Description of Work: They took care of connecting existing gas lines to run into the kitchen to our stove. The person who came out hit a stud and we ended up with two holes in our kitchen tile.

Description of Work: This is the SECOND time I've been burned by HEP pricing of their services. They use an a la carte menu method to charge for each service the tech does. This charge is in addition to a trip fee that varies depending on the nature of the tech's specialty...HVAC has one trip charge, plumbing another, etc. This last experience with HEP was a $48 trip charge PLUS an outrageous charge of $72 for 10 minutes labor. There is NO allowance for actual time worked by the tech. The tech did the job well, but the $72 charge taught me to NOT TO USE HEP again !! Grade D for cost, Grade A for the tech work.

Description of Work: They came to my house during bitter cold weather when my furnace stopped working. We were having an ice and snow storm and my usual HVAC service would not come. Both techs were very polite and got the furnace working briefly. They returned the next day when it went out again. Their estimate was much higher to repair the furnace than my usual company (who did eventually come out when the weather improved) and I did not use the HEP service as a result. HEP charges were generally much higher but all workers were polite, prompt, and helpful. The $200 I paid was primarily for service calls and they did not fix the problem with the furnace. Gave me an estimate of $1500 to fix it and the other company did it for less than $200.

Description of Work: Our outside air conditioner had been making a lot of noise. He serviced bot our heating units and said the outside unit was low on freon and there was a leak. He repaired the leak and put in more freon. The cost quote over the phone was inaccurate because he said we were quoted for one unit and our house has two units. We did sign for them to come back for a spring check. Very pleased with service.

Description of Work: They installed a new master bathroom fan/heater/ventilation system. They also discovered that the previous vent/fan installed by the previous owners was only vented to a non accessible portion of my attic. So they asked if we wanted them to vent to the outside of our house. We agreed. They created an attic opening for us in the MBR walk-in closet and installed the ventilation system. They were polite, on time, reasonably priced and worked quickly. I would highly recommend them.

Description of Work: Replaced water main. They were great except for not filling in the trench or leveling it out in some places and killing a plant. Not sure if they were supposed to, but they also did not return the flower bed rocks to original placement. Since they are huge and I am a small woman, I thought they should have at least offered, but service is not what it used to be.

Description of Work: We have always had fantastic service from HEP. They have handled emergency calls, routine service calls, they have handled botched jobs from other providers, and installed new systems in our home. Try have always been honest and upfront regarding pricing, and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Description of Work: HEP was great for my roofing company. They put on our gutters in early summer of 2012. They were on time. Cleaned the mess and checked with us to make sure that we were satisfied. They walked around our house with us when the service was complete and made sure we were satisfied. We have had no problems so far with the product. HEP Painting was not were professional and the quality was less than desirable. I had a problem with a painter that each time I pointed out something was not complete or was in the contract to be done he would go behind my back and call supervisor. He would not speak to me and would say call the supervisor. When the job was complete, I was concerned that they missed several areas. One entire room only received one coat and many areas were totally missed. The base coat did not cover and the old color was bleeding through. I did call the supervisor and he showed no concern and it was never fixed.

Description of Work: Repairman on time. Has the job finished in less than 1 hour. Very happy with company. Went online made appointment, confirmation and block of time offered.

Description of Work: Used them for clogged drain and a few weeks ago had to replace heat and air system. Arrived on time and completed job on time.

Description of Work: We had an issue with our water not running early in the AM. I called before opening hours and someone answered. I told them that we thought we had an issue with our well. Even told this person that our well was very deep and changing the pump was very involved and an all day event. The person on the phone said they would have someone call us right away when their day started. We did get a call and they came out. When they come out, they said they did NOT work on submerged pumps. Not sure why they did not ask this up front. Then they said it was likely a pump issue and we should call someone else to look at it. THEN they charged us a service call fee! So we did call another company. They came out and it was NOT the pump. It was an electrical issue. I did call the manager who said they would take care of the service call fee, but I have not heard back yet. Try Brogdon's or Scott's. They are the best. Brogdon's does work on well pumps, but not sure about their after hours service.
