From start to finish totally professional. Quality was great and crews were timely and respectful of our property. A fabulous experience.

I called the office, and was contacted by Brandon a few hours later. We made arrangements for him to come out and do an estimate the next day. When he was detained by another job, he called to let me know he was sending Travis is his place, and Travis arrived at the scheduled time. He was very nice and very professional and gave me an estimate in less than 30 minutes. When I asked how long before I could schedule them to put on the new roof, he said they could do it at the end of the week! I I called the following week to schedule a time with them, and Travis came out a few days later so I could choose my roofing shingles. They were delivered within 2 days, and the dumpster the day after that. The crew arrived at 11am on a Thursday, worked until 8pm. Travis called me to let me know about the wood that would need to be replaced and the cost. The crew returned the following day at 8am and finished up around 4. The clean up was very thorough - I only found a few pieces of my old roof when I mowed the lawn later that week. In all, the company was prompt, polite and helpful through every step. I would use them again and recommend them to others.

We have been nice and patient. They fixed a few things but they still have things to finish. They did my concrete pouring, it cracked, after a long battle, they came back an re-poured, only to have it crack again, with no fix. We had problems with the siding. We found that there was a termite problem underneath the siding. We had to find termite remediation contractors. We fixed this and now we want them to come back and finish fixing the siding. He agreed to fix it last year, sent someone to fix but we had to mitigate the termites before it could be fixed. Now, they won't call us back. The owner was very professional. The crew was not. They left an incredible mess on my property during the job. I even have pictures. I complained, the owner came and cleaned my property.

They were exceptionally good. They did a really good job and I was satisfied with their work. The guy who came was very honest and the craftsmanship was very good. They did it in a very timely manner and the product really looked good when they got through with it. As a matter of fact, the bill was about $800 and I gave them a check for a thousand.

The person came on a very hot day. Clean the roof and did some caulking. Took some pictures, that he showed me about things needed to be fixed. It did not take very long.

Overall work was completed in orderly manner and they were paid promptly. We had a friend oversee the work as my husband and I were working during the installation. Problem arose when we were ready to install windows in the rest of the house. We could never get them to respond with a quote despite repeated calls. Eventually we gave up.

They were FANTASTIC! It was really convenient that we were able to get one general contractor to employ for every job we needed. They were able to schedule someone for all the subcontract work. We were happy to be able to get one estimate for all of these jobs! They were very nice, personable and answered all of our questions promptly. They would get an A++ in customer service!

Did a great job. Fast and efficient.

Basically, they really did not do anything. I would not recommend them. They were nice and professional enough. They were to inspect and I thought they were supposed to fix shingles. They did not fix one of them; it was obvious that it was drooping down. It was not very good but they did come out promptly.

We purchased the roofing inspection and maintenance through Angie's List back in the summer. Homestead Construction contacted me immediately, but I deferred the service for quite a while (for various reasons). When I decided to have the service done, it was rather hard to get it scheduled. I kept calling the office and they said "we will have the right person call you", which then wouldn't happen. I finally got the right number and called the person performing the service and he came right out. That interaction could have been handled a lot better. Once I got in touch with the service person, the experience was great. The service person came out when he said he would. He listened to the areas I was concerned about, looked over the roof, did some sealing where needed, and reattached a loose shingle. He was prompt, courteous, efficient, and professional.

Inspector showed up at the appointed time and was here for about an hour.

I lost track of the number of times I called to arrange for a worker named "Chris" to come to my lake house - I had already agreed with the company to pay $25 extra since the location was out of their normal service area. I told him since I would be out of town that he could come, clean the roof, take pictures, and give me an estimate - I had two areas that I needed to have fixed and he said he wrote it all down. I called every couple of weeks and it was always the next day, or the upcoming Monday if I called at the end of the week. About 2 1/2 weeks ago I arranged for him to come to the house since my wife and a friend would be there - never showed up. He told me later that a helper had locked his keys in his truck and it took him all day for someone to come get them so he could get another set of keys. This past Friday (8/24) I called and asked if he had ever come to my house - he told me he had been twice, but it rained both times and he could not do anything (kind of dumb to drive all the way to my house if it was going to rain). Anyway he asked if someone would be at the house Saturday and I said I would. He said that he would be there about noon (had to have a starter put in his truck which was promised to him no later than 10:00 AM). At noon I got a call from him on my cell phone and he said he was just leaving Knoxville and would see me shortly - we were out on the lake boating, so we cut our trip short and came back to the house. At 2:30 I had not heard from him, so I called - he said he had come to Kingston and told me he had the wrong address. (If he had been there twice before, how could he have the wrong address or not know where the house was?). He said he tried to call me and then spent an hour at McDonalds in Kingston trying to contact me - my phone never rang nor the caller ID indicate he called although he had managed to reach me at noon on the lake miles from our lake house. He said he was already back in Knoxville, and it looked like he could make it down sometime on Monday - at this point I told him he would not be coming to my house and I would find someone else. Just how in the world did this company end up on Angie's List to begin with?

