Description of Work: My piano is approximately 35 years old. It has been tuned only sporadically during that time. Patrick came out and tuned the piano then took out the hammer mechanism and took it back to his shop to adjust the regulation. My piano now sounds like it just came off the showroom floor.

+ -1 moreHe did a great job and my piano sounds beautiful. He was very friendly and courteous, and called to say he would be a few minutes late due to the rush hour traffic/rain storm. Considering how out of tune the piano was, I thought he completed it quickly. I will definitely use him again.

+ 0 moreIt went very well. Mr.. Greene was very personable and professional. Repairs were very satisfactory.
Description of Work: Mr. Greene came to my house and evaluated my Huntington piano. The rusty wires did not have to be replaced, he said. It took him 3 hours to tune the piano, but he was encouraged because the screws/bolts that hold the wires were secure. Though the felt had curled on some hammers, and Mr. Greene could have taken them back to his shop to repair, he said we could glue and clamp the felt to repair them ourselves if we wanted to do so. Mr. Greene also repaired the music holder (I don't know the correct name for it) on top of the piano. He had some brass pieces to do the repair. After all this, Mr. Greene only charged me $80, which included the discount for finding him on Angie's List, plus $10 for repair of the music holder. We are very happy with Mr. Greene and the repair. We will definitely use him again.

Description of Work: We are very pleased with the tuning service performed by Patrick Greene on our 1939 vintage baby grand. We recently purchased the piano and it had not been tuned in several years; many of the upper range notes were badly out of tune. Mr. Greene spent two and a half hours constantly adjusting until the piano was in tune. It now sounds great. The price can't be beat either - only $80 for all his time and effort. We highly recommend Greene's Piano Service.

+ -1 moreHe showed up on time and tuned the piano. He also put everything back in its place and didn't leave it for me to do. He will send out a reminder card to let me know when the piano is due to be tuned again. I really appreciate the fact that he does that. He is a very nice person.

Was very prompt and professional and spent almost 3 hours working on the piano which hadn't been tuned in awhile. The piano sounds great and is holding the tune. They never responded so then I went to Angie's list and found him. He had good recommendations and Iliked his name. Years ago there was a very good piano tuner in Oak Ridge whose last name was also Greene. So it sounded like I should try him. although not related to the other Greene he turned out to be equally good. We are quite pleased.
Description of Work: Professionally tuned a piano. We are extremely pleased with his work. In addition the price charged included a $5.00 discount because we found him on Angie's list.

+ -1 moreI called Mr. Greene to make an appointment to have the piano at my home tuned and was able to make an appointment two days from the date of my call. Our piano had not been tuned in several years and sounded terrible. Mr. Green came right on time, went right to work, was very professional, and when he left the piano sounded great. While I have no idea what others charge for this service, I thought the $75 was a reasonable charge. I will definitely call him again when the piano requires tuning.
