Description of Work: Very careful with measuring and working with us to select the particular granite pieces and the layout for our kitchen counter tops.

Description of Work: Granite Transformations built a custom shower enclosure, which they retrofitted to our existing tub. We've also used them for counter tops in the past. They were very professional and prompt. We will use their services in the future and recommend their services to anyone.

Description of Work: Total redo of master bathroom - removed old shower, large old jacuzzi tube & drywalls; strengthened and upgraded subflooring & walls. Installed new tub, toilet, built new shower enclosure, installed new double sink counter with cabinets, drawers and curio cabinet. We independently added new window and had painted. Recommended electrician installed new vent fan/heater, in-floor heating tape system, lighting, and hot water recirculation to eliminate the preexisting long time to warm pipes from water heater. | |There were misunderstanding in contract about who buys flooring tile and who arranges for electrical and plumbing contractors. I thought Granite was a total provider, but was mistaken and had to make additional arrangements for these essential crafts that are needed to redo a bathroom. Some of their recommendations of who to consider led to poor quality workmanship. | |They recommended their Granite Transformation tile and decorative boarders for shower walls, sink counter tops, and floor which we viewed at their shop and selected. On the counter tops and shower walls it has worked great and continues to looks very good. On the shower stall floor it was a mistake as after the shower the water beads up, doesn't fully flow to drain, and then dries in place leaving mineral deposits that are very hard to remove. | |We had to have shower floor replaced once by Granite Transformation due to lack of slope sufficient to avoid having large puddles. We have had Granite Transformation reapply floor tiles as a number did not adhere properly and then begin to crack at joints and make noises when walked on. Same problem has again shown up a few years later in new location. Subsequent repairs showed that floor tile were put down after grout dried too much before tile installation. | |The resurfacing and new portions of cabinetry have worked out very well. Easy to maintain, looks great and drawers and cabinets work very well. This part of Granite's efforts was of high quality. | |

Description of Work: Resurfaced kitchen countertops with granite composite material. Came out one day to measure and make templates. Couple of weeks later, two workmen brought the finished countertops and installed them. Also brought in Paul The Plumber to install new faucets, water purifier, and dish soap dispenser that we had purchased from Grey-Hodges. The process involved spreading a mastic on the existing countertops, putting the new sink in place, and then laying on the preformed countertops which were made from thin sheets of the granite material. Finished front edges and backsplash are integral parts of the countertop assembly.

Description of Work: A couple of months ago we used Granite Transformations to install some counter tops for us.

Description of Work: Advertise “no mess, no stress” but our experience was nothing but stressful! Signed an agreement and paid 50% deposit for Granite Transformations Knoxville,TN to install granite in our kitchen. We were sold on this product opposed to the solid granite for the fact that they form the tops to meet flush against our wall. Also we would not have the concern of the added weight to our hardwood floors like solid granite would cause. We custom built our home 17 years ago and realized that our walls were not plumbed and cabinets not level. We heard their advertisement all over town thru various media TV, radio, newspaper, and magazines. So of course you would expect nothing less than a professional job. The operations manager came out to access our job. Said that they would need to rebuild one of our existing countertops since it was not level. So we were told up front that this would be a 2 day job instead of the usual 1 day job. They sent their man out Monday, March 21, 2011 to take out the top and rebuild it. He also removed our sink to take back to the shop. They tried to sell us with a promotion of a new sink but we already had a granite one that was not even a year old yet. He explained that they would have to take back to the shop to under mount it. Then that afternoon, another employee arrived to mask the template. That employee walked all around my kitchen with some sort of boots on that left scratch and scuff marks on my hardwood floors. I called my salesman that night to report the marks on the floor that I could not clean up on my own. Said they would take care of it the next day when they came to finish the job. Tuesday morning got a call from the operational manager about the color of granite then I had to tell him about the scuff marks said they would take care of on Wednesday when they came back to do the install. Wednesday morning 2 different installers show up and they ask where the electrical box is said our stove should have already been disconnected. They didn’t have an electrician on site to do the disconnect and re-install. Then a 3rd employee arrived to see about the problem with the new countertop (that their cabinet person had built) was not installed correctly. So they could not complete the job and we were left with a mess throughout the kitchen, no electrical power, no sink. Thursday morning 2 employees come back to finish up they were there from 9:00 to 1:00 called me to say that they were done and leaving key as I had asked with neighbor. Well I came home to what was still a mess. Dust every where, live wires were left under the stove since no electrician to hook up, my outlet at countertop not hooked back up. And found a leaking sink from the re-install they had done. Which leaked all the way thru to our basement. To summarize: Had 5 different installers in our home, plus sales, plus operations manager. They had our kitchen dysfunctional from Monday thru Thursday and left it with no clean up, Hardwood floors damaged, water damage at sink , electric at stove not connected, Countertops not flush to wall, Trim work not done under counter at cabinets. After several phone conversations with the owner of Granite Transformations they had their insurance agent come out and a claim was filed. A month later a check was issued for us to take care of the damage ourselves. See pictures attached.
