 + -1 moreWe were satisfied with him. He is a local guy. We held special floor joist put in this house that would allow the plumbers and the heating and air conditioning people to put all pipes and duct work above the ceiling and they did none of that. But, it may not have been their fault because we had a local idiot doing the supervising here and he did not see that they did it. They should have done it anyway, but it was much harder doing it that way than doing it the way they did. We were very unhappy with the work that they did regarding the duct work and of course the plumbing, but that was the plumbers. We had a big row over that with them, which didn't help anything. I would tell a family member or a friend that they're a pretty good group and pretty good company, but you better be right on the ball and be right there to see that the work is done the way you want it done. Overall, the quality of their installation was pretty good, even though it wasn't what I wanted. The furnace worked well for 19 years before one thing broke or just wore out and they repaired that.

Description of Work: Grisson installed gas piping in my all-electric house. Overall the job was very good. The price was much more reasonable than other quotes I received. The installation crew was friendly and responsive, and got the job done in less than one day. My only suggestion would be that the gas piping could be routed a little more neatly, but since it was routed in the attic, no one but me will be observing it.

I made it clear up front that I was picky and wanted the new install to be as neat and tidy as the original (Grissom H&A installed the original unit also) and it is. The new unit looks and performs great. The Grissom crew is professional, courteous and knowledgeable. They were respectful of my home. The crew worked very well together - these are good guys.
Description of Work: Installed a new Amana split unit heat pump. My existing 16 year old unit was going to need an expensive repair; I felt it was time to replace the unit.

Description of Work: Once again, an emergency call to Grissom's Heat & Air was responded to in a very prompt manner. Knowing that the comfort of my elderly mother is priority, a call to Jeff Grissom is usually answered with, "someone will be there in 15 minutes". Having installed, repaired and serviced my heating and air and water heaters in different homes over the past 25 years, I can count on the best and honest service for a fair price. This last service was to replace the condenser fan motor in my heating and air unit. The work was performed efficiently and the the service provider was friendly and professional.

 + -1 moreBegan doing business back in 08 due to a balky combined downstairs unit which we ultimately replaced after all other options were exhausted. (On top of that, our upstairs unit took a lightning strike which caused its demise as well.) Grissom is a quality organization, with professional techs that know what they are doing.
Description of Work: Upstairs AC unit not wanting to cool properly during the recent spate of warm weather. Sharp young gent named David came out as scheduled, isolated the problem and had us back up and running in about a half hour.

Description of Work: We determined that although the heating unit could be repaired for $900 it would be throwing money away on a heating/air conditioning unit that was already eighteen years old. Grissom had been servicing the unit sine it was installed so we asked for a quotation on a new replacement downstairs unit. They were low bid and selected to replace the old unit. They scheduled an installation time and met it promptly. They removed the old unit and installed the new one in about four hours, reconnected the gas and electric lines and we once again had heat. Grissom is very easy to deal with in that they are professional in everything they do.. If they say that they will do it, they do it. We would undoubtedly will use them again.

Description of Work: An emergency call to Jeff due to a gas leak/fire was responded to immediately. He put the H/A unit in my first home, second home and has serviced and repaired mine and my mother's home for 25 years. He is always prompt and efficient. Very professional and knowledgeable in diagnosing problem and fair in pricing the repair. Obviously, I trust him to care for my mother, so I would whole-heartily recommend him.
