The crew to install it were amazing. They were very professional and friendly. It was a two day job. They ensured that the entire job was done to satisfaction, and I'm very happy to have used this company.

The entire experience was great. The owner, John King, was very prompt in responding to our request for a quote and came out a few days later. He spent time measuring all of our windows and listened to the details of the other projects that we needed done then provided a quote before he left. The price was very reasonable and, after getting other quotes to compare, we went with Magnolia based on both his professionalism and obvious experience and his competitive quote. Next, Gary, the supervisor for their construction crew, contacted us and came out to make final measurements on all the windows and the door so that he could make the final order. We were told it would be around 4 weeks for manufacturing and delivery and our windows were delivered about 4 weeks later directly to our home. Once they were delivered, we scheduled a time with Gary for his crew to come out for installation. The crew arrived promptly on the scheduled day and the promised time. They had 5-6 crew members that began work immediately. They were very efficient and all of our windows were in place surprisingly quickly. This was not a simple undertaking either as our has had the original aluminum windows from the 1960s which were difficult to remove and took some extra work. Once all of the windows were in place, they got to the detail work, which was equally as impressive. We had one window that was installed by another crew that is renovating our bathroom and a couple windows which are not the same height as the others- they worked hard to make all of the windows and trimwork match- and the end result is great! The windows are beautiful and obviously high quality and the finishing work was done with great care, They also very carefully matched the existing siding (which was of 2 different materials) to repair where our old air conditioners were. Lastly, they cut and installed a new sliding door and built an 8x4 foot landing with stairs to accommodate it. Everything turned out beautifully- they even did extra work so that the railing would be in my preferred style. The entire installation and construction project took 4 days- the crew worked non-stop during that time and Gary stayed past 7pm every night to finish the project. We couldn't be more pleased with how everything turned out and would certainly recommend Magnolia. Their windows and doors are of the highest quality and they do great work.

The good news is that I was very happy with the quality of the work and the price. I did not price shop because the owner did not provide a detailed breakdown which is understandable...no fault there. I would have been very, very happy if the work had been completed a month earlier. Admtittedly, some of the delay was out due to weather and errors on the part of the window/door supplier; i.e, didn[t deliver when promised and sent wrong materials. But some was due clearly to my project receiving lower priority than others. I was out of town on travel at the time and it seemed to me that fact put me on a lower place in the schedule. At any rate, I would recommend this company but if you have to have the work done by a certain date, I would negotiate that up front. The delay is why I gave them a "B" rather than "A" overall

We recently bought replacement windows for our home from Magnolia Window & Door Company. We are very pleased with the outcome. The new windows are so much better than those installed when the house was built in 2003. Comfort in the home is improved, the furnace runs less often, and there are no areas that feel drafty. The amazing thing is how much quieter the house is now. I didn’t realize how much outside noise was penetrating into the house until it was much reduced. I no longer hear cars passing by on the street, wind noise is less, and the house is much quieter when sleeping at night. The process is very efficient. John King came to our home to survey the number and size of our windows and made an estimate on the spot. He invited me out to the store where they display their various products so that I could see examples. It was very helpful to me to see the products up close and I signed a contract in the store. The windows were fabricated and delivered in about four weeks and the installation was scheduled. The installation was conducted very efficiently. A crew of five or six workers arrived with all the tools necessary for the work. The windows were all installed in one day. One of the installations involved removing a door/window arrangement and replacing it with all windows. This was considerably more intrusive than a standard replacement. It was also accomplished in the same day and turned out great. Final installation details were achieved in a few hours on the second day. And the best thing? It is very affordable! I was pleasantly surprised at how much less the estimate was compared to previous estimates from other companies. Doing business with John is easy. You can tell he really enjoys delivering a quality product for a great price.

The folks at Magnolia Window and Door certainly know their business! We hired them to construct a sunroom, and we were very impressed with all aspects of the experience. The owner of the company (John) made multiple visits to our home to discuss the plans, the costs, and to help us envision how the sunroom would integrate with our house. John offered detailed explanations that helped us truly understand what was involved, and his answers to our numerous questions supplied us with the confidence to proceed with this project. We were equally impressed with the knowledge and professionalism of the staff (especially Gary) who constructed the sunroom, and throughout the project there were many reminders that we had made an excellent decision. The finished room is amazing, and we feel that our sunroom has both enriched our daily lives and added value to our home. Additionally, the entire staff was patient, attentive to our needs, and genuinely interested in making sure that we were very satisfied. We highly recommend them.

