even though there were a couple of surprises for the contractors as they worked, they honored the original contract and stuck to the price quoted, even though they probably could have gotten away with asking for a bit more. We were very pleased with the finished product. The windows had to be ordered, so as expected, it took several weeks before we had them installed. We were surprised that it took as long as it did before the windows arrived, but we were in the holiday season, so I'm sure there were delays caused by usual "holiday" backups. The weather wasn't the most cooperative either. Once the windows were received from the manufacturer, and the company was able to get an appointment set, the window portion of the project was able to be completed in one day. The crew was so friendly and clean. The windows look beautiful, and there wasn't a speck of dust left behind for me to clean up. The home where these fixes were being done is over 100 years old. Over the years we've done several remodels on different portions of the house and have had many different contractors come and go as we gradually have been turning this house into a nice place to live. This company and their crews were by far the easiest and most pleasant group we've had the pleasure of doing business with.

They came out and measured all the windows and placed the order. It took about 3-4 weeks to get them in. The installation crew came out and installed all within a few days. The house is 87 years old and the outstanding work helped to breathe life into the house. The windows were all enclosed and sealed. The finished product looks great.

Overall we have been very happy with this company and our new sunroom. It looks very nice and I think they did a good job in particular getting the sunroom symmetrical and level since the existing porch was constructed approx 1943. The crews came on days they said they were coming, which is a great improvement over the company that did our windows, but starting hours tended to vary. They worked very hard to get the job completed quickly, especially after seeing that the construction was making life with our outdoor dog kinda stressful. That was very much appreciated. The only small complaint is clean-up could have been better. There were leaves on the ground making it more difficult, but too many nails and small (one to five inches) pieces of metal were left in the backyard that our dog has had a field-day with, because he loves to pick up and chew on everything! I cut my hand prying metal out of his mouth :-/ Pricing for the sunroom was pretty close to two other quotes from competitors. We chose Magnolia because we liked John and they have the best warranty on their work. Everyone we have dealt with has been very friendly and professional, and returns phone calls within hours.
