 + 1 moreI gave him a check for $2000 and he sent out a painter to do trim work . He asked for another $1400 and promiced that the work would be finished the next week. After that all I heard was excuses untill he quit taking my calls. Bottom line I am out 3400 for $200 worth of trim painting. I queried the police. Since He did some of the work, what he did was cival, not criminal. All I could do was take him to court and sue him. If I could find him, If he had any of the money left. My mistake was to pay him in advance. This man uses an Illinois Drivers Licence for ID Don't trust him,
Description of Work: Erik came out and gave me an estimate. He worked with dream home restorations. He asked for 50% up front. He was to install soffets and trim siding and do some minor repairs.