We have been very pleased with Magnolia Window Company. We had four window companies give us estimates on replacing ten windows on our home. We choose Magnolia - and we're happy we did. Mr. King's estimates were clear and competitive. Beyond the perceived window quality, one of the primary reasons we choose Magnolia was because of their professional installers. Many window companies do not have their own installers, instead the work is contracted out which fragments the process and diffuses accountability. Mr. King's installers were wonderful! They were on time, courteous and efficient. We had previously replaced three other windows and can attest that Magnolia's installers were superior. I was not looking forward to the installation day, but can now say that the installers made the day pleasurable. The new windows look great, are easy to operate (!!!) and we are enjoying the full screen style. Magnolia's windows have been a huge upgrade to our home. Looking ahead, we have four more windows that need to be replaced and we're contracting Magnolia to handle those as well.

We needed to replace the windows in our 35 year old home. We obtained five estimates in total: two from companies based on personal recommendations, two based on Angie's List ratings, and one based solely on the company advertising a low price. Four of the estimates were within a few hundred dollars of each other, and one of the estimates was WAY higher than everyone else. John King, the owner of Magnolia Windows, came out to do our estimate personally. He was very professional and courteous. Magnolia Windows gave us the second-highest estimate, but we chose to use them based on John's honesty, professionalism, the Angie's list ratings, and Magnolia's warranty. The new windows were delivered to our home in the early part of the time frame that John said it would take. On installation day, the first member of the crew arrived right on time and began preparing the existing windows for removal. The rest of the crew arrived a short while later. They were able to remove all of our home's windows and finish the installation of the new windows in the same day. The new windows look great and work the way they are supposed to. The installation crew was friendly and professional. The ONLY complaint, if you can call it that, is that a piece of trash was left behind by one of the installation crew. Yep, just one piece of trash! I would not hesitate to recommend John and Magnolia Windows to my friends and co-workers, and will use them again if I need any more windows replaced in the future.

I was very impressed to have Mr. John King, the owner, respond to my phone message requesting service. He was very pleasant and arranged for his employee, Gary Miller, to perform the replacement of three windows. Mr. Miller ensured that accurate measurements and photos were taken so the windows would be a perfect fit. When the windows were available Mr. Miller and his assistants came back to our home and installed them. Mr. Miller and his team were very professional and did a wonderful job installing the windows. They also made sure the job site was left clean and took the crating the windows had arrived in with them. I would highly recommend Magnolia Window and Door Company and would definitely use them again.

If my windows cannot be repaired, I will definitely be calling John back for their replacement.

This was my first experience with Magnolia door and window company. A different company did several ground floor windows and doors for us, but when I contacted them for the floor to ceiling window wall in our living room and a small bedroom window, they gave an estimate for the rest of the work but would not do the high extended half moon window in the living room. Magnolia's price was slightly higher for the part the other company would do, but we went with them because they would do all the work we needed. I want to stress that this was not an easy job, requiring interior scaffolding and multiple exterior ladders, which other contractors didn't want to tackle. The glitches we experienced were all small, and are listed here. My initial calls to the number on Magnolia's web page were answered by a secretary or receptionist, but it took a few days and another call to make contact with John, the owner (Apparently it is better to use the number from the Angie's listing.) It took a little longer than expected for the windows to come from the manufacturer (Alside), which I attribute to the large nonstandard window; again, nothing out of the ordinary. Lastly, the installation crew doesn't clean the windows after installation, though they made an exception for me on the third-story window when I asked them to. The installation itself was smooth, taking two days. The crew arrived promptly, worked steadily, were quiet, polite, organized, stayed on task, put down mats to protect our hardwood floors and cleaned up when they were done. The finished windows have improved the look of our living room, and the exterior aluminum trim gives nice, clean lines. They didn't nick or gouge the interior trim, and the caulking outside is neat and tidy. There were no surprises on the final price, we have a written guarantee, and John is helping us collect the TVA energy bonus/incentive. All in all, we received a low-hassle, professional job and are quite satisfied. We would definitely use them again, and will be talking to them about replacing our decks.

