They were great! They were very patient with my inability to make quick decisions. They helped me by providing good samples and giving me different prices on my options. The carpet itself was really fast and we love the results. I worked with John Richey and he was really good to work with.

The carpet installers were good and did a minimum amount of damage to the baseboard moldings. One item that they didn't do well is to color match show molding in the passageway. The backsplash was installed reasonably well finally but there was a lack of professionalism shown. The installer did not have the backsplash plans with him and was trying to "wing it" until I complained to his supervisor. Also in one area he was willing to leave a large gap between two metal side pieces until I called his attention to it. Also he never sealed the tile and caulked it even though this is sold as part of the project. I was told that you only caulk when the grout cracks which I have learned is not true. Despite these problems I chose to do a very expensive renovation of the master bathroom with them to save time in finding a new crew. Again the same problems arose, i.e., not bringing the plans, not having the necessary tools to do the job necessitating borrowing my tools. I made a big point about the sealing and the caulking and they finally sealed the backsplash and the tile in the bathroom. However, they did notcaulk the backsplash or fully caulk the bathroom. It should also be mentioned that throughout these projects, the salesgirl at FlorWorx showed a high level of incompetence in estimations. She ordered twice as much carpet for one room as needed which required a rebate of ~$600. She underestimated one of the backsplash tiles setting the project back for two weeks. For the master bathroom she underestimated the amount of two tiles, not only requiring a readjustment of the design scheme but also setting the project back 10 days. On top of this she way overestimated the amount for 5 different tiles again requiring a rebate of over $1,200. I should mention that I had such a cumulative bad experience that I felt the necessity of documenting all the problems with the projects and presented this in writing to both the salesgirl and the two owners of FlorWorx. When we came one day to discuss the contents of this report, the salesgirl ran into the back room and was "unavailable." (When I had a preliminary discussion with her the day before on the phone, she just kept saying that everybody makes mistakes, over and over. Finally, she said I was being rude.) The discussion with one of the owners was very disappointing. He was minimally concerned and said he felt that his crew did good jobs and the salesgirl was in a learning curve and she would be fine in the future. I know that Angie's List is prepared to negotiate between vendors and their clients but this has already been done by me and as noted the owner showed no inclination to see the client's side. He gave the impression rather that we were cranks and what more did we expect.