The representative was very professional and on time. He went about his business and told us if we had any problems to call him.. I would call him again if I had a problem.

Chris was great. He was actually able to come an hour earlier than originally planned. Chris did a thorough inspection of my roof and then showed me pictures (which he will send to me) of issues and areas that he repaired. I feel Chris was very efficient and did a great job.

thought this would go well because I received a phone call almost immediately from the roofer about the deal I had purchased for a roof inspection. we scheduled the appointment for wednesday at 10:00 am. the roofer never showed. I can assume it was due to rain, however, I didn't even get a phone call saying he wouldn't be here. I'm not happy. seemed to have wasted my morning for nothing.

The estimate was fair. The gentlemen didn't show up a couple of times.

Everything went just as it should have from the time I left a message to be called until the crew finished cleaning the construction debris in my yard. No hesitation in calling them again if needed.

Contracted for the work on 9/6/11. I picked out the roofing and informed the company of my choice. The roofers came in November and finished the roof in 3 days. The siding folks came in December and the guttering was installed in January along with the gutter guard. The siding fellows had to remove the upper shutters and replace them but lost 2 screws and 3 screw caps. They said they would be back the next day to fix that and they never showed up again. When I received the bill for the work done I had been charged what I contracted for but I guess the company had no idea that all of the siding wasn't replaced and the shutter issue was still hanging un-completed. I called the company and sent an email and received a call from Travis and he came and looked the situation over today, 2/10/12 and has promised to correct the shutter issue. I told him as soon as it was fixed I would send the check in for the work. It just seemed that the siding crew that came had no clear direction as to what they were to do as I had to ask them to replace the siding on the porch which they only replaced half of it and also the fascia which they had not planned to do. I have used this contractor twice before for siding, shutters and a double french door replacing a sliding door and was always pleased with their work. Their quality of work is by far the best in comparison with other companies. It could be that they are and have been overwhelmed with the amount of work since the hailstorm in April 2011. I am sure this will be finished in the next week.

We called the sales manager's cell phone in mid-September to have him come by to confirm the siding/gutter quote and job scope, and he politely indicated he was going to be in our area the next day and would come by to see us. However, he never showed up, nor did he call. The next day we then called the office and spoke to the receptionist who took our name, address and phone number. She then indicated that the sales manager who did the original quote would return my call --- but it would take about a week for him to do so!!! A week's wait to return a phone call to ask to get on the schedule??!! We nonetheless waited a week to hear from him, and then another full week at which point I called them again. THe receptionist apologized and said she'd have the manager call as soon as he could. We never heard from him or her again. After this last exchange and lack of response from Homestead, we decided to hire another contractor. We never have heard back from Homestead three months later.

They were very professional. We are waiting on our insurance company to let us know what the final decision will be.

Work was done professionally, and in a Timely manner. This was an Outstanding experience particularly at a time when hundreds of homes in Knoxville area were in need of repair. John Schneider (Homestead Construction) was definitely a hands on contractor, and followed up regularly with work progress on the home. We would not hesitate to recommend his company to anyone needing this type of service.

This was a great experience. They worked until 8 PM the first day and finished the job in 2 days. It really made the house look so much better. The porch was not finished (I think they just forgot about it) and I called them back and they came right back and finished it. If your soffit and facia are wooden and need painting and new wood I would highly recommend capping with no fuss, no muss, much better looking, and no maintenance vinyl