We have always had a good experience with this company. However this last time John agreed to allow us to make payments for the last part of our final project. The mail has been late on his end so now he has resulted in name calling...how grown up and professional...NOT!! It's really a shame when you think about how nice we've been on these reviews. We were also told by John King himself that another customer had written him a bad check and really put him in a bind. Aren't business owners supposed to have money to run the business to begin with?! Needless to say, it's a juvenile act, to make someone pay for anothers mistake.

My wife called the supplier a number of times with no reply or call back. Unfortunate because we needed help with a cracked window and utlimately will/have had doors and windows replaced. I guess this supplier is not interested in Oak Ridge business. This is certainly our impression.

From meeting with John for an estimate to the completion of the job, everything went well. Everyone I interacted with was kind and professional. They cleaned up the job site before leaving each day and just did a great job with everything. The price was great - much less than competitors. The new deck looks great and is so much sturdier than the old one. It'll last forever!

We had our existing, old windows removed and a brand new 8' sliding glass door installed. This was our 3rd time using Magnolia Windows and Door Company. We are so thoroughly impressed with the contractors that this company uses! Today is Saturday, not to mention Memorial Day weekend, and these guys showed up this morning at 9:15 am, to make sure this project will be finished on time for our son's birthday on the 27th, as this is the last window that needed to be replaced on our whole house. Today's crew consists of Chris, Dylan, Bill and Tracy. They are all professionals and perfectionists! Just what we've come to expect from John King and his company. We are no stranger to Magnolia Windows and Door Company. John King, the owner is so easy to deal with, he feels like a friend. We had his company install our windows for our house this past September. This time, we hired them to build a 16' x 32' pressure treated deck for us. There was no existing deck to tear out, so it was pretty cut and dry. Our builders were Mick and Chris. These 2 guys were super detail oriented! They took their time and never over looked the smallest of details! Very meticulous. In 90* weather, with absolutely no shade whatsoever. Our deck is the envy of our entire neighborhood! I don't know how John manages to keep getting the best contractors, but whatever he's doing, it works! This was our second time using his company, and we will use him a third time to have an upper sliding glass door installed for our deck. I'll let you know how that project turns out. We, of course expect nothing but awesomeness!

Love this company and our windows!! We have a 1950s house that still had the original windows in it. Our KUB bill was outrageous! The drafts in the winter and heat in the summer that came through those windows was ridiculous. We had been doing our homework of reading other window companies reviews and getting quote after quote. After meeting with John King, who by the way is also the owner, we knew Magnolia Windows and Door Company would be getting our business. It took some time to get our windows made and shipped to us, but they were all (13), custom made. Then, let's talk about the installers...we had Brian and Dylan. Talk about super good at what they do! These 2 guys impressed us so much with the time they took to make sure everything was done exactly to our liking, and their knowledge of the job they were doing. We will most definitely be using this company again! Can't brag on them enough!!

