HEP was contacted to request a quote on removing and replacing a roof. The estimator was slow to respond, difficult to communicate with, and provided the highest price of all contractors contacted. The estimator acted uninterested in earning the project. I will never again call HEP.

great. checked both units electrically and for proper function, heat and cold. first unit was gas and it was checked for proper ignition and burn and freon on the cooling side. air handlers were checked for proper function and for air flow and temperature. second unit was a heat pump and it was checked, not only heat side for proper temps but the freon on the cooling side. Checked inside to make sure the thermostat was operating properly. Then checked the duct-work and vents to make sure proper air flow and temperature of the air.

The technician was very couteous and professional. He was efficient and performed his job with professionalism.

The HEP technician eventually determined that we had "leaking coils" that were freezing up. He said it would cost either $1800 if the coils were under warranty, or $3200 if they were not under warranty. A few minutes later, he advised that the coils were "not Trane parts", and were therefor not under warranty. He left Us with a proposal for $3200 in repairs. Ten minutes later, we had another company look at our furnace and outside air unit. The second company completed a refrigerant leak check, and found no leaks. He then cleaned the condenser coil and added 3 pounds of refrigerant. The total cost of the work completed by the second company was $272.34. I waited over a week to make sure that the repairs completed by the second company were not just a quick, temporary fix. Everything seems to be in good working order. I contacted HEP today to request a refund of the $68 trip fee they charged to provide the estimate for $3200 worth of work that we apparently did not really need.

They were friendly - and asked why I had never used HEP before - and I said my usual plumber (another review for another time) had been out to fix my hot water heater THREE TIMES and it was still messed up so I thought I would try a different provider. He asked to see my hot water heater - and from there it was "game on" - I was given the hard sell of I really needed to switch to a tankless system. That would be nice - but I didn't have $3600 to do it. They went outside and came back in and said if I bought the tankless - they would throw in today's services - AND knock the price down to $3200. I was overwhelmed - and told them my husband and I needed time to think - then I was charged $323 for 30 minutes of work at the most! The kitchen faucet just needed tightend (I felt dumb about that one), the tub needed a plastic part about the size of an egg; and the bathroom faucet just need "blown out". NOw then - here's the kicker - the tub faucet only gives luke warm water now - the knob no longer turns to hot; and the bathroom sink faucet they cleaned out runs non-stop so I had to shut it off completely. when I called to complain - the gal sighed.......like teenagers do......I'm the one who should get to sigh!!! does anyone know a good plumber?? ** UPDATE: HEP sent a very nice technician back six days after the original visit; he was very professional and fixed the two items mentioned above that the first HEP employee did not fix; and so far - they are working! yeah! hot showers again! My only remaining gripe is the price - I thought they were way to high for the service provided. I really had my hopes up when I read other reviews and saw $175 for a complete toilet installation AND plumbing check of whole house. That's a bargain. $353 for a plastic part and 30 minutes work is too high......At the end of the day - my plumbing problems are fixed. I just want to find that plumber out there who wants to make a living and not a killing.....

When I called to schedule an appointment, the ladies in the office were friendly and courteous, they helped me find a time that was convenient and worked around my schedule to make the appointment. Jon, the plumber that came to our house, was professional and courteous. He explained what needed to done, gave an exact quote and completed the work quickly and correctly. I continued on my work day and he let me know when he was finished. Have had other work done by same company, and always been pleased. Will be scheduling some of their other services soon based on this and previous experience PS: I will never let those "Happy Hiller" people in my house again -- that was the worst experience I have ever had with any type of service company -- both their plumbing and HVAC divisions. And their, "you'll be happy or you don't pay" is a BS! (my experience with them was about a year ago) HEP will be who I call for everything I need done done around the house!

I was told the plumber would be out between 1PM and 6PM (a five hour window!) After waiting all afternoon, I never received a call, and no plumber ever showed up. Luckily it was not an "emergency" call, I have a leaking outdoor faucet, and have called another service today. Weekend update: Well at least they called to apologize. Don't know what went wrong, but the office manager was highly apologetic, and offered a "free inspection service" for a year for house systems. I declined (and am getting the plumbing done by someone else), but at least somewhere there took the time to acknowledge their error, which is somewhat comforting.

It was very easy. They actually came early and cleaned out part of the garage. They did a great job.

We had a coupon deal with them. He came and did an excellent job, even more than what was asked for it.

We called them on Saturday because we did not have heat. Although we have a new unit that is under warranty and we are covered by a Service Agreement in addition, it was going to cost extra because no one was available until after 6:00pm. The unit finally came on and they gave us a time of between 1 & 7 pm on Monday. I asked for a Manager to call me and they never did. The technician called at 1:15 and said that he would be here within 45 minutes, which he was.

We had them out to our office to do some work; they didn't show up when they were supposed to show up. A couple of days later; we were indirect contact with the landlord but on the date they were supposed to come by they didn't it was actually later on the week. The guy who was there was very professional and resolved the issue on the first trip. They had to go out to get the part but they get the repair on the same day so we're happy on that part. The unit haven't had any issue. He didn't show up on the time they were supposed to be there; it was just not an hour but it's been several days after. They were very professional while they're in the office.

