Falconnier Design Company far exceeded my expectations! They were responsive to my vision for my project and developed complete professional construction plans for my home project. Damon and Rachel did an outstanding job with our initial floor plan and elevation drawings. After a 2 hour in person consultation, his first pass at our floor plan was about 95% of what we wanted, and with a few quick back and forth it was done. This while Damon is in TN and I'm in TX. Timing was as promised each step of the way, even though it was about 6 weeks between our initial consultation and the first set of floor plans (as planned). He brings 30 years of experience to the job, and it shows. His initial projections on total sq ft was very accurate.

Damien was awesome! He called me within an hour and came out the next day to begin the work. He completed the plans quickly and communicated with the city building and development agency to get the plans approved. Great service and stress free.

In the first visit we knew that Damon was the right person for the job. He took time to listen to our needs and then proceeded to draw up a first idea as we watched. After a few revisions we were in the plan stage. From start to finish it was about six weeks. I would not hesitate to hire him again or refer him to my best friend. We cannot wait for the contractor to start and then live in our new addition.

I have known Damon for over 10 years and when we needed plans to add a large screened porch, he was the first architect I thought of because I knew I could trust him. That's very important. Damon met with our entire family around our kitchen table one evening and asked my wife, two of our children ( a third is away at college) and me what we wanted in the design. He listened and asked questions to help us make initial design decisions. He took my wife and I to two finished projects so we could see various options. The project involved determining the best way to tie the replacement back porch in to the roof line and make it aesthetically pleasing. We got too options in our initial design that showed great thought on the options. Damon did a great job of explaining the options and the limitations of the different options. The initial deliverable was a complete set with four options since we couldn't make a firm decision. From these, he created a single conceptual drawing of our final decision. For the second step, we received six prints of the full stamped construction drawings and he recommended a qualified builder we are evaluating. Damon was always prompt for in person meetings and took my calls or worked with me promptly by text or e-mail which was much appreciated.

Our original patio was a slab of concrete. We now have a larger beautiful covered outdoor area that we use every day for 3 seasons of the year.

They were wonderful! Damon and his staff were very professional, punctual, and easy to work with. The overall design they came up with was perfect and we couldn't have been more pleased!

We chose Falconnier Design Company as our custom home designer based on our past association of working on several projects together. I am an engineer and had a concept the features that my wife and I wanted in our custom home. Damon conducted several interviews with us to flesh out the concept. He and Graham were very accessible during the design process and we had multiple opportunities to meet and fine tune the plan. The house turned out fabulous and the overall process was very positive.

The plans were excellent. We used them to fairly evaluate proposals from five contractors. We supplemented the plans with a handwritten semi-specification for plumbing, windows, HVAC, electrical, finish details, and exterior siding requirements. I red-marked an electrical plan on to the floor plans so that the electrical subcontractor would have a good understanding of scope. I am certain that Falconnier could have done this if asked. The architect plans were completed in July 2009 but we did not contract the work to start until December 2009. The construction work was complete in June 2010. Falconnier was made several visits during the construction period with occasional clarifications to the plans. He assisted the contractor on several construction details. He assisted greatly in developing a punch list at the end of the construction period. If you want a good project outcome for a reasonable price always start with a good set of architect plans! I am a professional engineer and I know how to read drawings but there are architectural details and code issues that only a registered architect will recognize. Making your own drawings or using a drafter to make drawings is a mistake. It will also make building permits and code inspections much easier with plans created by a registered architect. Falconnier did a great job on our project.

Construction took about six months and finished on time and pretty close to in budget. I have never worked with an architect before and I was a little leery of hiring one since I really didn't know what they did once the actual design was complete. Being something of a do-it-yourself person, I thought I might just contract it myself. That would have been a huge mistake. The time and effort they put in the job was phenomenal. I could never have done it and continue to work at my "day job". I'm pleased with my new facility and there are very few things I would change and none of those are related to the architect. This is a small firm and they will give you the personal attention you need.