Excellent from start to finish. The consultation/quote was quick but thorough. No high pressure sales tactics, no "this price is only good if you order today", no case full of gizmos to demo. (I had sat through a 2.5 hour, excruciating sales "show" with another company just to get a quote!) I was happily surprised that the quoted price was one of the lowest ones I received. John made some great suggestions, including some that actually saved me money, like telling me that some work I expected wouldn't be necessary. He was also flexible with how many windows I wanted to do at a time (I wanted to space out the work for budget reasons). The measurements were quick and accurate. I thought I would have to wait 5 or 6 weeks for the windows to be manufactured and installed, but it turned out to be about half that which was another happy surprise. Installation was very fast, thorough, and professional. They cleaned up everything, the workmanship seems superb, and the windows look great. John even walked me through the process to get a TVA rebate. I was very happy and look forward to Magnolia doing the remainder of my windows that need replacing. My only small complaint is that they expect payment in check or cash. I can't imagine that many people have up to tens of thousands of dollars sitting available in a checking account. I explained that I would have to use a credit card for most of the cost. John mentioned something about the processing fee they get charged for accepting credit but said we'd work something out. It may have been a misunderstanding on my part, but I was taken by surprise to see a 4% increase in my bill to offset this processing fee. To his credit (no pun intended), when I asked about this addition and said it was unexpected, John immediately offered to credit me that amount on my next purchase, even though he didn't have to. This is the type of thing that wins repeat business rather than one-and-done. I would like to humbly make a suggestion, though. Almost all businesses accept credit cards, especially those whose typical order is in the thousands of dollars. Those that don't risk losing the business of those who aren't sitting on piles of cash, and my guess is that being credit card friendly would entice enough extra business to more than offset the fees. Therefore, if you must pass along the cost of these fees, structure it the other way around: give a quoted price, then offer a 3% or 4% discount for cash. It's basically the same thing, but this way the customers who can pay cash are extra happy about their "discount", and those that can't don't feel like they're getting an unanticipated surcharge. Everyone loves discounts, and everyone hates surcharges! Use that fact advantageously, or simply accept credit processing fees as a cost of doing business.

I was pleased with the progress of the job. Some delays due to weather that couldn't be helped, but once they got started they stayed with the job until completed. Mick and Chris were great to work with. They showed up when they said they'd be there. Each day before leaving, they cleaned up the area where they were working and placed things so the area didn't look cluttered with construction materials. Mick gave me suggestions for better placement of the air conditioner. I asked Mick if a few minor changes could be made to the deck railing and ceiling below the sunroom. He was very accommodating and was able to do the changes I had requested. Their workmanship and attention to detail was great. Again upon completion of the project, the work area was cleaned to my satisfaction. We are very happy with the final result of the sunroom and deck. We look forward to enjoying summer days and nights enjoying the mountain views, sunsets and the birds from our sunroom and deck.

The workers from the company removed the old windows promptly and hauled away the debris. The new replacement windows were installed promptly (over 1-2 days) and installed well, especially considering the age of the home. We were living in the home at the time and the workers were professional and cleaned up afterward. The windows were of high quality and were a competitive price. There was a little indoor drywall/plaster cracking after the windows were installed.

It was easy to make an appointment with John King, the owner. He arrived promptly and didn't waste my time with an extensive sales pitch. I told him I wanted the most energy efficient option, he took measurements, then provided a quote. After I decided to go with Magnolia, Gary came out to take more precise measurements. Six weeks later the door and windows were installed. Chris and Dillon did the installation. Both were friendly and professional. I am delighted with the quality of the products and will definitely use Magnolia when I am ready to do the upstairs windows.

They did a good job installing it. It took about 2 months to get the windows ordered and we had to keep calling them. I was not happy with the look of one of the bay windows. The installers were professional, nice, and cleaned up after themselves.

Researching replacement windows can be stressful and overwhelming. There are many brands and companies competing for your business with varied products and quality. We narrowed our search to three vendors and received quotes from each. Admittedly two of the three were on Angie's list and one was not. One of those on Angie's List was Magnolia Window and Door and we contacted them last. John King came to our home and after hearing about our project, he very professionally described his replacement windows and services. John was very patient, answering the many questions we had for him which resulted from our dealings with the first two vendors. John even informed us and explained the TVA EnergyRight rebate program, that replacement windows would qualify for. After receiving the quote from John, we compared products and prices of all the quotes and decided to visit Magnolia's showroom to see the actual windows. Once we saw how well the windows were constructed, our choice was made. We were soon contacted by Gary who arranged to come by our house and measure all the windows. Installation was scheduled for 5-6 weeks but was delayed, additionally, by the factory being closed for two weeks during the summer. While we were disappointed in the delay, when the installation did take place, we could not have been any more pleased with the guys who did the work. We had been advised that installation was as key to replacement windows as the product itself. Brian and Dylan could not have been better. Their efforts to make sure each window was installed properly was very evident. When work was complete each day, they did a great job of cleaning up before leaving. The guys were very friendly and helpful, answering any questions. The windows look great and have enhanced the curb appeal of our home. We have received compliments from family and neighbors. We would recommend Magnolia Window and Door to anyone needing new windows.