The service worked out very good, we were very pleased. They were very punctual, and very professional. They checked out our system, and we needed some work. We believe that the way they showed us the parts that needed to be replaced, we were just overall pleased with the way they conducted their business.

Our first contact with HEP was March 10, 2014. They gave us a proposal to have our heat pump ducts wrapped, under the TVA Energyright solutions contract. We were told by the HEP salesman that they would do a good job. The work was scheduled eight days later, but they called last minute to reschedule. The workers arrived to insulate the ducts, and in the process broke our water faucet, which they repaired. The Job was finished late the following evening. The next morning my husband went to the basement and found the tape used to secure the insulation was falling off, and sections of the ducts were not wrapped. The insulation had no staples to hold in place. They also covered our damper. It was a terrible job. We called to report this to HEP and they returned to redo the work four days later. We had to call HEP a second time, 3/24/2014, as they failed to insulate two sections of the duct, and the damper was still covered. HEP returned on 4/09/2014 the third time, and we asked to have the price adjusted due to the number of problems. We were offered a complimentary one year $99 heat pump maintenance plan, which we had already purchased. I called HEP office to talk with the supervisor. My call was not returned. I continued to contact the office. It was now April 4, and no resolution. HEP finally returned my call several days later, and asked what I thought was fair. I suggested $500.off the total price of the $3,975. HEP man said he would ask his supervisor and call me later that day. He did not return my call for two weeks. I continued to call HEP office. After repeated calls I was finally offered a $200 refund. I asked to have the $99 refunded from the maintenance plan. So we agreed to $299. HEP said a check would arrive by Friday, but 12 business days later no check. I contact HEP office twice again, and when my call was returned I was told the lady who wrote the checks was on vacation. The partial refund was placed in my mail box on May 6,2014. HEP was bad experience, with repeated unanswered calls, unacceptable work, poor customer relations, and our damper is still covered.

They are very professional, good price and they gave a really good quote with a detail list. They completed everything they said they were going to do.

They took care of the problem very promptly. They were competitive with other people that I had called. Their pricing seems comparative but plumbers aren’t cheap. They let me pay half of it down and then pay 2 payments for 2 months so that was really helpful for me.

The drain from my kitchen backed up. A couple of unsuccesful bottles of Drano later, it became apparent that it was a job for a plumber. As this was on Saturday morning, the prospect of spending a weekend with no dirty dishes piling up was not appealing. A quick call to HEP, and a plumber was on his way less than an hour later. All charges were explained up front, and for emergency service, were quite reasonable. In another half an hour later, the drain was flowing again. A good experience overall.

Very punctual and finished the task in 3/4 days.Each day someone would call and be there in time.Courteous staff and technicians.The job was done to our satisfaction .

After independent estimate, I called H.E.P. to reposition insulation in crawl space. The house was approximately 15 years old at the time. After the work was completed, I was surprised that I had to ask the supervisor to come out and inspect the work that the employees had done. He did come and discovered the work was not satisfactory. He said he would send them back out. My next surprise was they did not notify me nor set up a time rather they came when I was not home and took the door off the hinges to gain admittance. During this cold snap, my husband went in the crawl space to make sure vents were closed properly and insulation once again was out of place. Should a person have to pay $300 every two years to make sure insulation is secure?

They did a good job with the service call. I have had them work for me before. There was really nothing they could do, since I had to go through to county to fix the problem. However, I have been pleased before.

HEP representative arrived on-time and performed the work in a timely manner. He was very thorough and even checked on other elements of the heating system before he left. He was very friendly and professional. I felt like the cost of the repair was justified.

I was pretty sure that I needed new insulation in my crawl space (even insisted by several estimators and other people.) I had already received a truly exorbitant estimate from another company on Angie's List, and decided to get at least another estimate or two before deciding what to do. Carlos, the very friendly and kind HEP estimator, went into the crawl space and inspected it thoroughly. When he came out, I was very surprised to hear him say that I don't need new insulation, that everything has been maintained well (I had vent fans added months before to keep everything dry under there, as well.) I couldn't believe that someone would be so honest about something that had worried me for so long, and that I was sure was going to cost me more than I can afford. I had pulled money out of my retirement account, thinking that the two projects I believed I needed would run in the several thousands. Then Carlos inspected the underneath of the sunroom and gave me a great estimate for permanently closing up the spaces where the cold air was coming in. He explained everything they were going to do - the pressurized plywood and vinyl siding, the access door, and the blocking of the air coming in from underneath the deck steps. I happily signed the contract, and the work was started and finished less than two days later. I am a very happy customer! The sunroom matches the house perfectly. I am so proud of it. I know who to call from now on for all important projects!

Prompt onsite estimate was considerably lower than others. Would have been better with pictures of other completed projects. Workers arrived on time and worked efficiently. Carlos was great. Kept us in the loop and finished in almost half the time originally alotted. Very happy with results.

They came out and put a temporary cover over a portion of the roof that had a leak due to hail storm.

They are great. I use them for a ton of stuff. They are my go-to guys!

It took only about 15 minutes. They’re just too expensive.
