GOODMAN'S APPLIANCE & REFRIGERATION REPAIR

Description of Work: Made appointment on 12 Aug, 2011, to repair dishwasher (door would not latch), monday 8/15/11, between mid morning and early afternoon (they stated that would be approx. 11-2). At approx. 2:15 no show no call --- I called and got an answering service (it seems everything goes to answering serv first). Asked about status of appointment -- got a call back from serviceman -- he said they were running late and was headed to 3PM appt. and asked if I still wanted them to come or reschedule for Tues. -- I told him to still come today (Monday). I got called at 5:23pm. -- and was told that the serviceman was on the way --- He/they never showed ---never called -- nothing. As of today, Tuesday 8/16/11 10:10 AM No response. Have attempted to cantact them since 7:30am today (TUES). Answering Service -- unprofessional -- poor service -- rude Goodmans -- unprofessional -- incompetent. -- unresponsive -- overall experience unacceptable

Description of Work: The Dryer failed to put out heat. Repair caused the dryer to overheat so much that I thought it would set the house on fire. Repairman/owner failed to follow through and fix the problem. Did not show up ever again or returned my calls. Don't be fooled by their Kingston Pike address, it's a Mail Box.

Description of Work: The gentleman that came to fix our dishwasher was extremely professional and very nice. He told me that it was the computer and would be better off buying a new dishwasher, for the money it would take to fix it. How's that for honesty :)

Description of Work: Goodman's appliance service came out to repair our icemaker, it was not making ice cubes. The repair man said he needed to replace the bin level control. He said give it a day or so and it should work, it never worked. We had to pay $166.97, $10.00 was a destination fee. Called the next day, the answering service said the would leave a message, spoke to them and the son said his dad was on vacation, will call back. Never heard from them. When you call to speak to someone you get the answering service. We had to call another repair service and they had to take the icemaker for three weeks and order parts from GA. We were ripped off from Goodman's. They won't give us a refund, they just ripped us off. They will not even return our calls.

Description of Work: Service work on a Maytag washer. They were called to repair a washer that quit draining. Very bad experience. The serviceman was very nice and did a repair- replaced a pump. However, on the very next load of wash we did, the machine again failed to drain. We called for service, telling the scheduler that we needed a morning appointment since I had to stay off from work to meet him. They assured us they would schedule the service call as early as possible. They would not give a time, but said it was scheduled between 9 am and noon. The day of the scheduled work, when I had heard nothing by 11:30 am, I called to check that the repair was indeed scheduled. I was told that the service man would come that afternoon. This was not possible for me since I had to return to work for the afternoon. We tried several days to see if the work could be scheduled when I could get off work. Nothing would work.

Description of Work: Goodman's came to repair our refrigerator as it quit cooling. The repair man added some freon to it.
