Lowe's was supposed to haul off a five-day-old defective refrigerator and deliver a replacement today, Nov. 17, but that didn't happen. Tonie Johnson called at 7:41 a.m. today and said he would be at our house around 10 a.m. When he hadn't arrived by 11:15 a.m., I called and he said he was delayed but expected to be here around 1 p.m. I gave him my cell phone number and told him I would not be home but would be just a few minutes away. I specifically asked him to call my cell phone. He said he would call when he arrived at the delivery before ours, but he didn't. Instead, he showed up at our house before 1 p.m., three hours after his initial estimate. When I came home at 1:15 p.m., there was a message on my home answering machine stating that he was here at 12:44 p.m. and no one was here so he promptly left. The dispatcher told me he called my cell number and texted, but that is simply untrue. I had my cell phone with me the entire time and there was not a text or a missed call. The dispatcher said I would have to reschedule because he would not deliver the replacement refrigerator today. I also found the store employees and management at store No. 0486, 210 N. Peters Road, Knoxville, Tenn. 37923 to be incredibly rude and unresponsive. Needless to say, I'm done with this particular Lowe's store at least, which has to be the worst Lowe's in the region. I'll be returning the defective refrigerator and going elsewhere to buy a new one. Our experiences with this particular store have typically been awful, but it is located just a few miles away so we sometimes roll the dice and hope for the best.
Description of Work: I purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator on Nov. 10, 2018. It was delivered Nov. 11 but proved to be defective and Lowe's No. 0486 at 210 N. Peters Road, Knoxville, Tenn., doesn't seem to care.
