After calling him he walked me through the "easy" obvious things that could be wrong with it to save us both the hassle of a call, and when we'd ruled all those out he found a time when he'd be in Farragut to come by and check the treadmill out. He spent at least 20 minutes testing it and came up with a diagnosis--likely a circuit board in the upper part (behind the screens) rather than the motor. He refused payment at that point despite the time he'd invested and said he'd look up the cost of the part and then find out how I wanted to proceed. Within hours he called to say that this particular brand no longer sells just the circuit boards for this model 9-year-old treadmill--I'd have to replace the entire upper portion of the machine, at a cost of over $1000 including parts and labor--so he recommended not repairing it at all. Obviously, it was bad news, but that bad news was tempered by the fact that I didn't have to shell out a fortune to get the news, and the bonus of meeting an honest, skilled repair person who I know I can count on and recommend in the future.

He arrived on time, communicated updated info on the replacement part being shipped, worked with my schedule, and completed the repair such that everything is working well again. Kevin is an independent and this is his own business. I would definitely recommend him to others.

 + -1 moreKevin arrived on time and was very professional. The price quoted over the phone was the actual price. Our treadmill is working great. I would recommend Kevin and would use him again in the future if needed.
Description of Work: We have a Reebok treadmill that had not been serviced in a few years. Though it was working, the belt appeared to skip. We wanted someone to make sure all was functioning as it should and just perform an overall routine maintenance that might be needed to prevent any future problems. We called Kevin at Fitness Equipment Repair, and I left a message. I received a return call the same day and was scheduled within 2 to 3 days for a service call.

 + -1 moreWe were able to get an appointment in just a few days even with a holiday weekend. Kevin arrived early, completed the job in the amount of time he had projected, cleaned up, and the bill was the same as his estimate. We would definitely use him again if we have any other problems with our treadmill
Description of Work: Our AFG treadmill quit after only 2 years and 1200 walking miles. The parts were still under warranty but the labor was not. The manufacturer gave us 2 companies in our area with certified technicians. After calling both companies, we decided to use Fitness Equipment Repair.
